Objectives: In the field of action of disease associated with dependence the Third Health Plan of Castilla y León aims specifically at promoting the adjustment of health assistance to the needs of disabled people, according to their situation. Our objectives were: General: To know the satisfaction level among relatives or caregivers of people who were treated according to a protocol of dental care for mentally disabled people. Specific: To know if satisfaction is related to any sociodemographic characteristics of patients or to their pathology. Study design: Cross-sectional study by telephone survey, set in the Primary Health Area of Salamanca. The target population includes relatives or caregivers of mentally disabled patients who were sent to the hospital for treatment under general anaesthesia after being attended in Primary Dental Care Units, from 1st of June/2005 to 31st of May/2006. Social and demographic variables and patients' diseases, as well as level of satisfaction with the service, were studied through a survey. Results: 67.4% of patients' relatives or caregivers answered the survey, among whom 94.7% (C.I. 95%: 89-100%) were quite or very satisfied with the service in general. Conclusion: The protocol has high acceptance despite its diffi culties and it has achieved considerable improve- difficulties improvements in several aspects of patients' life. This level of satisfaction was not related to any sociodemographic or clinical patient characteristics. Nevertheless, accessibility aspects and communication with patients may still be improved. © Medicina Oral S. L

The present study uses the methodology of grounded theory and discourse analysis of the case of Samanta, to approach talking with others about his deceased son, follow his example, keep memories and carry out actions designed to help him by understanding the continuity of links with him. Start from the personal spaces of the deceased loved one: their room that is intertwined with the grieving process that is influenced by family, culture and beliefs, the continuing bonds is expressed that makes Samanta feel proud and allows her to express herself of emotions and community. This study also highlights how the understanding of the different aspects related to the use of spaces and the understanding of time in autobiographical narrative recollection enriches the understanding of the process and gives meaning to the continuing bonds with the loved one

Characterization of AtDGK2 in relation to Contact Sites

    Get PDF
Contact Sites are conserved cellular regions where two membranes of different organelles are very close but not merged. Contact sites between the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and the plasma membrane (ER-PM CS) play important roles in metabolic functions. We have identified AtDGK2 (Diacylglycerol kinase 2) as an interactor of SYT1 (Synaptotagmin1), which is a protein located at ER-PM CS. DGKs phosphorylate diacylglycerol to produce phosphatidic acid, both important signalling molecules. Arabidopsis thaliana has seven AtDGKs, but only AtDGK1 and AtDGK2 present an ER transmembrane domain, the rest are cytoplasmic. We have analysed the subcellular localization and functions of these two proteins.Universidad de Málaga. Campus de Excelencia Internacional Andalucía Tech. BIO2017-82609-

Defect-freezing and Defect-unbinding in the Vector Complex Ginzburg-Landau Equation

We describe the dynamical behavior found in numerical solutions of the Vector Complex Ginzburg-Landau equation in parameter values where plane waves are stable. Topological defects in the system are responsible for a rich behavior. At low coupling between the vector components, a {\sl frozen} phase is found, whereas a {\sl gas-like} phase appears at higher coupling. The transition is a consequence of a defect unbinding phenomena. Entropy functions display a characteristic behavior around the transition.Comment: 9 pages, using elsart.sty (not included). 3 figures. To appear in Computer Physics Communications (1999). The zero-removing property in some Hilbert spaces of entire functions arising in sampling theory

In the topic of sampling in reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces, sampling in Paley–Wiener spaces is the paradigmatic example. A natural generalization of Paley–Wiener spaces is obtained by substituting the Fourier kernel with an analytic Hilbert-space-valued kernel K. Thus we obtain a reproducing kernel Hilbert space HKHK of entire functions in which the Kramer property allows to prove a sampling theorem. A necessary and sufficient condition ensuring that this sampling formula can be written as a Lagrange-type interpolation series concerns the stability under removal of a finite number of zeros of the functions belonging to the space HKHK; this is the so-called zero-removing property. This work is devoted to the study of the zero-removing property in HKHK spaces, regardless of the Kramer property, revealing its connections with other mathematical fields

The aim of this article is twofold: to analyze some measures adopted by several EU Member States to transpose Directive 2010/64/EU into their internal legal system and to look at the degree of fulfilment of the mandate for quality in translation and interpreting in criminal proceedings contained therein. To that end the development of tools such as professional registers, and their role in the achievement of the intended quality, will be discussed. Lastly, the current situation of Spain vis a vis the configuration of the Official Register established under framework law 5/2015 will be approached from a critical standpoint and through the lens of a transnational case study. This study includes Austria, Italy and Belgium, whose starting points differed and who, therefore, have articulated different solutions that provide useful contrastive information to better understand the Spanish scenario
