The Development of a Strategic Leadership Model for Teacher Instructional Competencies at the Private Higher Education Institutions in Mindanao, Philippines

The purpose of the study was to develop a strategic leadership model for teacher instructional competencies at the private higher education institutions in Mindanao, Philippines. To achieve the six objectives of the study, the researcher employed the exploratory mixed-method research design by collecting substantial qualitative data from sources such as books, journals, online sources, and an interview. While the quantitative research design by collecting data using the survey questionnaire. There were 229 teachers and seven school leaders from private higher education institutions in Mindanao, Philippines, who participated in the study.   Frequency counts, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, and Multiple Regression were used to analyze quantitative data, while a content (thematic) analysis used for qualitative data or interviews. The findings of the current strategic leadership practices of school leaders, as perceived by teachers are interpreted as high.  Teachers find the Instructional Practices of the school leaders as high, while school leaders revealed most of their strategic leadership practices focused on Human Resource Management Practice. The current instructional competencies, as perceived by teachers, are interpreted as high. Among the three themes, teachers find their Personal Competence as high. While school leaders give priority to the development of teachers' Professional Competence.  The seven factors affecting the strategic leadership practices of school leaders perceived by teachers as high. The top three factors include Organizational Culture, Organizational Values, and Leadership Competence. While, in the interview with school leaders, essential factors affecting strategic leadership practices include Resource Allocation, Teacher Satisfaction, and Teacher Commitment. A substantial positive relationship revealed between strategic leadership practices and teachers' instructional competencies of private higher education institutions. The researcher developed the strategic leadership model for teacher instructional competencies and validated by 12 experts. The model comprises of two major levels derived from the Multiple Regression test results as Leadership Competence with a p-value of 0.000 and Organizational Values with a p-value of 0.014 as significant factors.&nbsp

Prevalencia de caries dental y factores asociados en niños de la Institución Educativa de la Salle - Trujillo 2019

El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la prevalencia de caries dental y factores asociados en niños de la Institución Educativa De La Salle, Trujillo 2019. Es un estudio transversal, descriptivo, prospectivo, prolectivo y observacional. Se examinaron 73 niños de la Institución Educativa De La Salle entre las edades de 3 a 5 años de edad de ambos géneros. a través de un método no probabilístico por conveniencia. En los resultados se obtuvo un 40% de prevalencia de caries y factores asociados en niños, se observó un 30% de niños de sexo masculino con prevalencia de caries dental y un 10% de niños de sexo femenino con caries dental. El resultado según edad se obtuvo 7% en niños de 3 años, 17% en niños de 4 años y 16% en niños de 5 años de edad. Según su consumo de alimentos cariogénicos de acuerdo a sexo encontramos un 16% en niñas con alto riesgo y un 24% en niñas. Según consumo de alimentos cariogénicos de acuerdo a edad encontramos con alto riesgo un 7% en niños de 3 años, 16% en niños de 4 años y 17% en niños d 5 años de edad. Según índice de higiene oral de acuerdo a sexo, encontramos con mala higiene un 19% de prevalencia en niños y un 16% en niñas. Según índice de higiene oral de acuerdo edad, encontramos con mala higiene un 10% de niños de 3 años, 11% niños de 4 años y 13% niños de 5 años.The objective of this research work is to determine the prevalence of dental caries and associated factors in children of the De La Salle Educational Institution, Trujillo 2019. It is a cross-sectional, descriptive, prospective, prolective and observational study. 73 children of the Educational Institution De La Salle between the ages of 3 to 5 years of both genders were examined, through a non-probabilistic method for convenience. In a Federated System in which distributed, autonomous and heterogeneous information sources must be integrated, ontologies have emerged as tools to solve semantic heterogeneity problems. In this paper we propose a three-level approach that provides a semi-automatic method to ontology mapping. It performs some tasks automatically and guides the user in performing other tasks for which his/her intervention is required. Gestión institucional y desarrollo organizacional en las instituciones educativas del nivel inicial del distrito de Andahuaylas, Apurímac, 2019

El objetivo de la presente pesquisa es establecer el nivel de correlación que hay entre gestión institucional y desarrollo organizacional en las I.E del nivel inicial del distrito de Andahuaylas, Apurímac, 2019, El diseño es no experimental, método que se usó es cuantitativo, tipo básica y nivel correlacional, la población estuvo conformado por 60 profesores y la muestra de 52 profesores de las diferentes I.E del distrito de Andahuaylas del nivel inicial. Se aplicó dos instrumentos, para la primera variable que es la gestión institucional estaba constituido por 44 interrogantes, la segunda variable desarrollo organizacional poseía 33 ítems, para fiabilidad de instrumento se usó instrumentos aprobados por jueces expertos, con Alpha de Cronbach y estadístico de Tau-b de Kendall es de 0.711, con un nivel de significancia de p=0.000<0.05; 95% = 0,95. Se confirma que el nivel de asociatividad es significativa y alto entre gestión institucional y desarrollo organizacional
