The Nineteenth-Century Woman Reader of Intellectual Texts in Her Role as Social Agent

Este trabajo abarca el estudio acerca de la manera en que la lectura de carácter intelectual afecta a la heroína perteneciente a la novela realista y naturalista española en la relación con su entorno. Dadas las transformaciones identitarias surgidas a raíz de este ejercicio,  la interacción que se produce con el resto de agentes al ser un sujeto social se modifica radicalmente. Por ello, procedemos a analizar el modo en que la sociedad coarta y castiga toda conducta situada al margen del orden normativo. Sin embargo, al mismo tiempo, recalcamos la contradicción en que incurren los autores cuando, a la vez que niegan posibilidades a sus heroínas, las hacen visibles.This paper deals with the effects of reading intellectual texts and how it affects the heroine in relation to the new way that conform her gender, also her relationship to the environment and the interactions with other agents, being as she is a social subject ˗in the realist and naturalist Spanish novels˗. Therefore, I analyze how society restricts and punishes any conduct that falls out the normative order. At the same time, however, I emphasize the contradictions within the authors, who, while denying the opportunities to their heroines, they make them visible

Analysis of the conservation of structural elements in biological sequences

The project executed for this TFG is the study of the DNA in Mobile Genetic Elements (MGEs). These entities consist of encapsulated genetic material that can insert itself in a live organism. Generally, MGEs take advantage of certain mechanisms of the host and the goal of this study is to find patterns that may indicate this type of behaviour, specifically the mechanisms that regulate the transcription of DNA. This will be achieved by comparing the DNA of hundreds of MGEs with the sequences of proteins that are synthesized by the organisms infected. The matches found will be contextualized using control cases to extract the maximum amount of useful information about them. This analysis will be implemented by different scripts written in Python.El projecte realitzat per a aquest TFG és l'estudi de l'ADN d'Elements Genètics Móbiles o MGEs de les seves sigles en anglès (Mobile Genetic Elements). Aquestes entitats consisteixen en material genètic encapsulat que és capaç d'inserir-se dins d'organismes vius. Els MGEs generalment s'aprofiten d'uns certs mecanismes de l'organisme al qual envaeixen i la finalitat d'aquest estudi és trobar patrons que puguin indicar un comportament d'aquest tipus, en concret en els mecanismes de regulació de la transcripció de l'ADN. Això s'aconseguirà comparant l'ADN de centenars de MGEs amb les seqüències de proteïnes que se sintetitzen en els organismes que aquests infecten. Les coincidències que es trobin seran contextualitzades utilitzant casos de control per a extreure el màxim d'informació útil possible d'elles. Effects of Combined HIIT and Stroop on Strength Manifestations, Serve Speed and Accuracy in Recreational Tennis Players

Background: The importance of the serve in tennis players' performance is well known but no previous studies have analyzed the effects of both physical and cognitive fatigue on the speed and accuracy of the serve. This study analyzed the effect of a High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) with and without cognitive load on serve speed and accuracy, spirometry, and strength manifestation. Methods: 32 recreational players (25 men and 7 women; aged 21.40 +/- 1.52 years) performed a HIIT and a HIIT with a Stroop in recovery phases before performing a series of tennis services. Speed and accuracy of the services, spirometry, and strength manifestations were registered. Results: The main findings of the study showed that strength manifestations and spirometry were not affected by either protocol. A decrease in serve speed was observed in both protocols (p < 0.001) but service accuracy did not show impairments (p = 0.66). Conclusion: A combination of physical and mental fatigue may decrease serve speed but will not affect strength manifestations or spirometry negatively. These results could be caused by a response of the central nervous system to maintain the accuracy of the ball in presence of fatigu

Using multiphase technique is interesting in PV AC-module application due to light-load efficiency improvement by applying phase shedding, and the possibility of low-profile implementation. This paper presents a comparison, in terms of size and efficiency, of the parallel interleaved and the parallel-series connected multiphase configurations, as a function of the number of phases, for a forward micro-inverter operated in DCM. 8-phase prototypes of both multiphase configurations are built and compared between them and with the single phase forward micro-inverter, validating the presented analysis

Desde un punto de vista interdisciplinar, esta investigación explora la forma en que la palabra miedo funciona en la novela de Miguel Ángel Oeste Vengo de ese miedo (2022). A partir de este análisis, el trabajo pretende dar cuenta de la problemática de la identidad y la búsqueda del sentido del ser humano en el mundo contemporáneo, esclarecer la importancia del cuerpo y las emociones en la sociedad posmoderna y arrojar más luz sobre una de las tendencias más importantes de la literatura actual, como es la autoficción
