Degree correlation effect of bipartite network on personalized recommendation

    Get PDF
In this paper, by introducing a new user similarity index base on the diffusion process, we propose a modified collaborative filtering (MCF) algorithm, which has remarkably higher accuracy than the standard collaborative filtering. In the proposed algorithm, the degree correlation between users and objects is taken into account and embedded into the similarity index by a tunable parameter. The numerical simulation on a benchmark data set shows that the algorithmic accuracy of the MCF, measured by the average ranking score, is further improved by 18.19% in the optimal case. In addition, two significant criteria of algorithmic performance, diversity and popularity, are also taken into account. Numerical results show that the presented algorithm can provide more diverse and less popular recommendations, for example, when the recommendation list contains 10 objects, the diversity, measured by the hamming distance, is improved by 21.90%.Comment: 9 pages, 3 figure

    Get PDF
According to the essential characteristics and personnel training characteristics of entrepreneurial university, in accordance with the characteristics and objectives of curriculum, and combined with the latest theoretical research of entrepreneurship curriculums at home and abroad, this essay adopts literature data and logic analysis method to explore entrepreneurial universities on the real value of curriculum design. The results are that entrepreneurial universities in the curriculum design mainly treated social standard as the main, ignored the value of the individual, in addition, curriculums’ goal is single, as well as rigid in terms of creative personnel training. We should establish a wide range of educational values in Entrepreneurial universities’ curriculum reform: realizing effective integration between educational localization and educational internationalization; taking into account the main educational values; achieving an effective balance between scientific world and the world of life; focusing on the development of personality and building the harmonious development of human beings

    Get PDF
Online shopping has risen to the third position among Malaysians who use the Internet. Typically, past customer online reviews are deciding factors for an online business's success or failure because online consumers encounter online reviews while visiting a website, and it has a direct effect on their ability to purchase impulsively and online impulse buying conduct. The majority of previous research on market-generated context as a factor in online impulse buying behaviour has concentrated on the market-generated background. As a result, this research identified two types of online reviews as independent variables: hedonic and utilitarian value online reviews, browsing, and willingness to buy impulsively as mediating and moderating variables. While online impulse buying behaviour a dependent variable. This study only involves online shoppers who have made at least one purchase on both Lazada Malaysia and Shopee Malaysia websites. This study took a quantitative approach, with 100 responses collected from online shoppers who had made at least one purchase on Shopee Malaysia and Lazada Malaysia through an online questionnaire. Due to the deletion of one straight-lining response, 99 responses were subjected to data analysis using SmartPLS software. According to the results, hedonic value online reviews influence browsing, and browsing influences the urge to buy impulsively and directly to online impulse purchasing

Enhancement of reducing sugar production by A. niger USM AI1 on oil palm frond in tray system via solid state fermentation

    Get PDF
To obtain higher reducing sugar production via solid state fermentation (SSF), it is necessary to develop a stabile bioprocess system. In this study, optimized the physical parameter of SSF in a shallow aluminium tray (30 cm x 20 cm x 6 cm) was carried out  in order to maximize  reducing sugar production by A. niger USM AI1 using oil palm frond as a substrate.  Production of reducing sugars before optimization in tray system was 185.00 ± 2.85 mg / g substrate with the fungal growth of 2.32 mg ± 0.06 glucosamine / g substrate. However, after optimization of physical parameter (amount of substrate, inoculum size, temperature and moisture content in substrate) the maximum reducing sugar yield was achieved 251.13 ± 1.95 mg / g substrate with the fungus growth of 3.21 ± 0.10 mg glucosamine / g on the 4 days of cultivation period.  The results showed that the production of reducing sugar was increased by 35.7% compared to before optimization.   Thus, optimized the physical parameter of solid state fermentation in a tray system has succeeded in increasing the production of reducing sugars. To meet the increasing demands of reducing sugar from biomass, it is necessary to obtain the optimum condition in SSF proces

Design of a multicast router for network-on-chip architectures with irregular topologies

As chip complexity keeps increasing in system-on-chip (SoC), the on-chip interconnect has become a critical issue for large-scale chip design. It has been proposed that the packet-switched network exchanging messages between intellectual property (IP) cores is a viable solution for the SoC interconnect problem. The design of the router in such network-on-chip (NoC) architectures is the key to high-performance communication for the IP cores in SoC. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of a multicast router for NoC with irregular topologies. The router employs our previously proposed tree-based routing algorithm for irregular networks. Our experiment results show that the multicast router has a slightly lower clock rate and moderately larger chip area than the unicast router in NoC.Since multicasting is a technique providing superior network performance, especially for large networks, such multicast router design is an effective routing solution for large-scale network-on-chip architectures

VISUALIZING TOURISM TRANSLATION LITERATURE (2002-2023): A BIBLIOMETRIC REVIEW

    Get PDF
Background and Purpose: With the rapid development of tourism, language plays a significant role in influencing a tourist’s decisions when planning their trip, especially if they do not speak the language of the destination. Given the critical nature of information in the tourism industry, translating tourism materials for international tourists becomes essential. However, there has been limited bibliometric review on the issue. Thus, this bibliometric review aims to comprehend the existing literature and provide a visualized profile for various themes by analyzing hotspots, emerging trends, and the evolution of tourism translation studies.   Methodology: A bibliometric review was conducted using the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI). The review utilized CiteSpace software to generate a scientific knowledge map and visually analyzed 2764 research articles on tourism translation published in CNKI over the past 21 years (from 2002 to 2023). The analysis encompassed time, author, and institution mapping, keyword clustering, and the identification of emerging words.   Findings: The findings indicated that the study of tourism translation had sparked researchers’ enthusiasm, resulting in a general increase in the number of articles. Furthermore, various theoretical frameworks, including Skopos theory, Translation Aesthetics theory, and Adaptation theory, have been extensively analyzed in tourism texts. Although significant progress has been made in the exploration of translation strategies, there is still considerable room for advancement in terms of research methodology and perspective.   Contributions: This bibliometric review contributes to the advancement of knowledge in tourism translation, helps shape future research directions, and offers practical guidance for industry professionals, researchers, and policymakers involved in the tourism sector.   Keywords: Chinese-English translation, tourism translation, visual analysis, tourism materials, CiteSpace.   Cited as: Shang, X. Nuclear symmetry potential in the relativistic impulse approximation

    Get PDF
Using the relativistic impulse approximation with the Love-Franey \textsl{NN} scattering amplitude developed by Murdock and Horowitz, we investigate the low-energy (100 MeV≤Ekin≤400\leq E_{\mathrm{kin}}\leq 400 MeV) behavior of the nucleon Dirac optical potential, the Schr\"{o}dinger-equivalent potential, and the nuclear symmetry potential in isospin asymmetric nuclear matter. We find that the nuclear symmetry potential at fixed baryon density decreases with increasing nucleon energy. In particular, the nuclear symmetry potential at saturation density changes from positive to negative values at nucleon kinetic energy of about 200 MeV. Furthermore, the obtained energy and density dependence of the nuclear symmetry potential is consistent with those of the isospin- and momentum-dependent MDI interaction with x=0x=0, which has been found to describe reasonably both the isospin diffusion data from heavy-ion collisions and the empirical neutron-skin thickness of 208^{208} Pb.Comment: 8 pages, 5 figures, revised version to appear in PR

Accelerating Smith-Waterman Alignment for Protein Database Search Using Frequency Distance Filtration Scheme Based on CPU-GPU Collaborative System

    Get PDF
The Smith-Waterman (SW) algorithm has been widely utilized for searching biological sequence databases in bioinformatics. Recently, several works have adopted the graphic card with Graphic Processing Units (GPUs) and their associated CUDA model to enhance the performance of SW computations. However, these works mainly focused on the protein database search by using the intertask parallelization technique, and only using the GPU capability to do the SW computations one by one. Hence, in this paper, we will propose an efficient SW alignment method, called CUDA-SWfr, for the protein database search by using the intratask parallelization technique based on a CPU-GPU collaborative system. Before doing the SW computations on GPU, a procedure is applied on CPU by using the frequency distance filtration scheme (FDFS) to eliminate the unnecessary alignments. The experimental results indicate that CUDA-SWfr runs 9.6 times and 96 times faster than the CPU-based SW method without and with FDFS, respectively
