The study has as its rationale the fact that there were stock split at the JSX during 1997 – 1999. This fact emerged after the monetary, economic and political crisis. Stock split aimed at determining stock price on optimal trading range and to increase stock liquidity. The study aimed at determining if a stock split policy influenced the return, security return variability and trading volume activity before, during or after the stock split anouncement. The study used event study method with market model. The sample were manufacturer companies at the JSX during 1997 – 1999 (41 companies). Statistical test on return, security return variability and trading volume activity used T Test : Paired Two Samples For Mean before, during or after the stock split anouncement. Statistical test on cumulative average abnormal return used T Test : One Sample For Means. Statistical test was measured on longer periods and shorter periods. The study on longer periods result showed that stock split was signify impact to return, abnormal return on before-during period dan after-during period but not signify impact on before-after period. And stock split was not signify impact to cumulative average abnormal return (CAAR), security return variability (SRV) and trading volume activity (TVA). The study on shorter periods result showed that stock split was signify impact to return, abnormal return on before-during period dan after-during period but not signify impact on before-after period. And stock split was not signify impact to cumulative average abnormal return (CAAR), security return variability (SRV) and trading volume activity (TVA). This was probably due to not enough information content of stock split anouncement, was shown on not consistency on many variabels in result and indicated that the form of Indonesian capital market especially The Jakarta Stock Exchange not yet efficient in semi strong efficientcy, was shown on significant on abnormal return result. So stock split policy at the Jakarta Stock Exchange during 1997 – 1999 not consistent with the purpose to determining the stock price in optimal trading range

Some Key Features and Possible Origin of the Metamorphic Rock-Hosted Gold Mineralization in Buru Island, Indonesia

DOI: 10.17014/ijog.v1i1.172This paper discusses characteristics of some key features of the primary Buru gold deposit as a tool for a better understanding of the deposit genesis. Currently, about 105,000 artisanal and small-scale gold miners (ASGM) are operating in two main localities, i.e. Gogorea and Gunung Botak by digging pits/shafts following gold-bearing quartz vein orientation. The gold extraction uses mercury (amalgamation) and cyanide processing. The field study identifies two types/generations of quartz veins namely (1) Early quartz veins which are segmented, sigmoidal, discontinous, and parallel to the foliation of host rock. The quartz vein is lack of sulfides, weak mineralized, crystalline, relatively clear, and maybe poor in gold, and (2) Quartz veins occurred within a ‘mineralized zone\u27 of about 100 m in width and ~1,000 m in length. The gold mineralization is strongly overprinted by an argillic alteration zone. The mineralization-alteration zone is probably parallel to the mica schist foliation and strongly controlled by N-S or NE-SW-trending structures. The gold-bearing quartz veins are characterized by banded texture particularly colloform following host rock foliation and sulphide banding, brecciated, and rare bladed-like texture. The alteration types consist of propylitic (chlorite, calcite, sericite), argillic, and carbonation represented by graphite banding and carbon flakes. The ore mineralization is characterized by pyrite, native gold, pyrrhotite, and arsenopyrite. Cinnabar, stibnite, chalcopyrite, galena, and sphalerite are rare or maybe absent. In general, sulphide minerals are rare (<3%). Fifteen rock samples were collected in Wamsaid area for geochemical assaying for Au, Ag, As, Sb, Hg, Cu, Pb, and Zn. Eleven of fifteen samples yielded more than 1.00 g/t Au, in which six of them are in excess of 3.00 g/t Au. It can be noted that all high-grade samples are originally or containing limonitic materials, that suggest the role of supergene enrichment. Interestingly, most of the high-grade samples contain also high grade As (up to 991ppm), Sb (up to 885 ppm), and Hg (up to 75 ppm). Fluid inclusions in both quartz vein types consist of four phases including L-rich, V-rich, L-V-rich, and L1-L2-V (CO2)-rich phases. Mineralizing hydrothermal fluid is typified by CO2-rich fluid, moderate temperature of 300 - 400 ºC and a typical low salinity (0.36 to 0.54 wt.% NaCl eq). Based on those key features, gold mineralization in Buru Island meets the characteristics of LS epithermal or orogenic gold deposit types; however, it tends to be fitter with orogenic gold deposit rather than another type

The central subgroup of the nonabelian tensor square of Bieberbach group with point group C2 C2

A Bieberbach group with point group  C2 xC2  is a free torsion crystallographic group. A central subgroup of a nonabelian tensor square of a group G, denoted by ∇(G) is a normal subgroup generated by generator g⊗g for all g∈G and essentially depends on the abelianization of the group. In this paper, the formula of the central subgroup of the nonabelian tensor square of one Bieberbach group with point group   C2 xC2 , of lowest dimension 3, denoted by S3 (3) is generalized up to n dimension. The consistent polycyclic presentation, the derived subgroup and the abelianization of group this group of n dimension are first determined. By using these presentations, the central subgroup of the nonabelian tensor square of this group of n dimension is constructed. The findings of this research can be further applied to compute the homological functors of this group. Keywords: Bieberbach group; central subgroup; nonabelian tensor square

Bieberbach groups are torsion free crystallographic groups. In this paper, our focus is given on the Bieberbach groups with symmetric point group of order six. The nonabelian tensor square of a group is a well known homological functor which can reveal the properties of a group. With the method developed for polycyclic groups, the nonabelian tensor square of one of the Bieberbach groups of dimension four with symmetric point group of order six is computed. The nonabelian tensor square of this group is found to be not abelian and its presentation is constructed

What is the Scaphoid View ?

Introduction.More than 60% of wrist injuries are associated with scaphoid bone fractures in young active people. Scaphoid fracture difficult to diagnose on initial radiography due to unique and complex structures of scaphoid bone, its overlapping position between other carpals bone and still no general consensus about how and which radiographic view should be taken for better expose. This let scaphoid fracture into potential complication such as non-union, delayed union, decrease of wrist joint motion, osteoarthritis of radiocarpal joint and avascular necrosis. Materials and Methods.Serial initial projection of radiograph was investigated to get the better view of scaphoid bone. Postero-anterior projection within wrist joint in extension 10°, 15°, and 20° with maximum ulnar deviation using wrist joint frame was found making the scaphoid clearer. The database was compared to get the ideal view of scaphoid. Extension and ulnar deviation were performed due to flexed position of scaphoid anatomically in neutral wrist joint position. Results. Good exposure of scaphoid is got from performing radiographic examination of wrist joint 10° extended with maximum ulnar deviation position, in a total of 60 right and left wrist joint samples of young active men and women. Conclusions.Ten degrees extension with ulnar deviation wrist joint position can be proposed to be one of standard scaphoid view on plain radiography. It is useful to assess suspicious or occult scaphoid fracture, besides neutral posteroanterior, lateral and oblique view
