    Temperature effects on the electrical performance of large area multicrystalline silicon solar cells using the current shunt measuring technique

    The temperature effects on the electrical performance of a large area multicrystalline silicon solar cell with back-contact technology have been studied in a desert area under ambient conditions using the current shunt measuring technique. Therefore, most of the problems encountered with traditional measuring techniques are avoided. The temperature dependency of the current shunt from 5ÂşC up to 50ÂşC has been investigated. Its temperature coefficient proves to be negligible which means that the temperature dependency of the solar cell is completely independent of the current shunt. The solar module installed in a tilted position at the optimum angle of the location, has been tested in two different seasons (winter and summer). The obtained solar cell short circuit current, open circuit voltage and output power are correlated with the measured incident radiation in both seasons and all results are discussed

    An improved design of a fully automated multiple output micropotentiometer

    This paper describes in details a new design of a fully automated multiple output micropotentiometer (?pot). A prototype has been built at the National Institute for Standards (NIS), Egypt to establish this highly improved AC voltage source in the millivolt range. The new device offers three different outputs covering a wide frequency range from only one outlet. This valuably supports the precise sourcing ranges of low AC voltage at NIS. The design and the operation theory of this prototype have been discussed in details. An automatic calibration technique has been introduced through specially designed software using the LabVIEW program to enhance the calibration technique and to reduce the uncertainty contributions. Relative small AC-DC differences of our prototype in the three output ranges are fairly verified. The expanded uncertainties of the calibration results for the three output ranges have been faithfully estimated. However, further work is needed to achieve the optimum performance of this new device

    In this paper, a new technique using a Current Shunt and a Micropotentiometer has been used to study the electrical performance of a large area multicrystalline silicon solar cell at outdoor conditions. The electrical performance is mainly described by measuring both cell short circuit current and open circuit voltage. The measurements of this cell by using multimeters suffer from some problems because the cell has high current intensity with low output voltage. So, the solar cell short circuit current values are obtained by measuring the voltage developed across a known resistance Current Shunt. Samples of the obtained current values are accurately calibrated by using a Micropotentiometer (ÎĽpot) thermal element (TE) to validate this new measuring technique. Moreover, the solar cell open circuit voltage has been measured. Besides, the cell output power has been calculated and can be correlated with the measured incident radiation

    Pemanfaatan pengguna internet yang dilansir dari halaman website liputan 6 bahwa Asosiasi Penyelenggara Jasa Internet Indonesia (APJII) telah menggelar survei mengenai penetrasi dan perilaku pengguna internet Indonesia ditahun 2018, diketahui bahwa jumlah pengguna internet di Indonesia sudah  mencapai 143,26 juta dari total populasi penduduk Indonesia yang berjumlah 262 juta jiwa. Berdasarkan survei tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa hampir 50% dari jumlah populasi penduduk Indonesia aktif menggunkan internet yang sudah tentu diakses menggunakan smartphone ataupun personal komputer. Jika dibandingkan dengan survei yang dilakukan Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kemkominfo) menunjukan bahwa pengguna teknologi pada tahun 2018 mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan, bahkan studi yang didanai oleh UNICEF yang dilaksanakan oleh Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kemkominfo) menemukan bahwa 98 persen dari anak-anak dan remaja tahu tentang internet dan 79,5 persen diantaranya adalah pengguna internet. Dengan hasil survei tersebut yang menjadi konsentrasi adalah penggunaan internet yang dilakukan anak-anak terfokus pada begitu banyak game-game online yang bertebaran di internet, namun dari game-game yang tersebar di internet, sangat jarang ditemukan game bergenre kearah pendidikan. Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu Anak Sholeh Mandiri adalah salah satu sekolah swasta  yang menerapkan pendekatan penyelenggaraan dengan memadukan pendidikan umum dan pendidikan agama menjadi satu jalinan kurikulum. Game edukasi ialah salah satu jenis game yang didalamnya berisi tentang materi-materi pembelajaran. Bentuknya beragam mulai dari bentuk puzzle, quis, TTS, tebak gambar dan sebagainya.     Desa Meranjat III, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir dikenal sebagai desa produksi kerupuk kemplang. Bahkan, beberapa warganya sudah menjajaki sebagai pelaku Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM). Potensi inilah yang seharusnya mulai digagas untuk lebih dikenal lagi terrutam dalam pemasarannya. Oleh karena itu, prinsip branding bagi sutau suatu usaha sebenarnya dapat diterapkkan sebagai upaya membangun karakter dan memberikan nilai tambah secara ekonomi bagi suatu desa melalui pengembangan potensi dan nilai lokal merupakan kebutuhan pemasaran desa. Namun, proses perencanaan juga perlu didukung oleh pemangku kepenitngan lainnya, seperti perguruan tinggi. Demikian pula dalam hal penjualan yang selama ini dilakukan hanya mengandalkan produk yang sudah ada. Selain itu, permasalahan mitra dalam kegiatan ini masih belum melabeli kemasan produk dengan nama maupun logo. Karena itu, dalam upaya peningkatan ciri khas produk, metode pelaksanaan yang dirancang, yaitu sosialisasi, inisiasi inovasi produk, penciptaan nama dan logo pada label kemasan serta publikasi. Kemasan dan label yang masih sederhana, bahkan belum ada dan kurang menarik menyebabkan produk ini hanya ada di pasar tradisional. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan label pada kemasan sudah ada dan kegiatann dapat ditindakalnjuti sebagai bagian dari branding Desa Meranjat III melalui produk khasnya, yaitu kemplang

    Qur'anic Narratives of Women's Competencies and The Consequences of Islamic Law on Their Involvement in Society

    Many people continue to believe that the Islamic Law perspective of women differs from men, which tends to be based on subordinate doctrines. However, in the al-Qur'an, divine revelation proclaims that women also have Competencies which is demonstrated by various forms of narration in the language style of the Qur'an along with their prowess in the public sector based on social reality. This paper discusses the main problem, namely the competence of women in the Qur'an from the perspective of Islamic law and their work in society. This research uses a qualitative research type with the method of text analysis of the verses of the Qur'an with an interpretive science approach, as well as analysis of field data regarding the role of women in various sectors of life from the perspective of Islamic law. Data was collected through a literature study and in-depth interviews with several informants in various regions of Indonesia. The research concluded that women's competence is mentioned in the narration of the Qur’an with uslub and various language styles, showing that women have superiority and toughness according to their nature and identity. They act with the capital of intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence as well as physical and psychological strength. Furthermore, women's involvement in the public sector provides clear evidence of women's abilities relevant to the verses of the Qur’an and refutes subordinate perspectives of them. Mendeley adalah suatu aplikasi berbasis komputer dan berbasis web yang dibuat dan dikembangkan oleh Elsevier untuk mengelola dan berbagi publikasi makalah,  penelitian, mencari data penelitian, dan berkolaborasi secara online. Mendeley mempunyai aplikasi yang berbasis Mendeley Desktop, PDF, dan webi, ada juga yang berbasis mobile  dengan Mendeley Android dan iOS. Mendeley bisa menjadi suatu acuan  database referensi, file referensi seperti buku atau artikel dari jurnal dalam file yang mempunyai format PDF yang dapat disimpan.     Prognostic value of FOXP3 and TGF-b expression in both peripheral blood and lymph nodes in patients with B-Non Hodgkin’s lymphoma

    Foxp3 has been studied as a biomarker of Treg cells in many solid malignant diseases, although its role as an immunomodulator in B-NHL remain poorly understood and the effect of traditional chemotherapy on its expression remains unclear. In this study the role of circulating and intra-tumoral Treg and TGF-b in patients with B-NHL before and after chemotherapy was evaluated. Enumeration of Treg cells was carried out by flow cytometric staining of their cell surface markers CD4 and CD25 as well as by molecular analysis of its signature transcription factor FoxP3. Expression of FoxP3 was done using quantitative real-time PCR while TGF-b mRNA expression was semi-quantitatively assayed by the conventional reverse transcription-PCR. In addition, spontaneous versus mitogen-induced release of TGF-b by PBMCs was assessed by a short term cell culture followed by ELISA. This was done before and after six cycles of CHOP chemotherapy. The results were evaluated in relation to the clinicopathological data.A significant increase in mRNA transcripts of both Fox P3 and TGF-b as well as the percentage of CD4+/CD25+ in B-NHL patients before receiving the chemotherapy were recorded, when compared either to healthy controls or to patients after completion the treatment regimen. Interestingly 6 cycles of CHOP treatment caused significant reduction in all parameters under study, relative to the situation before treatment. A significant enhancement in spontaneous TGF-b release in B-NHL patient either before or after chemotherapy was obtained. These results strongly confirm the possible involvement of Treg cells and TGF-b in orienting the clinical course of the disease as well as the ability of targeting them in immunotherapeutic approaches. KEYWORDS FOXP3; TGF; Non Hodgkin’s lymphoma; NH

    Apocynin prevented inflammation and oxidative stress in carbon tetrachloride induced hepatic dysfunction in rats

    Background: Liver fibrosis is a leading pathway to cirrhosis and a global clinical issue. Oxidative stress mediated tissue damage is one of the prime causes of hepatic dysfunction and fibrosis. Apocynin is one of many strong antioxidants. Objective: To evaluate the effect of apocynin in the CCl4 administered hepatic dysfunction in rats. Methods: Female Long Evans rats were administered with CCl4 orally (1 mL/kg) twice a week for 2 weeks and were treated with apocynin (100 mg/kg). Both plasma and liver tissues were analyzed for alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alkaline phosphatase activities. Oxidative stress parameters were also measured by determining malondialdehyde (MDA), nitric oxide (NO), myeloperoxidase (MPO), advanced protein oxidation product (APOP). In addition, antioxidant enzyme activities such as superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase activities in plasma and liver tissues were analyzed. Moreover, inflammation and tissue fibrosis were confirmed by histological staining of liver tissue sections. Results: Apocynin significantly reduced serum AST, ALT, and ALP activities in carbon tetrachloride treated rats. It also exhibited a considerable reduction of the oxidative stress markers (MDA, MPO, NO, and APOP level) which was elevated due to CCl4 administration in rats. Apocynin treatment also restored the catalase and superoxide dismutase activity in CCl4 treated rats. Histological analysis of liver sections revealed that apocynin prevented inflammatory cells infiltration and fibrosis in CCl4 administered rats. Conclusion: These results suggest that apocynin protects liver damage induced by CCl4 by inhibiting lipid peroxidation and stimulating the cellular antioxidant system
