    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Kompetensi terhadap Kinerja karyawan administrasi perkantoran rumah sakit RK Charitas Palembang Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan rumah sakit RK Charitas Palembang, yang terdiri dari tenaga medis dan non medis. Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode sensus, yaitu sebanyak 155 orang karyawan administrasi perkantoran. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan program SPSS ver. 20. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kompetensi tidak berpengaruh terhadap Kinerja karyawan administrasi perkantoran rumah sakit RK Charitas Palemban

    The Effect of Cultural Values on Business Strategy Choices

    The strategy is important in the effort to achieve firm performance. The decision of an entrepreneur in determining the choice of strategy is often influenced by certain factors. Ethnic cultural values embraced by an entrepreneur will often be an important issue that will have an impact on the choice of their business strategy. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effect of cultural values on business strategy choices. The study was conducted using quantitative methods using primary data through a survey on micro, small and medium business entrepreneurs in Palembang city. A total of 150 questionnaires were distributed to entrepreneurs. The number of questionnaires used in this study was 107 (71%). Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis using Warp PLS version 5.0 software is used to test the hypothesis. The results of the study indicate that the cultural values embraced by entrepreneurs influence the choice of business strategies that they implement

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh financial distress, opini audit, reputasi auditor, dan pertumbuhan Perusahaan terhadap pergantian Kantor Akuntan Publik. Penelitian ini menggunakan data berupa data sekunder yang diperoleh dari Kantor Perwakilan Bursa Efek Indonesia di Surabaya. Sampel yang digunakan adalah Perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di BEI tahun 2008-2012. Jumlah Perusahaan dalam penelitian ini adalah 40 Perusahaan dengan tahun pengamatan selama 5 tahun. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling method. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan adalah uji regresi logistik dengan menggunakan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa financial distress, opini audit, dan reputasi auditor berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pergantian Kantor Akuntan Publik

    Analisis Nilai Tambah Se'i Babi di KPTT Salatiga

    Usaha peternakan babi di KPTT dimulai pada 2017, dengan pembaruan yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas daging mentah. Meskipun berhasil mencapai kelimpahan daging, tantangan muncul karena kurangnya minat pada daging babi mentah, mengakibatkan kesulitan penjualan. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya pengolahan menjadi produk olahan untuk menambah nilai. Penjualan se'i babi masih dilakukan secara online, dan proses produksi menggunakan alat sederhana, mempengaruhi produksi se'i babi. Untuk mengembangkan usaha, analisis SWOT diperlukan untuk mengidentifikasi hal-hal yang perlu dikembangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan strategi pengembangan usaha se'i babi di KPTT Salatiga dan menilai nilai tambah dari daging babi mentah menjadi se'i babi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai tambah se'i babi sebesar Rp 55.300 per kilogram, dengan rasio nilai tambah 34%. Strategi pengembangan melibatkan kolaborasi inovatif produsen makanan, pemasaran lokasi strategis, dan kebersihan lingkungan untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan konsumen. The pig farming business in KPTT started in 2017, with renovations carried out to increase the productivity of raw meat. Despite the success of achieving an abundance of meat, challenges arose due to the lack of interest in raw pork, resulting in sales difficulties. Therefore, there is a need for processing into processed products to add value. The sale of piglets is still done online, and the production process using simple tools affects the production of piglets. To develop a business, SWOT analysis is needed to identify things that need to be developed. The purpose of this research is to determine the strategy for the development of pig meat in KPTT Salatiga and to evaluate the added value of raw pork meat into pig meat.     A Non-GPS Based Location Tracking of Public Buses using Bluetooth Proximity Beacons

    Tracking of public bus location requires a GPS device to be installed, and many bus operators in developing countries do not have such a solution in place to provide an accurate estimation of bus arrival time (ETA). Without ETA information, it is very difficult for the general public to plan their journey effectively. This paper proposes an innovative IoT solution to track the location of buses without requiring the deployment of a GPS device. It uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) proximity beacon to track the journey of a bus by deploying an Estimote location beacon on the bus. BLE detection devices (Raspberry Pi 3) are installed at selected bus stops along the bus route to detect the arrival of buses. Once detected, the location of the bus is submitted to a cloud server to compute the bus ETAs. A field trial is currently being conducted in Johor, Malaysia in collaboration with a local bus operator on one single bus route. Our test results showed that the detection of BLE beacons is very accurate and it is feasible to track the location of buses without using a GPS device in a cost effective way. A mobile app - myBusz has been developed as well to allow for passengers to check the bus ETA in real-time

    Jalan menuju Masjid Al-Hikmah merupakan sebuah jalan yang terletak di Desa Sukagalih, Kecamatan Jonggol Jawa Barat. Selain dipergunakan untuk penerangan rumah ibadah juga digunakan untuk penerangan jalan sekitar, Masjid Al-Hikmah juga digunakan untuk tempat bermusyawarah warga Desa Sukagalih dan tempat siwa belajar Iqra.  Kondisi penerangan jalan menuju mesjid pada malam hari sangat gelap dan membahayakan bagi masyarakat yang akan melakukan salat di masjid apalagi pada malam hari dan kondisi hujan lokasi gelap tidak ada penerangan menuju masjid. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah mempermudah masyarakat sekitar tempat ibadah terutama penerangan menuju mesjid. Selain itu juga dilaksanakan sosialisasi mengenai perawatan penggunaaan listrik dan perawatan peralatan elektronik di dalam masjid maupun penggunaan listrik warga. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah terlaksanannya penerangan jalan menuju masjid maupun sekitar masjid dan peningkatan pemahaman warga dalam menjaga fasilitas penerangan umum termasuk penerangan jalan

    Yanagi: Transcript Segment Library Construction for RNA-Seq Quantification

    Analysis of differential alternative splicing from RNA-seq data is complicated by the fact that many RNA-seq reads map to multiple transcripts, and that annotated transcripts from a given gene are often a small subset of many possible complete transcripts for that gene. Here we describe Yanagi, a tool which segments a transcriptome into disjoint regions to create a segments library from a complete transcriptome annotation that preserves all of its consecutive regions of a given length L while distinguishing annotated alternative splicing events in the transcriptome. In this paper, we formalize this concept of transcriptome segmentation and propose an efficient algorithm for generating segment libraries based on a length parameter dependent on specific RNA-Seq library construction. The resulting segment sequences can be used with pseudo-alignment tools to quantify expression at the segment level. We characterize the segment libraries for the reference transcriptomes of Drosophila melanogaster and Homo sapiens. Finally, we demonstrate the utility of quantification using a segment library based on an analysis of differential exon skipping in Drosophila melanogaster and Homo sapiens. The notion of transcript segmentation as introduced here and implemented in Yanagi will open the door for the application of lightweight, ultra-fast pseudo-alignment algorithms in a wide variety of analyses of transcription variation

    Perilaku Investor Atas Informasi Negatif Dalam Suatu Industri

    This study aims to examine empirically the investment behavior of investors over the announcement of financial distress of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The testing period in this study was 2005-2016. The behavior of investors in competing companies (non-delist) in the industry (known as intra-industry information transfer) can be seen from abnormal return patterns that occur in competitors' shares around the delist announcement day. Contagion effect occurs in competing companies in one industry that get negative reactions from investors while competitive effects occur in competing companies that get a positive reaction from investors over the delist announcement of other company. This study uses leverage and market capitalization of competing companies to explain the contagion and competitive effects. Sampling in this study uses a purposive sampling approach. Data analysis techniques in this study use one sample t-test. The number of samples in this study were 22 delist companies and 132 non-delist companies. This study showed that there was an intra-industry information transfer. Competitive effect occurs at t-3 and t+2 arround the delist announcement day. Specifically, market capitalization and leverage of non-delist can not explain the direction of intra-industry information transfe

    Applications of Graph Segmentation Algorithms For Quantitative Genomic Analyses

    There is a growing interest in utilizing graph formulations and graph-based algorithms in different subproblems of genomic analysis. Since graphs provide a natural and efficient representation of sequences of data where some structural relationships are observed within the data, we study some graph applications in quantitative analysis of typical RNA-seq and Whole Genome Sequencing pipelines. Analysis of differential alternative splicing from RNA-seq data is complicated by the fact that many RNA-seq reads map to multiple transcripts, besides, the annotated transcripts are often a small subset of the possible transcripts of a gene. This work describes Yanagi, a tool for segmenting transcriptomes to create a library of maximal L-disjoint segments from a complete transcriptome annotation. That segment library preserves transcriptome substrings and structural relationships between transcripts while eliminating unnecessary sequence duplications. First, we formalize the concept of transcriptome segmentation and propose an efficient algorithm for generating segment libraries. The resulting segment sequences can be used with pseudo-alignment tools to quantify gene expression and alternative splicing at the segment level and provide gene-level visualization of the segments for more interpretability. The notion of transcript segmentation as introduced here and implemented in Yanagi opens the door for the application of lightweight, ultra-fast pseudo-alignment algorithms in a wide variety of RNA-seq analyses. Furthermore, we show how transcriptome quantification can be performed from segment-level statistics. We present an EM algorithm that uses segment counts as features to estimate transcripts relative abundances in a way that maximizes the likelihood of the observed sequenced data. Then we tackle the problem of quantification in an incomplete annotation setting. We propose an assembly-free correction procedure that reduces bias in the estimated abundances of the annotated transcripts caused by the presence of unannotated transcripts in an RNA-seq sample, while avoiding the need to assemble the missing transcripts first. Another use case of our graph segmentation approach is representing population reference genome graphs used in Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS), which can be crucial for some genomic analysis studying highly polymorphic genes like HLA. Usually graph-based aligners are slow and computationally demanding. Using segments empowers any linear aligner with the efficient graph representation of population variations, while avoiding the expensive computational overhead of aligning over graphs. Lastly, we explore the use of Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) for imputing the sparse and noisy expression data obtained in single cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) experiments. scRNA-seq provides a rich view into the heterogeneity underlying a cell population which is usually lost when performing bulk RNA-seq. However, these datasets are usually noisy and very sparse, and a number of methods have been proposed to impute zeros in these datasets with the goal of improving downstream analysis. In this work, we propose an approach, scGAIN, to impute zero counts of dropout genes in single cell data using Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) by learning an approximation of the data distribution. The work presented here discusses an approach to adopt GAIN, a GAN model developed to impute data in image data, into the domain of imputing single cell data. Experiments show that scGAIN gives competitive results compared to the state-of-the-art imputation approaches while showing superiority in various aspects in simulation and real data. Imputation by scGAIN successfully recovers the underlying clustering of cell sub-populations, provides sharp estimates around true mean expression, reducing variability in the data, and increases the correspondence with matched bulk RNA-seq experiments

    This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment and the ability to motivate either simultaneously or partially. Furthermore, to analyze the influence of ability, work environment, the motivation of the Pacific Islands University lecturer performance. The size of the sample set is 95 of the total 123 lecturers University of the Pacific Islands. Instrument research using questionnaires, which are arranged in a scale of 1-5, a score of 1 to a very poor response and a score of 5 for the excellent responses. The method of analysis using path analysis model of trimming (path analysis). Hypothesis testing using the F test (simultaneous) and t-test (partial). The research concludes that there is a significant effect of variable abilities, motivational work environment against either simultaneously or partial, and there is a significant effect of variable abilities, work environment, motivation on the performance of both simultaneously and partial the views of the coefficient of determination of 81.1 percent
