Influencers, thanks to their ability to connect with the public, have revolutionized brand communication making it less invasive and at the same time attractive and dynamic. This research explores the behavior followed by the main Spanish fashion followers, focusing on the strategies and resources used in their communication through Instagram profiles. The gradual incorporation of men into this sector requires identifying whether the publication of habits in this social network vary or not with respect to the author’s gender. In addition, compliance with Spanish legislation on advertising is monitored, which obliges the authors to explicitly indicate any message that promotes a product or service from a contractual agreement

Programa de estimulación temprana: Síndrome de Lennox

La estimulación temprana pretende ofrecer un refuerzo estimulante a través de una serie de acciones educativas y terapéuticas para los niños con necesidades especiales y sus familias. En este trabajo se presenta una intervención de un caso único con el objetivo de mantener las habilidades psicomotoras y socio – afectivas, estimular las respuestas adaptativas de un niño con Síndrome de Lennox, así como, promover su integración social y eliminar las barreras de su entorno. Esto se puede lograr mediante un programa de intervención temprana. A pesar de las dificultades los resultados han sido satisfactorios, por lo que, finalizada la intervención se recomienda continuar con el programa. Sin embargo, hay otros aspectos a ser reforzados por lo que es recomendable remitir al niño a otro servicio complementario.Early stimulation intends to offer a stimulating reinforcement through a range of educational and therapeutic iniciatives for children with special needs and their families. This paper presents an intervention in a unique case in order to maintain psychomotor and socio-affective skills, stimulate the adaptive response of a child with Lennox Syndrome. Also this intervention promotes his social inclusion and remove his environmental barriers. This is enabled by an early stimulation programme. Despite the challenges, the results has been successful, therefore, at the end of the intervention it is recommended to continue with the proposed program. However, there are other issues to be reinforced so is recommended to send the child to an additional service

Double aortic arch diagnosed in a 44-year-old woman with recurring respiratory infections

Complete vascular rings are originated because of the persistence of the fourth aortic arches, which surround the trachea and esophagus partially or completely, compressing them. The most common type of complete vascular ring is the double aortic arch. Symptoms usually appear in the first months of life, and are provoked by esophageal and tracheal compression. The diagnosis is usually made through the chest X-ray and the esophagogram in patients with dysphagia. We present a case in which the diagnosis of a double aortic arch was made in adulthood, suspected through a spirometry test and a chest X-ray

Cortisol, Maternal Stress, and Breastfeeding Rate at Hospital Discharge: A Systematic Review

Introduction: Breastfeeding is considered the best way to provide essential and necessary nutrients to the newborn, intervening in its growth and development. However, early abandonment of this method is quite common, due to various factors such as stress. Objectives: To determine whether the level of postpartum cortisol can serve as an indicator of maternal stress and whether there is a relationship between the level of cortisol and the rate of exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) at hospital discharge. Methodology: Systematic review of the literature under the PRISMA guidelines. PubMed, Web of Science, CINAHL, and Scopus databases were used. Original articles published from 2017 to 2022 in English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish were included. All study designs were eligible. Of the 3,712 records initially identified, 15 studies were included in this review. Results: Elevated cortisol levels, due to immediate postpartum stressors, have direct effects on the performance of the essential hormones in breast milk production. The EBF rates are negatively influenced by perceived maternal stress. Conclusion: Cortisol levels may be a good indicator of the level of stress to which the mother is subjected during the immediate postpartum period

Different contexts and trends: Latina immigrant fertility in the US and Spain

This article provides the first cross-national assessment of Latina immigrant fertility trends. Specifically, we compare Ecuadorian women in Spain (EiS) to Mexican women in the United States (MiUS). We focus on these two groups because they (1) have similar socio-economic profiles and (2) are the largest Latina subgroups in their respective host countries. We show that since 2001, the fertility rate of EiS has declined substantially more than the fertility rate of MiUS has. Drawing on census and administrative data in both countries, we assess four factors that might explain this difference: economic cycles, linguistic affinity, labor market participation, and education. We argue that labor market and education factors can best help to explain Latina fertility patterns. We conclude by discussing the findings with regard to contemporary arguments about Latino culture and immigrant fertility, and by describing the study's policy implications

Productividad total de los factores y sus componentes para explotaciones de ovinos y caprinos en 37 regiones del sur de Europa (2004-2012)

[EN] The decline of Southern Europe’s traditional sheep- and goat-farming systems creates a need for studies on the economic determinants that underlie their production processes. Using data from the FADN, we built a panel of 37 regions from 5 countries over an 8-year period (2004–2012). A Cobb-Douglas was specified and a stochastic frontier production was estimated. Total Factor Productivity (TFP) and its components were calculated. The farms have had sustained, positive development of TFP since 2008, with a significant correlation with the labour factor of production. We detected moderate technical progress change, which was accompanied by decreasing efficiency.[ES] El declive del ovino y caprino del sur de Europa determina la necesidad de estudios sobre su proceso productivo. Con los datos de la FADN se ha elaborado un panel de 37 regiones de 5 países para 2004-2012. A partir de una función Cobb-Douglas, se ha estimado una frontera de producción estocástica; calculando la evolución de la Productividad Total de los Factores (TFP) y sus componentes. Las explotaciones analizadas presentan una evolución sostenida y positiva de la TFP desde 2008 y una correlación con el factor trabajo. The role of the labour and social security inspectorate in the control of compliance with the applicable legislation

La Inspección de Trabajo y Seguridad Social tiene como misión la vigilancia y exigencia del cumplimiento de la normativa vigente en el orden social, también la normativa reguladora de la relación laboral del servicio del hogar familiar, así como las normas relativas al sistema especial de la seguridad social de los empleados de hogar, convirtiéndose así en instrumento garante de su eficacia normativa. El artículo pretende analizar las peculiaridades de la actuación inspectora en estas relaciones y las conductas que pueden ser constitutivas de infracción en todas las dimensiones de la actuación inspectora.The labour and social security inspectorate has as its mission the monitoring and demand of compliance with the current labour regulations, also the rules regulating the relationship of familiy home service as well as the rules relating to the special system of social security of home employees, becoming an instrument guarantee of its effectiveness. Gentrificación y turismofobia, el caso de Barcelona = Gentrification and tourism-phobia, the case of Barcelona

El principal tema de este Trabajo Fin de Grado, es el proceso incontrolado de la gentrificación en los espacios urbanos, un problema de actualidad que hoy en día afecta a muchas ciudades. El objetivo que perseguimos es exponer las causas y efectos provocados en las ciudades así como las soluciones que se están llevando a cabo, centrándonos en el caso de la ciudad de Barcelona. El número de visitantes crece año tras año en nuestro país y la ciudad de Barcelona no se queda al margen, ya que por sus características se presenta como uno de los núcleos más notables siendo objetivo de este turismo desmedido. Se han analizado diversas tesis que versan sobre el tema principal de este Trabajo Fin de Grado, varias noticias de prensa y otras fuentes bibliográficas. En las mismas, se puede observar que como consecuencia de los flujos masivos de turistas, no solo se produce degradación física en las ciudades, sino que también existe un rechazo de la propia población residente hacia los turistas, denominado turismofobia

Detección de daño oxidativo en el ADN del espermatozoide porcino mediante inmunocitoquímica de 8-OHDG

El ganado porcino tiene una gran importancia económica, y su producción se basa principalmente en la inseminación artificial. El objetivo de este trabajo es la optimización y puesta a punto del protocolo de inmunodetección de la 8-hidroxi-2'-desoxiguanosina (8-OHdG). Un marcador temprano de la oxidación del ADN. La 8-OHdG permite detectar el daño del ADN causado por el estrés oxidativo que puede no ser detectado por métodos clásicos de evaluación de muestras espermáticas, y que constituye una de las principales causas de infertilidad masculina. El fin último que se persigue es su aplicación en citometría de flujo para evaluar miles de células por segundo. Se realizaron varios tratamientos empleando diferentes combinaciones de reactivos, concentraciones y tiempos de incubación, mediante la técnica de inmunocitoquímica. Las muestras espermáticas se observaron en un microscopio de fluorescencia y posteriormente fueron analizadas con el programa ImageJ para cuantificar la intensidad de fluorescencia. Atendiendo a los resultados obtenidos, las muestras espermáticas que presentaron mayor fluorescencia fueron las procesadas con el tratamiento de descondensación con 10 mM DTT y permeabilización con Citrato sódico 0,1% en Triton 0,1%. Habiendo comprobado los buenos resultados de esta técnica, el siguiente paso sería analizar muestras espermáticas de verracos y correlacionarlos con sus datos de fertilidad, evaluando si tiene mayor valor predictivo que las técnicas tradicionales, siendo entonces muy útil para los centros de inseminación, que podrían identificar de manera temprana los verracos subfértiles, reduciendo costes
