Visualization for Equity Analysts: Using the DSM in Stock Picking
We use the Design Study Methodology in a short term project to apply visualization to equity analysis with a major supplier of information to the finance industry. Our interactive prototype is positively received and our work suggests that this kind of design and the application of the DSM to short term visualization projects have potential in stock picking and more broadly in financial analysis

Speech Adaptation of Personality as Focus of Psycho-linguistic Research
The structural and functional peculiarities of speech adaptation from perspective of levels of modern psycholinguistic methodology are considered in the article. The main structural components of speech adaptation are represented by cognitive phenomenological and linguistic structures. The main functions include integrative, reflective, regulative and instrumental impacts on personality lifeactivity. The results of experimental research show the increasing of volitional control, cognitive structures and functions of bilinguals as criteria of their effective speech adaptation
How Evolutionary Visual Software Analytics Supports Knowledge Discovery
[EN] Evolutionary visual software analytics is a specialization of visual analytics. It is aimed at supporting software maintenance processes by aiding the understanding and
comprehension of software evolution with the active participation of users. Therefore, it
deals with the analysis of software projects that have been under development and maintenance for several years and which are usually formed by thousands of software artifacts, which are also associated to logs from communications, defect-tracking and software configuration management systems. Accordingly, evolutionary visual software analytics aims to assist software developers and software project managers by means of an
integral approach that takes into account knowledge extraction techniques as well as
visual representations that make use of interaction techniques and linked views. Consequently, this paper discusses the implementation of an architecture based on the evolutionary visual software analytics process and how it supports knowledge discovery during software maintenance tasks.[ES] Analítica de software visual evolutivos es una especialización de la analítica visual. Biogasoline Production from Methyl EsterBiogasoline Production from Methyl Ester with Sulfuric Acid Catalyst
According to the achievement of automotive technology recently, the consumption of fuel oil such
as gasoline, kerosene and diesel oil, significantly increase. This phenomenon motivates a study
for investigating alternative fuels instead of petroleum oil-based energy. One of these alternative
fuels is biogasoline as results of cracking methyl ester as renewable energy sources.
In this study biogasoline produced by cracking of methyl ester. The cracking was
performed using sulfuric acid catalyst (H2SO4). Reactant on various ratio (by volume) with the
catalyst of 150:1, 125:1, 100:1, 75:1, 50:1, and without catalyst, injected into plug flow reactor
(PFR) by spraying it. Initial condition of the feed was the liquid phase at the pressure of 1 atm
and the temperature of 30 oC. The reactant was conducted using high-pressure pump, therefor
passed into a nozzle inside of the reactor, so that the mist conditions was achieved. The reactant
in the mist form flowed into the reactor with operating temperature in the reactor varied between
300 oC to 700 oC at atmospheric pressure, causing the cracking process. The products was passed
through water coolant then stored in liquid phase. Furthermore, the analysis carried out included
ASTM distillation, density, and gas chromatography (GC).
Based on data of experimental results it can be concluded that biogasoline can be
produced from methyl ester with relatively good condition at the reaction temperature of 400 oC
and methyl ester-catalyst ratio of 150:1. The biogasoline product has density 0.855 g/ml and the
yield ranges from 10% to 15%. The further effort is to increase the yield of biogasoline product.
