    Community archives' role in safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage

    Safeguarding intangible cultural heritage is an effort requiring the involvement of the cultural community. This study aimed to describe the role of community archives in safeguarding Silat Sutera Baja as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of DKI Jakarta Province. This study was qualitative research with a case study method. The research data were collected by conducting interviews and documentation studies from May 2023 to July 2023. The informants involved in this study were three people selected using a purposive sampling method. Informants were people involved in the process of the stipulation of Silat Sutera Baja as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Indonesia. They were members of the Silat Sutra Baja community and employees of the local cultural service. Research data analysis was carried out through data reduction by making interview transcripts and coding to answer research questions. The coding findings were then evaluated, interpreted, and confirmed using additional data sources to derive conclusions. Research results showed that community archives, referred to as archival activities, had a role in following the archive life cycle; they were creators, distributors, users, and maintainers. Whereas community archives as collected material played their role as memory and identity. These archives showed Silat Sutera Baja’s identity and their collective memory as part of the Silat Putera Betawi. Based on the results, people need to dissolve archives by converting print archives to digital format and using cloud-based repositories such as Google Drive so that they are not lost

    ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana perkembangan kepustakawanan Islam klasik dan bagaimana kontribusinya bagi perkembangan perpustakaan di masa sekarang. Metode yang di gunakan dalam pembuatan artikel ini adalah metode literatur dengan menggunakan beberapa sumber buku dan Jurnal-jurnal mengenai perkembangan perpustakaan pada islam klasik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pada masa kejayaan Islam, perpustakaan menjadi sarana belajar sehingga membuat umat Islam di masa itu mampu membangun sebuah peradaban besar dan bertahan hingga berabad-abad lamanya. Perkembangan perpustakaan ada dan muncul karena adanya kecintaan akan buku-buku dan ilmu pengetahuan oleh para raja-raja dan bangsawan serta kaum intelektual terdahulu. Dengan adanya kecintaan mereka terhadap ilmu pengetahuan maka muncullah namanya perpustakaan sebagai salah satu pusat pendidikan. Berdasarkan dimensi sejarahnya, kontribusi perpustakaan pada masa klasik terhadap perpustakaan yang berkembang dimasa sekarang tentunya memiliki kontribusi yang sangat besar dalam memajukan peradaban dunia di masa sekarang ini. Kontribusinya meliputi berbagai segi baik manusianya, koleksinya, maupun bentangan sejarahnya yang masih dipelajari hingga sekarang ini. Kata Kunci : Kepustakawanan Islam klasik, Perpustakaan masa sekarang     ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze how the development of classical Islamic librarianship and how it contributes to the development of libraries in the present. The method used in making this article is the method of literature using several sources of books and journals on the development of libraries in classical Islam. The results showed that during the heyday of Islam, the library became a learning tool so that the Muslims at that time were able to build a great civilization and survive for centuries. The development of the library exists and arises because of the love of books and science by the kings and aristocrats and former intellectuals. With their love of science, the name of the Library as a center of education emerged. Based on the historical dimension, the contribution of the library in the classical period to the library that developed in the present certainly has a very large contribution in advancing world civilization today.     Prophetic-Humanization Communication among Generation Z on COVID-19 Information

    For Generation Z, especially those who study librarianship in the digital age, e-literacy is essential. It refers to using a computer with information, media, moral literacy, and learning and thinking abilities. One of them is how they communicate COVID-19 information. Through the behavior of librarianship students from the seven State Islamic Universities in Indonesia, this study aims to measure the impact of e-literacy on prophetic-humanization communication among Generation Z. With a 9% error rate and a sample size of 116 pupils, stratified random sampling (proportional) was used to acquire the data. The findings strongly correlate information usage behavior, prophetic-humanization communication, and e-literacy. In addition, e-literacy impacts prophetic communication by changing how people use COVID-19 data. Only the level of learning and thinking abilities can fully demonstrate the good and significant impact of e-literacy skills through information behavior on humanization-prophetic communication. This study's relevance is that students should increase their e-literacy to communicate more prophetically and ethically using electronic media. &nbsp

    The Implementation of Covid-19 Archives Preservation in College

    Background of the study: Circular Letter No. 62 of 2020 concerning the Preservation of Covid-19 handling archives is a public policy that needs to be implemented by State Universities as part of government agencies. Purpose: This study aims to explore efforts to implement policies to preserve the records of Covid-19 handling at university and understand the challenges it faces as university that does not have its own Archive yet. Method: This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. There are three informants selected through the purposive sampling method. Informants were selected based on the following criteria: 1) has mandatory duties in archival activities and 2) positioned as an archivist. Research data obtained through interviews and documentation studies Findings: The university efforts in preserving Covid-19 handling archives are carrying out internal communication to preserve archives within the General, increasing archivists’ competencies and knowledge, and conducting from preparation to Covid-19 archives assessment. Related efforts in the organizational structure have not been made because this process takes a long time. The challenges arise from the lack of human resources in every unit of PTN X and the absence of an archival institution which makes it difficult to implement implementation in all units of university Conclusion: The university has made efforts to preserve the handling of Covid-19 within the smaller scope, the General Bureau. For a wider scope, the implementation has not been carried out due to lack of human resources and the absence of university Archive owned by university.     CURATION AND MANAGEMENT OF CULTURAL HERITAGE THROUGH LIBRARIES

    Libraries, museums and archives hold valuable collections in a variety of media, presenting a vast body of knowledge rooted in the history of human civilisation. These form the repository of the wisdom of great works by thinkers of past and the present. The holdings of these institutions are priceless heritage of the mankind as they preserve documents, ideas, and the oral and written records. To value the cultural heritage and to care for it as a treasure bequeathed to us by our ancestors is the major responsibility of libraries. The past records constitute a natural resource and are indispensable to the present generation as well as to the generations to come. Libraries preserve the documentary heritage resources for which they are primarily responsible. Any loss of such materials is simply irreplaceable. Therefore, preserving this intellectual, cultural heritage becomes not only the academic commitment but also the moral responsibility of the librarians/information scientists, who are in charge of these repositories. The high quality of the papers and the discussion represent the thinking and experience of experts in their particular fields. The contributed papers also relate to the methodology used in libraries in Asia to provide access to manuscripts and cultural heritage. The volume discusses best practices in Knowledge preservation and how to collaborate and preserve the culture. The book also deals with manuscript and archives issues in the digital era. The approach of this book is concise, comprehensively, covering all major aspects of preservation and conservation through libraries. The readership of the book is not just limited to library and information science professionals, but also for those involved in conservation, preservation, restoration or other related disciplines. The book will be useful for librarians, archivists and conservators.     An error analysis in making wh-questions: a case study of the second year students of SMP Islam Al-Syukro Universal

    The objective of the research is to see the types of error and to identify the cause of error made by the students in making wh-Questions. The subject of this study was consisted of 37 second year students of SMP Islam Al-Syukro Universal, Ciputat, Tangerang Selatan. The method used in this study was qualitative research in a form of descriptive analysis. The data was obtained from observation of teaching-learning activity and test which are given to the students. The test was consisted of 20 item numbers that are divided into 10 items of translating and 10 items of making whquestions. The test was conducted twice in the different time to identify the error. The result of this study showed that there were 268 errors made by the students. 60 errors or 22.4 % are omission of helping verb, 52 errors or 19.4 % are archi-form of helping verb, 55 errors or 20.5 % are archi-form of verb, 79 errors or 29.5 % are archi-form of question word, and 22 errors or 8.2 % are misordering of helping verb. Those errors are caused by interlingual transfer and intralingual transfer. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the ability of the students in making wh-questions was still low

    Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah pengelolaan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM), koleksi, pelayanan, dan luas ruangan perpustakaan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Percontohan yang diteliti telah sesuai dengan Buku Pedoman Penyelenggaraan Perpustakaan Sekolah yang dikeluarkan oleh Perpustakaaan Nasional RI. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Perpustakaan SDNP Komplek IKIP Rawamangun, SDNP Sunter Agung 12 Pagi, SDNP Pesanggrahan 10 Pagi, dan SDNP Kebon Jeruk 11 Pagi. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah melalui wawancara dan pengamatan peneliti secara langsung. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa pengelolaan perpustakaan SDNP komplek IKIP Rawamangun lebih banyak yang tidak sesuai dengan pedoman dalam pengelolaan SDM, pengelolaan lebih banyak yang sesuai dengan pedoman dalam hal koleksi dan pelayanan. Pengelolaan perpustakaan SDNP Sunter Agung 12 pagi lebih banyak yang tidak sesuai dalam pengelolaan SDM dan koleksi perpustakaan, pengelolaaan lebih banyak yang sesuai dengan pedoman dalam hal pelayanan. Pengelolaan perpustakaan SDNP Pesanggrahan 10 pagi lebih banyak yang tidak sesuai dengan pedoman dalam pengelolaan SDM dan koleksi perpustakaan, pengelolaan lebih banyak yang sesuai dengan pedoman dalam hal pelayanan perpustakaan. Pengelolaan perpustakaan SDNP Kebon Jeruk 11 Pagi lebih banyak yang tidak sesuai dengan pedoman dalam pengelolaan SDM, pengelolaan lebih banyak yang sesuai dalam hal koleksi dan pelayanan.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengelolaan arsip dinamis inaktif yang ada di Unit Kearsipan Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Objek kajian yang diteliti adalah proses pengelolaan arsip dinamis inaktif yang dilakukan oleh Unit Kearsipan Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam. Peneliti mengkaji terkait proses pengelolaan serta upaya yang dilakukan oleh Unit Kearsipan Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dalam menghadapi permasalahan dan hambatan pengelolaan arsip dinamis inaktif. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan informan penelitian, observasi dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian berjumlah tiga orang diantaranya kepala sekretariat FMIPA UI, Koordinator Unit Kearsipan FMIPA UI dan Staf petugas pengelolaan arsip dinamis inaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kegiatan pengelolaan arsip dinamis inaktif sudah berlangsung cukup baik meskipun dalam pelaksanaan nya masih belum sempurna karena memiliki beberapa hambatan dan permasalahan. Rangkaian proses pengelolaan yang belum terlaksana adalah proses penyerahan arsip dikarenakan untuk saat ini belum ada arsip yang memenuhi syarat untuk di serahkan ke lembaga kearsipan. Hambatan serta permasalahan yang ditemui selama proses pengelolaan kearsipan diantaranya terbatasnya ruang penyimpanan arsip, kurang nya staf pengelola arsip, pemindahan arsip dari unit kerja ke unit kearsipan masih terdapat non-arsip seperti blanko yang tercampur dengan arsip, SOP yang belum terlaksana dengan baik serta fasilitas temu kembali arsip dan alat bantu penunjang pengelolaan arsip yang kurang termanfaatkan dengan baik karena kurangnya sosialisasi dan pemahaman staf dalam penguasaan teknologi. Upaya yang dilakukan dalam menghadapi beberapa hambatan dan permasalahan tersebut antara lain melakukan pemusnahan arsip dengan segera,viimengajukan rekrutmen staf yang kompeten, melakukan pemberkasan arsip secara rutin, melakukan audit tahunan, menggunakan aplikasi kearsipan.x, 96 hlm, ilusi; 25 c

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini yang untuk mengetahui alasan mengapaaplikasi Sisumaker dipilih oleh Kementerian Hukum dan HakAsasi Manusia Republik Indonesia sebagai aplikasi pengelolapersuratan dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana koordinasi dalam tatakelola arsip dinamis di aplikasi Sisumaker Kementerian Hukumdan Hak Asasi Manusia Republik Indonesia. Jenis penelitian iniadalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik samplingyang digunakan untuk menentukan informan menggunakan tekniksampling purposif (Purposive sampling). Dengan teknikpengumpulan data adalah dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi.Prosedur analisis data dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah sebagaiberikut: reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan.Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan teori koordinasisebagai landasan teori penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkanbahwa pemilihan aplikasi Sisumaker telah memenuhi beberapafaktor yang perlu dipertimbangkan dalam memilih aplikasimanajemen arsip. Namun, ada beberapa faktor yang perludisempurnakan nanti ke depannya karena ini dapat mempengaruhikinerja dari aplikasi Sisumaker tersebut, di antaranya adalah fiturexport data yang belum tersedia dan fitur Web-Publishing yanghanya dapat dilihat oleh pejabat yang berkedudukan lebih tinggi.Dilihat dalam tata kelola arsip dinamis di Sisumaker melibatkankomponen koordinasi dalam setiap tahapannya yang terdiri daritahapan penciptaan dan penyimpanan, distribusi dan penggunaan,pemeliharaan dan disposisi. Komponen koordinasi yang terdapatdalam setiap tahapannya terdiri dari tujuan, jenis kegiatan, paraiiipelaku, dan ketergantungan sumber daya. Kesimpulan daripenelitian ini adalah aplikasi Sisumaker sudah dapatmengakomodir kegiatan manajemen persuratan di KemenkumhamRI.
