Induction Charge Detector with Multiple Sensing Stages

An induction charge detector with multiple sensing stages has been conceived for use in characterizing sprayed droplets, dust particles, large ionized molecules, and the like. Like related prior single-stage devices, each stage yields a measurement of the electric charge and the time of flight of the particle. In effect, an n-stage sensor yields n independent sets of such measurements from the same particle. The benefit of doing this is to increase the effective signal-to-noise ratio and thereby lower the charge-detection limit and the standard error of the charge measurement

Herramienta para el aprendizaje de un sistema de adquisición de datos

Se presenta un paquete de software didáctico que facilita el proceso de enseñanza/aprendizaje de la electrónica, orientado a un sistema de adquisición de datos elemental. Consta de una breve sección expositiva, en la que se describen los contenidos de la materia, más un conjunto de simulaciones que permiten al alumno conocer el funcionamiento interno de sus diversos componentes, la influencia de parámetros de interés, como el offset de los opamp, temperatura, etc. Para cada uno de los componentes, se aportan varias realizaciones que permiten al alumno interactuar con las simulaciones. Asímismo, el usuario puede elegir las especificaciones de cada componente funcional que mejor emulen el comportamiento real del sistema. Pulsed Operation of an Ion Accelerator

Electronic circuitry has been devised to enable operation of an ion accelerator in either a continuous mode or a highpeak power, low-average-power pulsed mode. In the original intended application, the ion accelerator would be used as a spacecraft thruster and the pulse mode would serve to generate small increments of impulse for precise control of trajectories and attitude. The present electronic drive circuitry generates the extraction voltage in pulses. Pulse-width modulation can affect rapid, fine control of time-averaged impulse or ion flux down to a minimum level much lower than that achievable in continuous operation

A pulsed Hall thruster system includes a Hall thruster having an electron source, a magnetic circuit, and a discharge chamber; a power processing unit for firing the Hall thruster to generate a discharge; a propellant storage and delivery system for providing propellant to the discharge chamber and a control unit for defining a pulse duration .tau.<0.1d.sup.3.rho./m, where d is the characteristic size of the thruster, .rho. is the propellant density at standard conditions, and m is the propellant mass flow rate for operating either the power processing unit to provide to the Hall thruster a power pulse of a pre-selected duration, .tau., or operating the propellant storage and delivery system to provide a propellant flow pulse of duration, .tau., or providing both as pulses, synchronized to arrive coincidentally at the discharge chamber to enable the Hall thruster to produce a discreet output impulse

Ventajas derivadas de la incorporación del Hidrógeno al Mercado Eléctrico

El siguiente trabajo trata de estudiar las ventajas derivadas de la incorporación del hidrógeno al mercado eléctrico. En el mercado eléctrico la producción de energía eléctrica tiene una componente gestionable y otra no gestionable, a su vez esta también depende del consumo de las personas, todo esto hace que haya momentos donde la producción exceda a la requerida o sea inferior, para este problema se propone el uso de la tecnología del hidrógeno como una alternativa viable a estos desajustes. El trabajo se compone de dos partes, la primera trata el estudio del funcionamiento del mercado eléctrico, teniendo en cuenta la integración de las distintas tecnologías que conforman el sistema eléctrico y su aportación al sistema. La segunda parte trata de un estudio de viabilidad de económica donde se estimará el volumen de negocio que ocupa la electricidad en España, y ver si hay mejoras con la incorporación del hidrógeno en el sistema.The following work tries to study the advantages derived from the incorporation of hydrogen to the electricity market. In the electricity market, the production of electrical energy has a manageable component and a non-manageable one, which also depends on the consumption of people, all this means that there are times when production exceeds the required or is below it, as an alternative to this problem we propose the use of hydrogen technology as a viable alternative to these imbalances. The work consists of two parts, the first deals with the study of the operation of the electricity market, taking into account the integration of the different technologies that make up the electric-mix and its contribution to the system. The second part deals with a feasibility study of economics where the volume of business occupied by electricity in Spain will be estimated, and see if there are improvements with the incorporation of hydrogen in the system.Universidad de Sevilla. Método Cornell y aprendizaje autónomo en los estudiantes de una universidad privada de Lima, 2023

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación que existe entre método Cornell y el aprendizaje autónomo en los estudiantes de una universidad privada de Lima, 2023. La metodología empleada fue de tipo básico, con un enfoque cuantitativo, un nivel correlacional y un diseño no experimental. Para la realización de este estudio fueron encuestados 135 discentes de una universidad Privada de Lima. Del mismo modo, se aplicaron dos encuestas virtuales para recoger información de ambas variables. Dichos instrumentos fueron validados por tres expertos. Para procesar los datos se empleó el software SPSS v.27, además, mediante la aplicación del coeficiente de correlación Rho de Spearman, se obtuvo un resultado de 0,837 donde se puede comprobar que existe una correspondencia positiva alta, además se apreció un nivel de Sig. Bilateral de 0.000 < 0,05, el cual nos indica una alta correspondencia efectiva entre ambas variables, por lo que se acepta la hipótesis planteada, esto quiere decir que sí existe relación entre método Cornell y el aprendizaje autónomo

Análise do Programa “Produtor de Águas” : no contexto dos projetos de Pagamentos por Serviços Ambientais (PSA) implementados no Brasil

Brazil does not have a great prominence in Payments for Environmental Services (PES) systems. The PES model is an economic instrument that rewards farmers who maintain or expand environmental services, and do not represent an agricultural subsidy. The Water Producer Program was designed by the National Water Agency (ANA), to encourage soil conservation and native forests restoration in priority areas for water resources conservation through PES schemes. The objective of this work is to analyze the initiatives of PES in Brazil and gather information relevant to the programs implemented using the program guidelines cited. It was found that the methodology for measuring environmental benefits generated by the control of diffuse pollution is the basis for a PES program. The method focuses on erosion control, based on the universal soil loss equation and considers nutrients and pesticides are transported in the same proportion that the eroded sediments. The main challenge of the program for its implementation is the identification of funding sources capable of ensuring the effective payment of incentives. Millions of people will benefit from the outcomes of the implemented projects, due to the availability of better quality water
