LeverAge: a European network to leverage the multi-age workforce
Bringing together 150+ scholars and practitioners from 50+ countries, and funded by the European Commission, COST Action LeverAge (https:// www.cost.eu/actions/CA22120/) is the first network-building project of its kind in the work and organizational psychology and human resource management (WOP/HRM) aspects of work and aging. Focused on the aging workforce, the Action aims to foster interdisciplinary and multinational scientific excellence and the translation of science to practical and societal impact across 4 years. Based on a research synthesis, we identify five broad research directions for work and aging science including work and organizational practices for a multi-age workforce, successful aging at work, the integration of age-diverse workers and knowledge transfer, aging and technology at work, and career development in later life and retirement. We provide key research questions to guide scientific inquiry along these five research directions alongside best practice recommendations to expand scholarly impact in WOP/HRM
PIRMINĖS ASMENS SVEIKATOS PRIEŽIŪROS ĮSTAIGŲ PASIRINKIMO MOTYVAI KAUNO MIESTE
Tyrimas atliktas 2017 m. Duomenų statistinė analizė atlikta naudojant statistinių programų paketą (SPSS Version 24.0 for Windows) ir MS Excel. Skirtumas tarp grupių vertintas taikant χ2 testą. Skirtumas laikytas statistiškai reikšmingu, kai p<0,05. Dažniausi pirminės asmens sveikatos priežiūros įstaigos pasirinkimo motyvai privačiose ir viešose gydymo įstaigose – patogumas atvykti (65,2 proc.), kokybiškos paslaugos (39,8 proc.) ir malonus personalas (21,7 proc.). Didžioji dauguma (77,3 proc.) rekomenduotų jų lankomą gydymo įstaigą savo artimiesiems, draugams. Effects of reciprocal, perceived person–environment fit, and emotional labor on job involvement: Moderated mediation analyses
Purpose This study examines the relationship between emotional labor and job involvement with convenience store employee, as well as mediating (perceived P–E fit) and moderating (reciprocal P–E fit) variables of this relation by proposing a moderated mediation model. Design/methodology/method The SPSS Program with PROCESS macro (Models 4 and 7) analysis was used with a sample of 230 convenience stores’ employees. Findings Results of this study demonstrated that reciprocal fit and perceived fit had moderated mediation effects between predictor (emotional labor) and criterion variables (job involvement). In addition, perceived fit evidenced positive effects on job involvement. Research limitations/implications We do not investigate the generation differences, futhure research may examine the mediating effects between EL and JI. To fully understand emotional labor, the specific cultural contexts in which it takes place will need to be considered. Practical implications This research has implications for the managers they could conduct social and individual identity to moderate the relationship between emotional workers and negative emotions. Furthermore, HR managers could apply training strategy to mediate the relationship between emotional labor and job involvement. Originality/value In the context of the emotional labor on job involvement, no studies have been conducted that have analyzed the moderated mediation effects especially the relationship between emotional labor and job involvement. This research seeks to build and extend the existing state of research on augmented moderated mediation effects by reciprocal fit and perceived fit
VYRESNIO AMŽIAUS DARBUOTOJŲ ĮSITRAUKIMAS Į DARBĄ
The aging of the labor force is observed in most developed and developing countries. The employment rate of older employees has been increasing every year and it appears to be not changed in the nearest future. The aging workforce is a serious challenge for organizations due to the prevailing stereotypical approach that older employees are less motivated, demonstrate lower labor productivity, they have more difficulties adopting new information, technologies and the lower ability to adapt to innovations. The aim of the paper is to investigate the impact of the work characteristics on the involvement in the work, the influence of employee’s characteristics on the work engagement, the influence of age and related factors on the involvement in the work and the relationship between age and achievements. The research is based on the analysis and synthesis of scientific literature, investigating to reveal the diversity of the concepts and methodologies and to systematize prevailing issues. The paper integrates the main researches in the field of older employees’ engagement and provides recommendations for future research.
Santrauka
