Educators! : physically challenged students want to have fun

    Get PDF
This project focuses on bringing awareness among educators on the issues concerning schooling elementary (k- 5) students with physical disabilities. This is achieved through the creation of a friendly workshop, where educators are presented with information on understanding their students\u27 unique needs and how to help them succeed inside the classroom. The workshop contains five different components: a presentation, informative video, instructional activities, and discussions, along with two surveys. Furthermore, each aspect of the workshop inserts other educators\u27 opinions throughout the entire presentation. In other words, educators are able to learn from each other rather than just listening to the information on the presentation

The ( Horvacute{a}th\u27s) (mathscr{S}_k^{prime}) and the Fourier transform

In this paper we establish new properties for the Fourier transform over the space of distributions mathscrSkprimemathscr{S}_k^{prime} introduced by Horv\u27ath. We prove Abelian theorems for the Fourier transform over the space mathscrSkprimemathscr{S}^{prime}_k, kinmathbbZkinmathbb{Z}, k<0k<0. Continuity properties and some results concerning regular distributions are studied. We also prove that the Fourier transform is an injection from mathscrSkprimemathscr{S}^{prime}_k, kinmathbbZkinmathbb{Z}, k<0k<0, into mathscrOC2k1mathscr{O}_C^{-2k-1}, where this space denotes the union of the spaces mathscrSkast2k1mathscr{S}^{-2k-1}_{k^ast}, as kastk^{ast} varies in mathbbZmathbb{Z}, which have been given by Horv\u27ath. The convolution over mathscrSkprimemathscr{S}_k^{prime} for certain regular distributions and its relation with the usual convolution product of functions is exhibited. Finally, some illustrative examples are considered

Spectral properties of the dynamic state transition in metal halide perovskite-based memristor exhibiting negative capacitance

    Get PDF
The evolution of device properties in memristor switching between high- and low-resistance states is critical for applications and is still highly subjected to significant ambiguity. Here, we present the dynamic state transition in a 2D Ruddlesden–Popper perovskite-based memristor device, measured via impedance spectroscopy. The spectral evolution of the transition exhibits a significant transformation of the low frequency arc to a negative capacitance arc, further decreasing the device resistance. The capacitance–frequency evolution of the device indicates that the appearance of the negative capacitance is intimately related to a slow kinetic phenomenon due to ionic migration and redistribution occurring at the perovskite/metal contact interface. In contrast, no negative capacitance arc is observed during the state transition of a memristor device where the contact is passivated by an undoped Spiro-OMeTAD interfacial layer. The switching mechanisms are entirely different, one due to interface transformation and the other due to filamentary formation

Nowadays, the use of artificial vision for classification in agricultural products has proven to have a great impact on this field. The exportation of agricultural goods has risen all over the world, consequently, that is the reason why exporting companies are looking to automate their processes and artificial vision techniques seems a great niche. This automation will allow an improvement in their production performance by diminishing the time and cost of their processes. While having a sound quality product in less time, improved precision and with no extensive manipulation of the product. In this article, we aim to offer a low cost alternative to this procedure oriented to the classification of Peruvian white corn by proposing an algorithm for the segmentation and recognition of images using computer vision techniques

Background: Cornual ectopic pregnancy is uncommon and represents 3% of all ectopic pregnancies. Objectives: A reported case of cornual ectopic pregnancy with succesfully surgical treatment is presented. Clinical case: A 39-yearold nulliparous patient with previous left salpingectomy due to ectopic pregnancy, presents a non-viable pregnancy at the uterine fundus identified by ultrasound and pelvic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Furthermore, a mass in the left uterine horn and multiple myomas were observed causing diagnosis doubts. A new ultrasound was performed and the gestacional sac was found in the left cornual. The result was correlate with βHCG value and it is diagnosed a cornual ectopic pregnancy in a previous left salpingectomy stump, so surgical management was performed. Conclusion: The diagnosis of CEP continues challenge clinicians due to transvaginal ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging are usually non conclusive. However, ultrasound sensitivity is operator dependent.Tesi

This investigation ROAD RISK ASSESSMENT ON THE ROUTE FROM SAN ANTONIO DE PUTINA TO MUÑANI DEL ROAD CORREDOR PRO-REGIÓN PUNO, 2020 was able to identify the vertical signaling works, and improvement of the pavement and works of art that the San Antonio de Putina route requires until Muñani within the framework of current regulations such as the Manual of Automotive Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Roads (MTC) and the Highway Manual: Geometric Design DG-2018. The implementation of these devices and the general improvements of the route emphasize road safety in order to reduce the respective individual and collective risk in order to alert the drivers of said route about the existence of dangers. In the data collection, the data collection technique was applied to later apply the current regulations that later helped me to verify the hypothesis and conclude with the final diagrams. With the study, it was possible to show that by making use of this type of tools we can apply them to those routes with similar conditions, but always taking into account the respective classification, the IMDa and the design speed of 30Km / h adequate with the level of safety and protection present on the route. In this way, the accident rate and the accident rate would be reduced since the role played by the infrastructure as responsible for the generation of accidents would be minimal and the consequences of these as well. Furthermore, with the risk study, it was possible to propose an Action Plan for the development of the strategic road safety plan.Tesi

Left-right symmetric model with μτ\mu\leftrightarrow\tau symmetry

We analyze the leptonic sector in the left-right symmetric model dressed with a (Z2)3(Z_{2})^{3} discrete symmetry which realizes, after weak spontaneous breaking, a small broken \mu\lra\tau symmetry that is suggested to explain observable neutrino oscillation data. \mu\lra\tau symmetry is broken at tree level in the effective neutrino mass matrix due to the mass difference m~τm~μ\widetilde{m}_{\tau}\neq \widetilde{m}_{\mu} in the diagonal Dirac mass terms, whereas all lepton mixings arise from a Majorana mass matrix. In the limit of a small breaking we determined θ13\theta_{13}, and the deviation from the maximal value of θATM\theta_{ATM}, in terms of the light neutrino hierarchy scale, m3m_{3}, and a single free parameter hsh_{s} of the model.Comment: 9 pages, 4 figures.
