Appeared last century, nowadays the Internet is used in all areas of human life. Unfortunately, sometimes we disclose much more information about ourselves in the web than ever before, and much information about us is gathered not only by organizations where we study, work, get scholarship or salary but also by the largest software manufacturing corporations such as Microsoft. That is why there is a tense discussion about confidentiality in the Internet in the modern societ

In connection with the World Cup in 2018 in the Russian Federation, including the qualifying matches of the World Championship in Yekaterinburg, the Government of the Sverdlovsk Regiondecided to place a training ground on the territory of the "Park-stadium Khimmash". For this purpose, a sports field reconstruction project was created and implemented. The article is devoted to the assessment of negative consequences for plantings of the "Park-stadium Khimmash" in Yekaterinburg as a result of the construction, which led to the destruction of 388 trees, 95 of them are pine trees. The park historically originated on the site of a natural pine plantation. Cutting down so many trees led to further disintegration of the stand. According to the project, the replacement of felled large park trees of pine and birch by willow and apple trees is recommended, which led to the destruction of natural landscapes that have survived in the urban environment. At the same time, not only the aesthetic perception is worsened, but the ecological criteria of the industrial area of the city are also reduced. First of all, the oxygen-producing possibilities of the plantation decreased, which is reflected in the economic assessment of the consequences. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. All rights reserved

Development of an oximeter for neurology

Cerebral desaturation can occur during surgery manipulation, whereas otherparameters vary insignificantly. Prolonged intervals of cerebral anoxia can cause seriousdamage to the nervous system. Commonly used method for measurement of cerebral bloodflow uses invasive catheters. Other techniques include single photon emission computedtomography (SPECT), positron emission tomography (PET), magnetic resonance imaging(MRI). Tomographic methods frequently use isotope administration, that may result inanaphylactic reactions to contrast media and associated nerve diseases. Moreover, the high costand the need for continuous monitoring make it difficult to apply these techniques in clinicalpractice. Cerebral oximetry is a method for measuring oxygen saturation using infraredspectrometry. Moreover reflection pulse oximetry can detect sudden changes in sympathetictone. For this purpose the reflectance pulse oximeter for use in neurology is developed.Reflectance oximeter has a definite advantage as it can be used to measure oxygen saturation inany part of the body. Preliminary results indicate that the device has a good resolution and highreliability. Modern applied schematics have improved device characteristics compared withexisting ones

The dynamics of content of retinol and α–tocopherol is studied in yolk of eggs and liver of chickens depending on the receipt of these vitamins with a feed of hens. The maximal in this experience even depositing of vitamins А and Е is set in a hens liver and yolk – at the different dose in their ration. It is well–proven that entering of increase doses of vitamins A and Е, organism of laying chickens–hens is accompanied by the accumulation of them not only in their liver and yolk of eggs but also in the chickens organism. Application of 10–multiple doses of vitamins A and Е in the hens ration results in the increase of concentration of these vitamins in yolk, almost in 3 and 7 times, accordingly. Certainly, that under the action of high doses of vitamin А the accumulation of vitamin Е goes  down in a vitellus, but the increase of concentration of vitamin Е in yolk does not influence negatively on the accumulation of vitamin A, vice versa – the concentration of retinol grows also.It is set that the concentration of vitamin А in the liver of chickens rises in 6,4 times at application. The concentration of vitamin Е in the chickens liver rises in 18,6 times at application of 20–multiple dose of vitamin Е. Accumulation of vitamins A and Е in the liver of laying hens, to the vitellus and in the chickens liver is the display of intervitamin cooperations of retinol and α–tocopherol in the organism of bird. The features of accumulation of these vitamins must be taken into account at the receipt of incubation eggs and quality healthy posterity

Training students for intercultural communication in a dynamic world: a challenge in continuing education

    Get PDF
The article discusses the problems related to preparing students for intercultural communication within the context of continuing education. The authors develop a set of definitions concerning the process of training students for intercultural communication. Additionally, the current need to review conventional approaches to the preparation of students for intercultural communication vis-à-vis the implementation of novel strategies is highlighted. The primary goal of the research is to establish a repeatable preparation process, which is practice-focused. The range of tasks suggested by the authors reflects the practical application of these strategies. Thus the following aspects have been identified as the most critical drivers: (1) a continuous and practice-focused process which facilitates the preparation for intercultural communication; (2) the use of case-based reasoning for researching and updating the tools and methods within the process of preparation of students for intercultural communication; (3) and a systematic approach to task development within the learning process (e.g., case studies, role plays, mixed interaction, networking, etc.). This method enables the adoption and concurrent adjustment of the teaching practices in order to fulfil the educational goals of diverse intercultural communication programs. Optimized practices and strategies can subsequently be collected, disseminated, and ultimately replicated within other post-secondary settings and contexts

Using the scenarios of simulation case assignments in the educational process of students in the specialty "State and Municipal Management", master's degree programme

The article is devoted to the use of simulation case assignments in the learning process of students pursuing a Master's degree in "State and Municipal Management" at Russian State Social University. This university was established in 1991 for the high-quality training of specialists in the social sphere. The specialty "State and Municipal Management" enables students to explore the theoretical and practical levels, the essence and features of management interactions in the system of state and municipal administration, the main objectives, tasks and mechanisms of governance at the state and municipal levels, the methods and means of attracting investments in the economy of the municipality and the region, the features of the management system of the asset portfolio. The discipline "Sociology of Management" is the base for the direction of training "State and Municipal Management". The knowledge and skills acquired during the study contribute to a better understanding of the social, political, and economic patterns of management processes. Management sociology is a science which summarizes all management sciences in terms of targeting and special study of the patterns of managerial relations at all levels of society and its elements' functioning, as well as in all subject areas, the spheres of activity in society. The study of sociology as a science about relationships in the process of governance, connections, and interactions of the subjects of management activity in Russia has started relatively recently. In the mid-1990s, scientific readings and conferences were focused on the definition of the substantive field of science, its structure. Over these years, the situation has been as follows. The sociologists who violently debated and developed this scientific direction, after the appearance of the specialty "Management in Social Sphere" in 1996, in 1999 - the specialty "State and Municipal Management", and in 2002 - the specialty "Personnel Management", handed the study of this discipline to managers. And all of these management specialties found themselves in the consolidated group of professions "Economics and Management". This greatly affected the gap in the subject field of management itself. Most economists imagined that management is economics. The lawyers of those universities where departments of "Public Administration and Legal Support" were established never doubted that management is a legal sphere of activity. None of them paid special attention to the sociological component. However, those universities, which in the course of training in the field of state and municipal government created departments of sociology management in their structure or modules in the curricula, provide the most high-quality preparation of future managers. © 2018 Authors
