El efecto del uso del modelo de educación deportiva en el desarrollo multidireccional de los estudiantes: un estudio de metaanálisis

In this study, the effect of the sports education model in the lessons was examined. A total of 54 data belonging to 39 studies that comply with the inclusion criteria out of 159 studies were collected. The number of samples to which the sports education model is applied and the data is provided is 3.655 people. In the studies examined within the scope of meta-analysis (the use of sports education model), the information and findings regarding the students' multi-directional development areas are the subtitles of the study. According to the results of the research, the effect size of using the sports education model in the multi-directional development area is medium (d = 0.533). As a result of the moderator analysis, significant differences were determined for the education level and publication year.  En este estudio, se examinó el efecto del modelo de educación deportiva en las lecciones. Se recopiló un total de 54 datos de 39 estudios que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión de 159 estudios. El número de muestra en el que se aplicó el modelo de educación deportiva y se aportaron los datos es de 3.655 personas. En los estudios examinados dentro del alcance del metaanálisis (uso del modelo de educación deportiva), la información y los hallazgos relacionados con las áreas de desarrollo multidimensional de los estudiantes son los subtítulos del estudio. Según los resultados de la investigación, el tamaño del efecto de utilizar el modelo de educación deportiva en el campo del desarrollo multidimensional es medio (d = 0,533). Se determinaron diferencias significativas por nivel educativo y año de publicación como resultado del análisis del moderador

Fotosentez ve Solunum Süreçleri: Öğretmen Adaylarının Anlama Düzeyleri

The purpose of this study was to determine and compare prospective teachers’ conceptions of photosynthesis and respiration processes that are important subjects in a science and technology course. A questionnaire with two open-ended questions was administered to 90 senior students from the Elementary Science Department and 62 sophomore students from the Primary Education Department, in the Faculty of Education, Pamukkale University, Denizli, Turkey. A survey method was carried out in this study. The data were of qualitative nature and were analyzed by using the technique of content analysis to reveal the emerging themes. Prospective teachers’ conceptions were categorized at three levels, namely, correct, partially correct, and incorrect. Results show that the scientifically acceptable definitions of photosynthesis and respiration are forty-two and twenty-nine percent for prospective elementary science teachers, and five and two percent for prospective classroom teachers, respectively. Participants held four misconceptions related to photosynthesis and two misconceptions related to respiration. The sources of prospective teachers’ misconceptions about photosynthesis and respiration processes were discussed based on the science education literature. Their surface understanding of chemical reactions may be at the root of these misconceptions.Bu çalışmanın amacı, öğretmen adaylarının fen ve teknoloji dersinin iki önemli konusu olan fotosentez ve solunum süreçlerini kavramalarını belirlemek ve karşılaştırmaktır. Pamukkale Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi’ne kayıtlı, fen bilgisi öğretmenliğinden 90 dördüncü sınıf öğrencisi ve sınıf öğretmenliğinden 62 ikinci sınıf öğrencisine iki açık-uçlu soru içeren anket uygulanmıştır. Bu çalışmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Nitel yolla toplanan veriler, içerik analizi tekniği ile çözümlenerek temalar elde edilmiştir. Öğretmen adaylarının fotosentez ve solunum süreçlerini kavramaları; doğru, kısmen doğru ve yanlış olmak üzere üç seviyede kategorize edilmiştir. Bulgular, fen bilgisi öğretmeni adaylarının %42’sinin fotosentezi ve %29’unun solunumu; sınıf öğretmen adaylarının ise %5’inin fotosentezi ve %2’sinin solunumu bilimsel anlamda tanımladığını gösterir. Katılımcılar fotosentezle ilgili dört ve solunumla ilgili iki kavram yanılgısına sahiptirler. Öğretmeni adaylarının fotosentez ve solunumla ilgili kavram yanılgılarının kaynakları alanyazına dayanılarak tartışıldı. Onların kimyasal denklemler hakkındaki yüzeysel anlayışları, kavram yanılgılarının bir kaynağı olabilir

Examining the success motivation of the wrestlers in the Turkish national team

This research was carried out using the scanning model. The aim of the research is to examine the motivations of the wrestlers who compete in the national team in terms of some variables. The universe of the research consists of women and men athletes in the wrestling national team, Antalya stars victory tournament, Yalova young women wrestling national team international tournament camp, Ankara senior free wrestling a national team European championship camp, Bursa ccbnhjjjjmhnseniors gekoromen and u-23 national teams in the European championship camp. . The sample of the study consists of a total of 175 athletes, 125 male and 50 female athletes in the universe of the research and who voluntarily participated in the research. In the research, Sports Specific Success Motivation Scale (SÖBMÖ) was used as a data collection tool. The data were analyzed by statistical analysis program. Non-parametric test techniques were used because the data did not show normal distribution. According to the analysis results of the research, a statistically significant difference was found between the total motivation scores of the athletes in terms of gender and sports history variables (p 0.05). As a result, a difference was found between female athletes and the motives of male athletes to avoid failure. In addition, it has been determined that the athlete's past has an effect on motivation for success. Keywords: Wrestling, Sports, Success and motivatio

Simulation modeling for quality and productivity in steel cord manufacturing

We describe the application of simulation modeling to estimate and improve quality and productivity performance of a steel cord manufacturing system. We describe the typical steel cord manufacturing plant, emphasize its distinguishing characteristics, identify various production settings and discuss applicability of simulation as a management decision support tool. Besides presenting the general structure of the developed simulation model, we focus on wire fractures, which can be an important source of system disruption
