Relationship between Behavior and Work Accident in Rice Farmers using Pesticides in Oebobo Village, Batu Putih District
Work accident cases are a health problem in many parts of the world, including in the East Nusa Tenggara region. This study aims to analyze the relationship between behavior and work accidents among rice farmers who use pesticides in Oebobo village, Batu Putih district. This type of research uses an analytic survey with a cross-sectional design. The study's results were analyzed statistically using the chi-square test showing the relationship between knowledge and work accidents obtained a score (p-value) of 0.023, and the relationship between attitudes and work accidents got a score (p-value) of 0.044. The relationship between action and work accidents, a score (p-value) of 0.030 was obtained so that statistically, there was a relationship between behavior and work accidents on pesticide-using rice in Oebobo Village, Batu Putih District. This research contributes to knowing the causes of work accidents among farmers who use pesticides, namely lack of knowledge, attitudes that do not want to use personal protective equipment, and unsafe actions at work. The use of PPE by rice farmers is still deficient. The majority of farmers generally still feel indifferent about this. The findings obtained in this study indicate that knowledge, attitudes, and actions are related to work accidents among rice farmers who use pesticides in Oebobo Village, Batu Putih District. In the future, there needs to be more intense outreach by either village assistants or other related parties in order to increase the knowledge and understanding of the farmers in the village, as well as prevent work accidents in the future

Science to Solutions: Conifer Removal Boosts Sage Grouse Success
In recent years the Sage Grouse Initiative, led by the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service, has worked with many partners to accelerate the mechanical removal of invading conifer trees, primarily junipers, to restore sagebrush habitats in and around sage grouse strongholds across the West. Replicated studies from public and private land in southern Oregon and northwest Utah are the first to document sage grouse response to this type of landscape-level habitat restoration effort. Despite conventional wisdom that female sage grouse use the same nesting areas every year, space-starved hens in Oregon were quick to use restored habitats made available by conifer removal: within four years, 29% of the tracked sage grouse were nesting within and near restored habitats. In Utah, 86% of hens avoided conifer invaded habitats, and those using restored habitats were more likely to raise a brood. Taken together, studies show that landscape-level conifer removal can effectively increase habitat availability and boost success for nesting and brooding sage grouse
Science to Solutions: Reducing Cultivation of Grazing Lands Conserves Sage Grouse
In the northeast part of sage grouse range, 70% of the best habitat is privately owned – and the single greatest threat in this region is cultivation of native sagebrush grazing lands. Scientists assessed lands in eastern Montana, the western Dakotas, and northeast Wyoming to evaluate potential impacts to sage grouse if more land is converted from sagebrush to crops. They found that 96% of active leks today are surrounded by less than 15% cropland, and that a 50% increase in cultivation would decrease the region’s populations by 5%. Scientists then found solutions by evaluating the roles of state and federal policies as well as conservation easements to mitigate risk to sage grouse. Together, the Sodsaver policy in the 2014 Farm Bill, proposed policies on state lands, and a $146 million easement investment can reduce by 87% the bird losses that would have occurred without these conservation measures in place. Maps resulting from this science are now helping partners maximize their return on investment by placing easements in landscapes where they help grouse the most
Edukasi Kesehatan Sebagai Upaya Cegah Penyakit Infeksi Pada Anak
Worms are one of the most common infectious diseases in children. Worm disease is transmitted through food, especially food that has been contaminated with worm eggs. The community service activities are aimed at increasing the knowledge and understanding of school children, as part of an effort to prevent and reduce the prevalence of intestinal worms in children. The service activity begins with distributing pre-test sheets to be filled in by students, this is done to determine the level of students' initial knowledge and understanding of the material to be delivered. Health education efforts are carried out by providing counseling to students regarding clean and healthy lifestyles as well as intestinal worms and prevention efforts. After the counseling was carried out, the team then carried out a post test, to measure students' understanding regarding the material for a clean and healthy lifestyle and intestinal worms. The results of the post test conducted showed an increase in students' knowledge
The Australian public's preferences for emergency care alternatives and the influence of the presenting context: a discrete choice experiment
Objectives The current study seeks to quantify the Australian public's preferences for emergency care alternatives and determine if preferences differ depending on presenting circumstances. Setting Increasing presentations to emergency departments have led to overcrowding, long waiting times and suboptimal health system performance. Accordingly, new service models involving the provision of care in alternative settings and delivered by other practitioners continue to be developed. Participants A stratified sample of Australian adults (n=1838), 1382 from Queensland and 456 from South Australia, completed the survey. This included 951 females and 887 males from the 2045 people who met the screening criteria out of the 4354 people who accepted the survey invitation. Interventions A discrete choice experiment was used to elicit preferences in the context of one of four hypothetical scenarios: a possible concussion, a rash/asthma-related problem involving oneself or one's child and an anxiety-related presentation. Mixed logit regression was used to analyse the dependent variable choice and identify the relative importance of care attributes and the propensity to access care in each context. Results Results indicated a preference for treatment by an emergency physician in hospital for possible concussion and treatment by a doctor in ambulatory settings for rash/asthma-related and anxiety-related problems. Participants were consistently willing to wait longer before making trade-offs in the context of the rash/asthma-related scenario compared with when the same problem affected their child. Results suggest a clear preference for lower costs, shorter wait times and strong emphasis on quality care; however, significant preference heterogeneity was observed. Conclusions This study has increased awareness that the public's emergency care choices will differ depending on the presenting context. It has further demonstrated the importance of service quality as a determinant of healthcare choices. The findings have also provided insights into the Australian public's reactions to emergency care reforms
Timelining Knowledge Graphs in the Browser
International audienceKnowledge graphs, available on the Web via SPARQL endpoints, provide practitioners with various kinds of information from general considerations to more specific ones such as temporal data. In this article, we propose a lightweight solution to visually grasp, navigate and compare, in a Web browser, temporal information available from SPARQL endpoints. Furthermore, we use Wikidata's public SPARQL endpoint to demonstrate our solution and allow users to navigate Wikidata's temporal information
