The boundedness of Bessel-Riesz operators on generalized Morrey spaces

    Get PDF
In this paper, we prove the boundedness of Bessel-Riesz operators on generalized Morrey spaces. The proof uses the usual dyadic decomposition, a Hedberg-type inequality for the operators, and the boundedness of Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator. Our results reveal that the norm of the operators is dominated by the norm of the kernels.Comment: 10 page

The research objectives of the study are to investigate whether there are any positive relationships between CFP and CSR under the slack resource theory and to investigate whether there are any positive relationships between CSR and CFP under good management theory by integrating concept of strategic management into the definition of CSR as sustainable corporate performance including economy, social, and environment. To answer the research questions of this study, questionnaire-based survey research design was used. The questionnaires that include items representing variables in this study (corporate social performance, corporate financial performance, business environment, strategy, organization structure, and control system) were sent to the respondents who are managers of state-owned companies (BUMN) and private- owned companies using post and e-mail services. There is a positive relationship between CFP and CSP under the slack resource theory and under good management theory. Keywords: corporate social performance, corporate financial performance, business environment, strategy, organization structure, and control system, slack resource theory, good management theor

Low-temperature partial transient liquid phase diffusion bonding of Al/Mg2Si metal matrix composite to AZ91D using Al-based interlayer

    Get PDF
Partial transient liquid phase diffusion bonding of an aluminium metal matrix composite (Al/Mg2Si) to magnesium alloy (AZ91D) was performed using two heating rates. The influence of different heating rates on the microstructure, microhardness and shear strength has been studied. With a decrease in heating rate from 20 to 2 °C/min, the Mg content in the bond line decreased and the microstructure was altered. The composition and microstructure of the joined areas were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy equipped with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). It was found that a heating rate of 2 °C/min resulted in an increasing in the shear strength of the joints. The kinetics of the bonding process accelerated due to the increase of solute diffusivity through grain boundaries of the metal matrix composite. Results suggest that Mg and Si contained in the interlayer favours the partial disruption of oxide films, facilitating the bonding process

Mesoscale numerical approach to predict macroscale fluid flow problems

    Get PDF
We present a detailed analysis of the lattice Boltzmann method to simulate an incompressible fluid flow problem. Thorough derivation of macroscopic hydrodynamics equations from the continuous Boltzmann equation is performed. After showing how the formulation of the mesoscale particle dynamics fits in to the framework of lattice Boltzmann simulations, numerical results of isothermal, thermal and multiphase fluid flow are presented to highlight the applicability of the approach. The objective of the paper is to gain better understanding of this relatively new approach for applied engineering problems in fluid transport phenomena

Determination of effective diffusion coefficient of immobilized Baker's yeast invertase in various concentration of PVA-alginate matrix

    Get PDF
Baker's yeast invertase is immobilized in PVA-alginate matrix using an improved method. PVA beads were prepared by adding calcium alginate to improve its stability, mechanical and chemical properties. Boric acid was used as the cross-linking agent and additional chemicals consisting of 10% boric acid and sodium sulphate solution was used as a treatment solution to harden the PVA-alginate beads. The determination of the effective diffusion of PVA-alginate matrix the vital step in optimizing the preparation of immobilized and water-soluble biocatalyst. In this study the two-level full factorial design was used to investigate the effect of PVA and boric acid concentrations and diffusions coefficient. Diffusion coefficient (De) is one of the factors that significantly affect the mass transport within the immobilization matrix. De value varies for each concentration of PVA and boric acid. The result concluded that both factors significantly affect the De. A maximum De value of 5.0141 x 10(-5) cm2s-1 was obtained at boric acid and PVA concentraion of 7w/v and 10.5 w/v respectively

Based on curriculum (KTSP), speaking isone of skills in mastering English that must be taught and learned in junior high school. Al-Kautsar Boarding School is one of the schools that apply it as a guide in teaching learning process. After doing preliminary observation at Al-Kautsar Boarding School Pekanbaru, some of the students of the second year still have low ability in their speaking. The researcher interpreted that they have low ability in speaking were indicated because they still have low vocabularies in expressing their ideas in English. Thus, the researcher interested to conduct the research entitlesThe Effect of Hot Seat Strategy on Students’ Speaking Ability at Al-Kautsar Islamic Modern Boarding School Pekanbaru. The type of the research was quasi-experimental research. The main focus of this research was to find out a significant effect of improvement students’ speaking ability at the second years of Al-Kautsar Islamic Modern Boarding School Pekanbaru between students who were taught by using Hot Seat Strategy and who were taught by using Conventional strategy. The subject of this research was the second year students of Al-Kautsar Boarding School Pekanbaru. In this research, the researcher took two classes; experimental and control class from the three classes. It means that 60 students as the sample from 91 students of population by using clustering sample randomly based on group. In collecting the data, the researcher used test. The test used was oral presentation test. In analyzing the data, the researcher used SPSS16. Finally, the research found that the significant number was 0.000<0.05. Based on the significance result above, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Besides, it can be proved from mean score of students’ speaking ability of post-test at experimental class was 60.87, while students’ speaking ability of post-test at control class was 52.47. Furthermore, the mean score improvement of students’ speaking at experimental class was 12.20 (26.42%) while in control class only 4.40 (9.32%). In conclusion, there is a significance effect of improvement of students’ speaking ability between students who were taught by using Hot Seat Strategy and who were taught by using Conventional Strategy. So, the effect on mean indicate that the use of Hot Seat Strategy is better than Conventional Strategy

Development is the most important things in building a nation. Building a nation means giving the people of country, prosperity. From long time ago, the development that applied by many countries was known as Conventional Development. That is the development by using all resources which the state owned, to get more benefit from great exploitation, especially from the natural resources. For country with huge natural resouces like Indonesia, economic fulfillment by mineral eksploration is the fastest way to reach funding for development needs. Year by year eksploration faces Indonesian to an ecological problem nowaday. Several matters then need to be posed: what is actually the development method that enhanced by the government to fulfil the cost of development; why the mining sector was chosen as the way to accelerate the development; who become the winners and which people that lost in this paradigm? By the time, some countries finally face the largest problem from it, the sustainability, that is, it becomes important theme discussed everywhere, because it contains the governments' responsibilities for the future generation
