    PERAN GURU TPQ BAITUL IBADAH DALAM MEMBINA AKHLAK ANAK DI DESA BRAJA INDAH

    Abstract   This research is to find out the role of TPQ teachers in fostering children's morals, especially in Braja Indah village,  Braja Selebah district, East Lampung. Morals are a measure of one's faith. To achieve moral perfection, coaching is needed. The coaching is not only carried out by formal and informal institutions, but also non-formal institutions in the community, namely TPQ. This is where the role of the teacher lies, one of which is in the Al-Qur'an Education Park. TPQ teachers are educators from non-formal educational institutions who teach the ability to read and write the Qur'an as well as teach knowledge about worship, faith, and morals. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with empirical data from observations and interviews. That the role of the TPQ teacher is as 1) the role of the TPQ teacher as a role model/model for children, 2) the teacher familiarizes children with good character, 3) the teacher as a supervisor and 4) the teacher as a child advisor.   Keywords: The Role of TPQ Teachers, Children's Morals   ABSTRAK     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran guru TPQ dalam membina akhlak anak khususnya di desa Braja Indah Kecamatan Braja Selebah Lampung Timur. Akhlak menjadi tolak ukur keimanan seseorang. Untuk mencapai kesempurnaan akhlak, dibutuhkan adanya pembinaan. Dalam pembinaan tersebut tak hanya dilakukan oleh lembaga formal dan informal saja, melainkan juga lembaga non formal yang ada di lingkungan masyarakat, yakni TPQ. Disinilah letak peran guru salah satunya di Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an. Guru TPQ adalah tenaga pendidik dari lembaga pendidikan non formal yang mengajarkan kemampuan membaca dan menulis Al-Qur’an juga mengajarkan pengetahuan tentang ibadah, akidah, dan akhlak. Metode yang digunakan melalui kualitatif deskriptif, dengan data-data empiris observasi dan wawancara. Bahwa peran guru TPQ adalah sebagai 1) peran guru TPQ sebagai Tauladan contoh/model bagi anak, 2) Guru membiasakan anak berakhlakul karimah, 3) Guru sebagai pengawas dan 4) Guru sebagai penasehat anak.   Kata Kunci:  Peran Guru TPQ, Akhlak Ana

    INDONESIAN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS’ MINDSET ABOUT THE ROLES OF TALENT AND EFFORT IN EFL LEARNING

    Mindset plays a significant role in language learners' success. The present investigation examined the mindsets of Indonesian students with respect to their English language learning proficiency, specifically exploring whether such proficiency is attributable solely to innate talent or whether it requires individual effort. The primary objective of this study is to ascertain whether the mindset of individuals towards learning English is characterized by a growth orientation, which is influenced by effort, or a fixed orientation, which is influenced by talent. Additionally, the study seeks to explore the potential impact of this mindset on the motivation of individuals to study English. A sample of 150 university students from various academic disciplines was surveyed to gather data. The present investigation utilized a mindset survey, which was administered through the completion of a questionnaire and subjected to quantitative analysis. Based on the data, it can be inferred that students hold the belief that exerting effort is of greater significance than possessing innate talent when acquiring proficiency in the English language. This encompasses the capacity to endure critique and surmount obstacles and challenges. The present study characterizes the students’ attitude towards English as exhibiting a positive trend of progressing and developing, which is expected to yield enduring advantages for their English learning. They understand the significance of acquiring English proficiency for future employment opportunities and the diverse range of potential applications in their daily routines

    The presence of informal sector, particularly street vendors (PKL), is anunavoidable economic reality happening to nearly all regions in Indonesia thatneeds special attention. On one side, street vendors have brought problems relatedto urban planning, social, health domain and so forth. While on the other side,street vendors are highly needed by the community in terms of fulfilling their needsand reducing the government\u27s burden. If managed properly, street vendors areable to provide economic improvement and community welfare in a region. NgawiRegency is one region area inseparable from the presence of street vendors. Suchinformal sector has dominated centers of crowd in Ngawi Regency, includingNgawi Regional Square. Street vendors in Ngawi Regency also have also led tomany problems, such as disruption to the city\u27s immaculacy and congestion. Thisresearch is thereby aimed to more deeply examine the Informal Sector Governancein Ngawi Regency.The present research was conducted using combination method orcombining the qualitative and quantitative research with the use of observationdata, interview, documentation and questionnaire in order to explain the realsituation in details while using triangulation of data source, method and theory.Based on the research performed, the results obtained are: the conditionand presence of street vendors in Ngawi Regency are already in accordance withthe theory and concept of Informal Sector; and Ngawi Regency Government has apolicy plan to relocate street vendors. Legalistic approach employed to managestreet vendors is yet accurate, based on findings in the field. A combination ofempowerment, structuralist and legalistic approaches is recommended in themanagement of street vendors

    Penguatan Penyusunan Modul Projek Profil Pelajar Pancasila Pada Sekolah Penggerak Jenjang SMA

    Learning at the driving school requires the existence of project activities where the project aims to provide character strengthening for students with a Pancasila student profile. The project must be designed as creatively as possible in order to provide a very good experience for students so that it is necessary to strengthen the preparation of the Pancasila student profile project module. This service activity is carried out in three stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Preparation is carried out by providing materials as references and guidelines in the development of the Pancasila student profile project module. In addition, it also documents licensing and adjustments to the schedule for the implementation of service. In the second stage, service is carried out by providing school-level measurement instruments then delivering material and criticizing existing project modules. At the evaluation stage, it is done by reflecting on all participants on the activities that have been carried out. The results of the activity show that high school teachers can develop a Pancasila student profile project module and can conduct an assessment in accordance with the reference guidelines for strengthening the Pancasila student profile project

    ANTIFUNGAL Citrus hystrix EXTRACT AS NATURAL FOOD PRESERVATIVE

    During their storage, the traditional ready-to-eat food, such as sticky rice cake, are easily contaminated by spoilage pathogens. Hence, this study aims to evaluate the effect of Citrus hystrix extract in reducing spoilage pathogens in sticky rice cake during storage. The experimental sticky rice cake was prepared and formulated with Citrus hystrix extract at varied level of concentrations of 0.65%, 1.26% and 1.82% (w/w). Treated samples were stored at room temperature for 28 days and evaluated periodically for their microbial activity (total plate count), thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS), and sensory analysis. For its antifungal activity, the Citrus hystrix extract was also compared against Penicillium sp. and Aspergillus nidulans prior to formulation. Results exhibited a significant advantage of the added extracts to the sticky rice cake. All extract levels effectively eliminated the spoilage microorganism and significantly lowered the TBARS values. The physico-chemical properties of sticky rice cake including pH, water activity, and moisture content were equal among all the formulated samples and slightly different at 1.82% (w/w) extract level. Moreover, the addition of Citrus hystrix extract up to 1.82% did not affect the acceptability sensory attributes of the sticky rice cake as compared to the control which has no Citrus hystrix extracts (p > 0.05)

    Permasalahan sampah semakin rumit dengan meningkatnya taraf hidup masyarakat, yang tidak disertai dengan keselarasan pengetahuan dan juga partisipasi masyarakat yang kurang untuk memelihara kebersihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran promosi kesehatan terhadap perbaikan peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku membuang sampah pada siswa SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Quasi Eksperimen dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Posttest. Sampel sebanyak 61 responden. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji T test.Penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan pengetahuan (p=0,000), sikap (p=0,009) dan perilaku (0,000) siswa dalam membuang sampah pada tempatnya sebelum dan sesudah pemberian intervensi promosi kesehatan. Intervensi promosi kesehatan berpengaruh terhadap perbaikan pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku siswa dalam membuang sampah pada tempatnya. Perlu adanya kerjasama pihak sekolah dengan Puskesmas untuk melakukan promosi kesehatan secara kontinu

    Nutrition education using booklet media with and without counseling on parental knowledge, amount and frequency of consumption of vegetables and fruits of preschool children in urban areasBackground: Consumption of vegetables and fruit in preschool children in Indonesia is still less than recommended. Nutrition education through booklets and counseling media will clarify information and understanding of parents about the importance of consuming vegetables and fruit in preschool children, resulting in parental feeding behavior to increase the amount and frequency of consumption of vegetables and fruits in preschool children. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of nutrition education using booklet media with counseling and without counseling on parental knowledge, amount, and frequency of consumption of vegetables and fruits of preschool children in urban areas. Methods: This type of research was a quasi-experimental research design with pre and post-test with the control group. The selection of respondents used purposive sampling to select the sub-districts that had the percentage of excess nutrition in Yogyakarta, namely the Danurejan District, and simple random sampling to choose children and preschools (kindergarten). The number of respondents was 56 people consisting of 28 experimental and 28 controls from 4 kindergartens. Nutrition education in the experimental group gave booklets and counseling, once for 30-60 minutes and at each respondent's home. The control group was only assigned a booklet without counseling. The instruments used consisted of booklets, knowledge questionnaires, and SQ-FFQ. The statistical tests used were paired t-test, Wilcoxon, Mann Whitney, independent t-test, and Pearson. Results: This study showed increased parental knowledge before and after nutrition education in the experimental group (p<0.05). In addition, the amount and frequency of consumption of vegetables and fruits of preschool children in the experimental group increased between before and after being given nutrition education (p<0.05). Knowledge, amount, and frequency of consumption of vegetables and fruit also showed differences between the experimental and control groups (p<0.05). Conclusions: Nutrition education using booklets and counseling media affects parents' knowledge and the amount and frequency of consuming vegetables and fruit in preschool children compared to using only booklets without counseling

    This research aims to test and analyze the influence of Work Discipline, Internal Environment, and Employee Satisfaction on Employee Work Productivity. The research method used is quantitative. The nature of the research used is descriptive explanatory. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The total sample was 99 people. The data analysis method is multiple linear regression. The research results show that partially and simultaneously work discipline, internal environment and job satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on employee work productivity.     Kelayakan Usaha Serta Karakteristik Kimia dan Mikrobiologi Mangut Lele Kaleng

    Sebagian besar makanan tradisional di Indonesia memiliki masa simpan rendah, salah satunya mangut lele. Ikan lele yang dimasak dalam bumbu mangut ini merupakan makanan khas daerah Jawa yang banyak disukai masyarakat. Salah satu teknologi yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan masa simpan adalah dengan pengemasan menggunakan kemasan kaleng. Tahapan proses pengalengan meliputi preparasi bahan, pembuatan sayur mangut lele, pengisian dalam kaleng, penghampaan udara (80o C, 10 menit), penutupan kaleng, sterilisasi (121o C, 20 menit), pendinginan, dan karantina 14 hari. Analisa teknoekonomi telah dilakukan terhadap pengalengan mangut lele dengan kapasitas produksi sebesar 1000 kaleng/hari. Nilai Return of Investment (ROI) cukup tinggi, sehingga usaha produksi pengalengan mangut lele ini sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan.Proses pengalengan telah dilakukan terhadap produk mangut lele dengan nilai Fo/kecukupan panas sebesar 10,48 menit. Karakteristik kimia mangut lele kaleng meliputi kadar air 75,71%; kadar abu 2,30%; lemak 6,24%; protein 12,30%; dan karbohidrat 3,45%. Mangut lele kaleng mengandung 119 kalori per 100 gram produk. Pengujian mikrobiologi menunjukkan produk negatif dari kandungan salmonella, staphylococcus aureus, dan clostridium. Pengujian cemaran logam telah dilakukan dan hasilnya masih dibatas aman yaitu timbal (Pb) &lt;0,0007 mg/kg; tembaga (Cu) 0,0718 mg/kg; seng (Zn) 0,0022 mg/kg; timah (Sn) &lt;0,8 mg/kg; mercuri (Hg) &lt;0,0003 mg/kg; arsen (As) 0,029 mg/kg
