ABSTRACT Cod liver oil as a source PUFA (Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid) has very diverse and complex benefits, including for heart health. This study aimed to improve the lipid profile of male local rabbit which was fed commercial supplementation of cod liver oil. The experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with four feed treatments, ie commercial feed without supplementation of cod liver oil (P0) as control, commercial feed supplemented by cod liver oil 1.5% (P1), commercial feed supplemented by oil liver of 3% cod (P2) and commercial feed supplementation of cod liver oil 4.5% (P3).Each treatment consists of eight rabbits. The variables observed were total cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL, and HDL levels. The data obtained were analyzed with ANOVA and if significantly different were tested further with DMRT. The results showed that supplementation of cod liver oil with different levels in commercial feed showed significantly different results (P <0.05) on total cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL, and HDL levels of local rabbit. It can be concluded that supplementation of cod liver oil in commercial feed to the extent 4.5% capable repair the lipid profile of male local rabbit because it can decreased total cholesterol levels, decrease triglycerides levels, decreased LDL levels, and increased HDL levels

Maintenance calf breeders Bali less profitable for farmers may even affect revenues and increase production costs so that the habit of selling livestock farmers owned calf after the age of 6-8 months with relatively low prices because there is the determinant of the price of the middleman (broker). This can happen because the knowledge of the marketing of livestock products, especially on the price of calf Bali is not known with certainty and easily by livestock farmers. Knowing the purpose of this study is the cause farmers to sell, as well as the motivation of farmers to produce and market a calf Bali. Analyze marketing channels, as well as the impact on the income of farmers. Finding the calf Bali marketing system that is able to increase the income of farmers. Problems in this study are why farmers tend to sell calves? How marketing channels, income, motivation, as well as the government's role in helping farmers to increase their income from the sale calf? This research is explorative through surveys designed as a research explanations (explanatory research design) As well as this study is a combination of qualitative and quantitative with the main approaches used in solving the problem in this research is the quantitative approach, the complex is formulated as a quantitative model that is formulated in mathematics. This research was conducted on the calf Bali marketing system and market and Orion spread across two districts in the island namely: Badung and Buleleng. Locations were selected intentionally (purposive sampling) based on the population of Bali that most cows. Instrument or a measuring tool that is used as a research interview guide to help obtain answers from respondents is structured questionnaires and covered equipped open question. Data used in the form of quantitative and qualitative data. Qualitative data includes the characteristics of respondents, channel and marketing functions performed by any individual or institution related marketing, and analyzed descriptively. Quantitative data includes the margin and marketing costs as well as the farmer's share were analyzed to measure the efficiency of marketing. The collected data is then analyzed by means of simplified tabulation for easy counting. The results showed that farmers sell calf because there is an urgent need that must be met as school children (70%), 20 % because there are no cages and 10 % for not more than one calf want to look after. Marketing channels and Orion involving breeders and animal markets . There are four channels are formed from marketing agencies , namely : marketing channel I ( farmers - livestock market 10 % ) , marketing channels II ( Breeders - Orion - Animal Market 75 % ) , Channel III ( Breeders - groups of 5 % ) . And channels to IV (breeder to another breeder to breeder maintained in accordance purposes 10 %

The research aims to determine the consumption, nutrient digestibility and nitrogen retention in PE goats, which has been carried out in Sidemen Village, Karangasem, Bali and in the Lab. Animal Nutrition and Feed at Udayana University. The research design used was the Latin Square Design (LSD) with treatment consisting of (P1) 55% field grass with 45% concentrate; (P2) 55% field grass with 15% Gamal and 30% concentrate; (P3) 55% field grass with 30% Gamal and 15% concentrate; (P4) 55% field grass with 45% Gamal. Research variables include consumption, nutrient digestibility and nitrogen retention. The results showed the consumption of dry matter and crude protein between treatments was not significantly different (P> 0.05). Crude fiber consumption of P4 treatment was significantly (P <0.05) higher than P1, but P4 was not significant (P> 0.05) higher than P2 and P3. The dry matter digestibility coefficient and crude fiber digestibility coefficient between treatments were statistically significantly different (P> 0.05). The digestibility coefficient of organic matter, crude protein digestion coefficient and nitrogen retention in the P1 treatment were not significantly (P> 0.05) higher than P2, but P1 was significantly (P <0.05) higher than P3 and P4

In Indonesia including Bali island until now, a lot of Etawah Goat Crossbred raised by farmers. Inthe island, there was lots of agriculture by products available which were not much used yet for animalfeed. There is an opportunity the product were supplemented with Optizym enzyme to feed the animal. The enzyme was a cellulotic one. The objective of this experiment was to study hematology (packaged cellvolume, hemoglobin, erythrocytes, leukocytes, neutrophil, lymphocyte, monocyte, eosinophil, sedimentationrate) and clinical chemistry of blood (creatinine, urea, serum glutamic piruvat transaminase, serum glutamicoxaloacetic transaminase, glucose, and cholesterol). The experiment was conducted for 2 months at Bukit-Jimbaran, Badung, Bali. Measurements were conducted on the packaged cell volume with the method ofmicrohematocrite, hemoglobin with the method of Hematin (Hemoglobinometer or Hemometer Sahli),erythrocytes and leukocytes with the method of Hemocytometer (improved Neubaeur), differential ofleukocytes (neutrophil, lymphocyte, monocyte, eosinophil) with the method of slide; and blood sedimentationrate with the method of Westergreen, while measurements of the creatinine, urea, serum glutamic piruvattransaminase, serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase, glucose, and cholesterol were conducted with Reflotron Plus modified Reflovet Plus (Roch).Data were analyzed with Analysis of Variance. Results ofthe experiment showed that supplementation of the optizym for 0,25 kg and 0,50 kg in every 100 kg basaldiet of agriculture by products (unconventional) were not increased significantly on the packaged cellvolume, hemoglobin, total erythrocytes, total leucocytes, neuthrophil, lymposite, monocyte and the samething was also occurred on serum glutamic piruvat transaminase, serum glutamic oxaloacetictransaminase, glucose, and cholesterol of the animals (P > 0.05) compared to the untreated one; while therest (blood sedimentation rate, creatinine, and urea) were on the other way around (P < 0.05). However, they were not affected their performances. The animals still look healthy. It can be concluded that thesupplementation of the optizym in this case was no effect to hematology and clinical chemistry of blood
