Asymptotic symmetries on Kerr--Newman horizon without anomaly of diffeomorphism invariance
We analyze asymptotic symmetries on the Killing horizon of the
four-dimensional Kerr--Newman black hole. We first derive the asymptotic
Killing vectors on the Killing horizon, which describe the asymptotic
symmetries, and find that the general form of these asymptotic Killing vectors
is the universal one possessed by arbitrary Killing horizons. We then construct
the phase space associated with the asymptotic symmetries. It is shown that the
phase space of an extreme black hole either has the size comparable with a
non-extreme black hole, or is small enough to exclude degeneracy, depending on
whether or not the global structure of a Killing horizon particular to an
extreme black hole is respected. We also show that the central charge in the
Poisson brackets algebra of these asymptotic symmetries vanishes, which implies
that there is not an anomaly of diffeomorphism invariance. By taking into
account other results in the literature, we argue that the vanishing central
charge on a black hole horizon, in an effective theory, looks consistent with
the thermal feature of a black hole. We furthermore argue that the vanishing
central charge implies that there are infinitely many classical configurations
that are associated with the same macroscopic state, while these configurations
are distinguished physically.Comment: 14 pages, v2: references added, minor corrections, v3: new pars and

Slowly cycling Rho kinase-dependent actomyosin cross-bridge slippage explains intrinsic high compliance of detrusor smooth muscle
Biological soft tissues are viscoelastic because they display timeindependent pseudoelasticity and time-dependent viscosity. However, there is evidence that the bladder may also display plasticity, defined as an increase in strain that is unrecoverable unless work is done by the muscle. In the present study, an electronic lever was used to induce controlled changes in stress and strain to determine whether rabbit detrusor smooth muscle (rDSM) is best described as viscoelastic or viscoelastic plastic. Using sequential ramp loading and unloading cycles, stress-strain and stiffness-stress analyses revealed that rDSM displayed reversible viscoelasticity, and that the viscous component was responsible for establishing a high stiffness at low stresses that increased only modestly with increasing stress compared with the large increase produced when the viscosity was absent and only pseudoelasticity governed tissue behavior. The study also revealed that rDSM underwent softening correlating with plastic deformation and creep that was reversed slowly when tissues were incubated in a Ca2+ -containing solution. Together, the data support a model of DSM as a viscoelastic-plastic material, with the plasticity resulting from motor protein activation. This model explains the mechanism of intrinsic bladder compliance as slipping cross bridges, predicts that wall tension is dependent not only on vesicle pressure and radius but also on actomyosin cross-bridge activity, and identifies a novel molecular target for compliance regulation, both physiologically and therapeutically
Eyelid microcystic adnexal carcinoma
Microcystic adnexal carcinoma is an uncommon cutaneous tumor with multiple synonyms. On cursory microscopic examination, the tumor mimics syringoma and other benign skin adnexal tumors. However, the asymmetric, infiltrative growth pattern clearly sets the lesion apart as carcinoma. The tumor is locally aggressive, with recurrences common, but regional metastases are rare. Histogenesis is controversial. Optimal treatment consists of complete surgical excision with clear surgical margins
Leptogenesis with Dirac Neutrinos
We describe a "neutrinogenesis" mechanism whereby, in the presence of
right-handed neutrinos with sufficiently small pure Dirac masses,
(B+L)-violating sphaleron processes create the baryon asymmetry of the
Universe, even when B=L=0 initially. It is shown that the resulting neutrino
mass constraints are easily fulfilled by the neutrino masses suggested by
current experiments. We present a simple toy model which uses this mechanism to
produce the observed baryon asymmetry of the Universe. (PostScript Errors

Physical routes for the synthesis of kesterite
This paper provides an overview of the physical vapor technologies used to synthesize Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4
thin films as absorber layers for photovoltaic applications. Through the years, CZT(S,Se) thin films
have been fabricated using sequential stacking or co-sputtering of precursors as well as using
sequential or co-evaporation of elemental sources, leading to high-efficient solar cells. In addition,
pulsed laser deposition of composite targets and monograin growth by the molten salt method were
developed as alternative methods for kesterite layers deposition. This review presents the growing
increase of the kesterite-based solar cell efficiencies achieved over the recent years. A historical
description of the main issues limiting this efficiency and of the experimental pathways designed to
prevent or limit these issues is provided and discussed as well. Afinal section is dedicated to the
description of promising process steps aiming at further improvements of solar cell efficiency, such as

Coping with the extremes : comparative osteology of the tepui-associated toad Oreophrynella and its bearing on the evolution of osteological novelties in the genus
The only study of the osteology of the toad genus Oreophrynella dates back to 1971 and was based on a single species. Here, we use high-resolution X-ray microcomputed tomography to analyse the osteology of all nine described Oreophrynella species, which are compared with representatives of other bufonid lineages. Oreophrynella is unique among bufonids in having opposable digits. Osteological synapomorphies confirmed for the genus are as follows: presence of parietal fontanelles and exposed frontoparietal fontanelle, absence of quadratojugal, five presacral vertebrae, distally enlarged terminal phalanges and urostyle greatly expanded into flanges. Ancestral character reconstruction indicates that arboreal habits in some Oreophrynella species are likely to have evolved after the evolution of opposable digits. Opposable digits, in combination with an extension of the interdigital integument and the relative length/orientation of the digits, are likely to be adaptations to facilitate life on rocky tepui summits and an exaptation to arboreality. Cranial simplification in Oreophrynella, in the form of cranial fontanelles and absence of the quadratojugal, is possibly driven by a reduction of developmental costs, increase in flexibility and reduction of body weight. Cranial simplification combined with the shortening of the vertebral column and the shift towards a partly firmisternal girdle might be adaptations to the peculiar tumbling behaviour displayed by Oreophrynella
