    Get PDF
The paper describes some chemical transformations of the mixed-metal palladium (II) complexes, including interactions of binuclear complexes with pyridine, 1,10-phenanthroline and bipyridine; also described thermal and reductive transformations of some binuclear and pentanuclear nitrogen-containing complexes, in particular red-ox transformations in reductive media to yield mixed-metal nanomaterials. For this nanomaterials and nanoalloys also provided HREM and TEM investigations. When you are citing the document, use the following link http://essuir.sumdu.edu.ua/handle/123456789/3523

Study of the effect of neutrino oscillation on the supernova neutrino signal with the LVD detector

We present an update of our previous study (astro-ph/0112312) on how ν\nu oscillations affect the signal from a supernova core collapse observed in the LVD detector at LNGS. In this paper we use a recent, more precise determination of the cross section (astro-ph/0302055) to calculate the expected number of inverse beta decay events, we introduce in the simulation also the ν\nu-{\rm Fe} interactions, we include the Earth matter effects and, finally, we study also the inverted mass hierarchy case.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figures, to appear in the Proceedings of ICRC 200

Study of the effect of neutrino oscillations on the supernova neutrino signal in the LVD detector

The LVD detector, located in the INFN Gran Sasso National Laboratory (Italy), studies supernova neutrinos through the interactions with protons and carbon nuclei in the liquid scintillator and interactions with the iron nuclei of the support structure. We investigate the effect of neutrino oscillations in the signal expected in the LVD detector. The MSW effect has been studied in detail for neutrinos travelling through the collapsing star and the Earth. We show that the expected number of events and their energy spectrum are sensitive to the oscillation parameters, in particular to the mass hierarchy and the value of θ13\theta_{13}, presently unknown. Finally we discuss the astrophysical uncertainties, showing their importance and comparing it with the effect of neutrino oscillations on the expected signal.Comment: Accepted for pubblication on Astroparticle Physics. 36 pages, 18 figure

Visualization of the emotional vocabulary of the Chinese language as exemplified in the associative experiment

    No full text
This scientific research is aimed at describing of semantic connotations of the emotional words joy, sadness, happiness, sorrow, anger, love, hatred, fear, envy, jealousy, conscience, hope in the Chinese language. To achieve the stated objective, the authors used the method of the associative experiment as the most convenient way to visualize the linguistic consciousness of native speakers. With its help, one can judge about the features of the human linguistic consciousness functioning and the ways of constructing speech utterances, which are usually not recognized by native speakers and are not identified by other methods of investigation. Associations in this aspect are considered as one of the means of access to the human linguistic consciousness and the construction of the fundamental values of man and the ethos as a whole on their basis. A large number of Chinese students in the People’s Friendship University of Russia made it possible to conduct an associative experiment in a computer class where one hundred Chinese respondents aged 17-25, most of whom are atheists and do not represent any confessions, were asked to fill out a questionnaire translated into Chinese. According to the research ethics, the principle of anonymity was respected during the experiment. The questionnaires completed in Chinese were translated into Russian and thoroughly analyzed. © 2018, Slovenska Vzdelavacia Obstaravacia. All rights reserved

The impact of higher voltage and current harmonics on the operation of electrical systems

    No full text
The article deals with the assessment of impact of higher harmonics on the operation of variablefrequency electric drive systems used in processing units at mining enterprises. Beyond that, energy efficiency and operation experience of variable-frequency electric drive usage at mining enterprises were studied. The advantages and drawbacks of implementation of variable-frequency electric drive systems were found. They include energy saving and reducing maintenance costs for processing units on one hand, as well as losses due to their incorrect selection and electromagnetic compatibility distortion on the other hand

Energy conservation challenges and potential in Russia’s North-East region

    No full text
The paper discusses challenges and a potential of fuel and energy savings in one of the republics of the North-Eastern region of the Russian Federation. The authors show the challenges of energyand heatsaving, with due account too particular features of Sakha Republic (Yakutia), which include: inconsistency of the actual operating conditions of the equipment with the requirements of regulatory documents in force; problems in supplying the consumers in the decentralized zone. The region’s goals in the segment of energy saving are determined. A detailed assessment of energy-saving potential in the electricity, thermal and fuel saving sectors is carried out. Energy saving is achieved mainly by reducing the losses in general-purpose utility networks, when switching to energy-saving lighting devices, as well as by reducing electricity consumption rate for water pumping, supply and sewage disposal. Heat energy savings can primarily be achieved only by reducing losses in heating services’ networks. Considerable fuel savings can be obtained by reducing the fuel consumption rate in boiler houses and diesel-run power plants. The results show high potential for energy savings in the region. Energyand fuel-intensive activities alone could save the estimated 1 million TOE every year

Calculation and Construction of Load Diagrams and Static Characteristics of Multi-Motor Electric Drive System Using Methods of Equivalent Forces and Reduced Moments

    No full text
This paper includes the calculations and construction of load diagrams and static characteristics of individual mechanisms of a mining combine, which form a combined multi-motor electric drive system, using methods of equivalent efforts and reduced moments. The operating forces of idle and on-load mechanisms are calculated, operation time intervals and a complete working cycle are determined. The load diagrams of mechanisms are constructed and their kinematic diagrams are designed. Based on the calculations made, asynchronous motors with a short-circuit rotor, which have the closest power values and are suitable in terms of voltage and operating mode, were selected from the catalogue. The gear reduction ratio is calculated, static resistance moments and operating speeds to the motor shaft are specified. The static characteristics of the most powerful electric motor of a mining combine - effector - are formulated
