Aspectos psicosociales en el embarazo en mujeres menores de edad en España

Me decidí a realizar mi Trabajo de Fin de Grado sobre los aspectos fisiológicos y emocionales en mujeres menores de edad porque considero que la gestación es uno de los momentos claves en la vida de cualquier mujer. Esta situación se ve llevada al extremo cuando tiene lugar en una menor de edad. Aunque en principio pueda parecer algo lejano y puntual, podremos comprobar que es una situación más habitual de lo que esperamos. Además de los importantes cambios anatómicos y fisiológicos que se producen durante y después del embarazo, nos centraremos en cómo influye la gestación en los aspectos psicosociales y qué consecuencias tiene en el ámbito personal de la gestante. Para llevarlo a cabo, realizaré una revisión bibliográfica, contacte también con algunos autores. Reflejaré datos que observe durante mi rotación por Maternal en el Hospital Universitario Rio Hortega. Intentaré alcanzar varios objetivos, siendo el principal, identificar las causas socioculturales del embarazo. Describiré los aspectos que se ven afectados por el embarazo, principalmente los socioculturales y emocionales, empleando datos sociodemográficos. Como resultado realizaré un Plan de Cuidados Enfermeros aplicado sobre un caso simulado. Effects of introducing a parametric Cad in a first year course in engineering degree regarding quality of technical drawings

Comunicació presentada al ICERI 2019 12th annual International Conference of Education, Research and Innovation (Seville, Spain. 11-13 November, 2019).The evolution of teaching in technical drawing during the last years has been addressed towards new paradigms based on 3D modeling. Nevertheless, not only 3D modeling skills are important for an engineer, but the ability to generate quality technical drawings also are part of the learning objectives and should, therefore, be included in the curriculum. For several years, the core subject of technical drawing at Universitat Jaume I has been a common subject during the first course of different Engineering bachelor’s degrees (Mechanical, Industrial Technologies, Electrical, Chemical, and Agrifood/Rural). However, in the last two years, the subject in the case of Agrifood Engineering has been taught independently. This course, aiming for a more intuitive introduction to 3D modeling, the subject has experienced a general methodological change for all the degrees, except for the Agrifood Engineering one. Apart from changing the order of contents with the intention of improving spatial vision, the use of a different commercial CAD software was implemented, this being parametric. In a previous work, the effect of this general methodological change was assessed through the academic performance regarding 3D modeling by comparing the scores before and after implementing the change, as well as through specific questionnaires addressed to students and teachers, obtaining very positive results. Notwithstanding, the effects of the change performed on the obtainment of technical drawings were not analyzed. Taking advantage of having two groups (the one that has experienced the change and the one that did not), they were asked to model and generate the drawing of the same parts in their final exams, with the aim of comparing the scores obtained when assessing their skills of modeling, but also in creating technical drawings (views, sections and dimensioning) and in the quality on technical drawings presentation (title block, line thickness, etc.). Scores were collected and statistical analyses were performed, bringing to light that despite the good results that were obtained in previous studies regarding the 3D modeling, teaching efforts in how to generate technical drawings with quality should be reinforced in future

Chemical and energy recovery alternatives in SWRO desalination through electro‐membrane technologies

Electro-membrane technologies are versatile processes that could contribute towards more sustainable seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination in both freshwater production and brine management, facilitating the recovery of materials and energy and driving the introduction of the circular economy paradigm in the desalination industry. Besides the potential possibilities, the implementation of electro-membrane technologies remains a challenge. The aim of this work is to present and evaluate different alternatives for harvesting renewable energy and the recovery of chemicals on an SWRO facility by means of electro-membrane technology. Acid and base self-supply by means of electrodialysis with bipolar membranes is considered, together with salinity gradient energy harvesting by means of reverse electrodialysis and pH gradient energy by means of reverse electrodialysis with bipolar membranes. The potential benefits of the proposed alternatives rely on environmental impact reduction is three-fold: (a) water bodies protection, as direct brine discharge is avoided, (b) improvements in the climate change indicator, as the recovery of renewable energy reduces the indirect emissions related to energy production, and (c) reduction of raw material consumption, as the main chemicals used in the facility are produced in-situ. Origin and evolution of guidance services in spanish universities: towards a new model

El presente artículo comienza con la realización de una introducción donde sitúa al lector en el estado de la cuestión, seguidamente se elabora una delimitación del concepto general de Orientación desde sus orígenes en el siglo XX hasta la actualidad, para llegar a alcanzar concretamente qué se entiende por Orientación en la Universidad. Seguidamente se profundiza en la Orientación Universitaria en España, viendo cuál ha sido su origen y evolución, pasando por las funciones de los servicios de orientación universitarios desarrollados hasta el momento y sus áreas de intervención, se concluye con un esbozo de lo que debe ser un servicio de orientación en la universidad actual.The following paper aims to present an overview of the counselling services at the Spanish universities. First, the article provides the background about counseling services; secondly, it tries to define the general concept of counseling in the most accurate way in order to be able to understand what University counselling means. After that, the paper gives an insight into the Spanish counseling system, in particular, how it started and how it has evolved, but also going through the different functions and intervention areas developed by that this kind of services. Finally, the paper concludes with an outline showing how the ideal university counseling service should be. Diabetes y cáncer

La diabetes mellitus y el cáncer son dos enfermedades que han ido creciendo con los años y que presentan una elevada prevalencia en la actualidad. La diabetes tipo 2 parece encontrarse relacionada con determinados tipos de cáncer, al igual que parece aumentar su recurrencia y mortalidad. Estas dos patologías pueden verse conectadas por los factores de riesgo que ambas comparten, sobre todo por la obesidad, y los mecanismos biológicos, siendo los puntos claves la insulina, el IGF-1 y las vías de señalización que activan, que en situación de hiperinsulinemia, pueden llevar a cabo un papel fundamental en el desarrollo de cáncer. Entre los fármacos usados para el tratamiento de la diabetes tipo 2, se puede diferenciar entre aquellos que parecen influir en la aparición de cáncer y fármacos, como la metformina, que parece ejercer un efecto protector antitumoral al disminuir la mortalidad y la recurrencia de cáncer, por lo que su co-administración junto a quimioterapia en pacientes diabéticos con cáncer, parece mejorar la clínica de esta situación

La construcción de la arquitectura del vino en la comarca Utiel-Requena. El caso de Caudete de las Fuentes

Wine's world has been studied from different angles through history, but the most domestic architecture, related to its manufacture, has always been pushed into the background. In some parts of Spain, the research on this type of architecture has a longer history, perhaps driven by business opportunities that other de- nominations of origin bring. Till rather recently, in the denomination of origin Utiel-Requena, asso- ciated to the county with the same name, no interest was shown for this type of contributions for various reasons. This thesis aims at contributing into the research of this speci c geo- graphical area, starting at one of the townships of the county, Caude- te de las Fuentes, setting the basis to develop an inventory of popular architecture related to wine in the rest of townships that con gure the county. This can serve to initiate a protocol used by owners, private or not, to improve maintenance or valorization activities. This way, the heritage that we get from our ancestors is protected, im- portant for future generations, something that otherwise would get inevitably lost.El mundo del vino se ha estudiado desde diversas perspectivas a lo largo de la historia, pero la arquitectura ma's dome'stica, vinculada a su elabo- racio'n, siempre se ha dejado en un segundo plano. En algunas partes de Espan¿a los estudios sobre este tipo de arquitectura han ido desarrolla'ndose con anterioridad, quiza's por la perspectiva de negocio que llevaban consigo otras denominaciones de origen. Hasta hace poco en la denominacio'n de origen Utiel-Requena, que esta' vinculada a la comarca con el mismo nombre, no se demostraba intere's por este tipo de aportaciones por diversas razones. Esta tesis doctoral quiere aportar su granito de arena a la investigacio'n de esta zona concreta, empezando por uno de los municipios que forma parte de la comarca, Caudete de las Fuentes, sentando las bases para desarrollar un censo de arquitectura popular vinculada al vino en cada uno de los restantes municipios que componen la comarca. Esto puede servir para iniciar un protocolo en el que puedan basarse los propietarios, privados o no, para su mantenimiento o puesta en valor. Cryopreservation of Human Pluripotent Stem Cells: Are We Going in the Right Direction?

The first derivation of human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) (Thomson et al., 1998) and the more recently development of human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) (Park et al., 2008; Takahashi et al., 2007; Takahashi & Yamanaka, 2006; Wernig et al., 2007; Yu et al., 2007) have marked the beginning of a new era in biomedical research. These two types of human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) are characterized by an unlimited capacity to selfrenew while retaining their potential to differentiate into almost all cell types of the body (Odorico et al., 2001; Reubinoff et al., 2000; Silva & Smith, 2008). These remarkable properties turn hPSCs into one of the most interesting cell types for toxicology and drug discovery, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine (Battey, 2007; Mountford, 2008). In fact, work with hPSCs has already provided new and exciting developments that may eventually lead to the creation of novel cell-based therapies for the treatment of a wide range of human diseases including Parkinson’s and other neurodegenerative diseases, diabetes, cardiac and vascular diseases (Kiskinis & Eggan, 2010; Ronaghi et al., 2010).
