Design, Modeling and Failure Analysis of Rolling Key in 10-Ton C-Type Mechanical Power Press
Mechanical presses (c-type) are dangerous machines and have caused major accidents over the years, these accidents are mostly occurring due to failure of different type of components in mechanical press like key (clutch pin) , shaft , gears. When working with either full or part revolution out of failure of key leads , failure of other components and ultimately mechanical press system. The objective of present work is to study about causes of failure of key and by analysis to reduce failure of key. due to shearing and crushing . it is find out shearing and crushing are the major criteria for the failure of key. In this project work modeling of key by using CREO software and analysis using finite element analysis (ANSYS software) help to prevent and safe designing key of mechanical power press
Radiation properties of extreme nulling pulsar J1502-5653
We report on radiation properties of extreme nulling pulsar J1502-5653, by
analyzing the data acquired from the Parkes 64-m telescope at 1374 MHz. The
radio emission from this pulsar exhibits sequences of several tens to several
hundreds consecutive burst pulses, separated by null pulses, and the appearance
of the emission seems quasi-periodic. The null fraction from the data is
estimated to be 93.6%. No emission is detected in the integrated profile of all
null pulses. Systematic modulations of pulse intensity and phase are found at
the beginning of burst-pulse sequences just after null. The intensity usually
rises to a maximum for the first few pulses, then declines exponentially
afterwards, and becomes stable after few tens of pulse periods. The peak phase
appears at later longitudes for the first pulse, then drifts to earlier
longitudes rapidly, and then systematic drifting gradually vanishes while the
intensity becomes stable. In this pulsar, the intensity variation and phase
modulation of pulses are correlated in a short duration after the emission
starts following a null. Observed properties of the pulsar are compared with
other nulling pulsars published previously, and the possible explanation for

Prognostic value and functional consequences of cell cycle inhibitor p27Kip1 loss in medulloblastoma
BACKGROUND: The cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p27(Kip1) functions during normal cerebellar development and has demonstrated tumor suppressor functions in mouse models of medulloblastoma. Because P27 loss is associated with increased proliferation, we assessed whether P27 absence in surgical medulloblastoma specimens correlated with response to therapy in pediatric patients enrolled in two large studies. Additionally, we examined the functional consequence of p27(Kip1) loss in the SmoA1 medulloblastoma model to distinguish whether p27(Kip1) reduces tumor initiation or slows tumor progression. FINDINGS: Analysis of 87 well-characterized patient samples identified a threshold of P27 staining at which significant P27 loss correlated with poor patient outcome. The same criteria, applied to a second test set of tissues from 141 patients showed no difference in survival between patients with minimal P27 staining and others, suggesting that P27 levels alone are not a sufficient prognostic indicator for identifying standard-risk patients that may fail standard therapy. These findings were in contrast to prior experiments completed using a mouse medulloblastoma model. Analysis of cerebellar tumor incidence in compound mutant mice carrying the activated Smoothened (SmoA1) allele that were heterozygous or nullizygous for p27(Kip1) revealed that p27(Kip1) loss did not alter the frequency of tumor initiation. Tumors haploinsufficient or nullizygous for p27(Kip1) were, however, more invasive and displayed a higher proliferative index, suggesting p27(Kip1) loss may contribute to SmoA1 medulloblastoma progression. CONCLUSIONS: These studies revealed P27 loss affects medulloblastoma progression rather than initiation and that this putative biomarker should not be used for stratifying children with medulloblastoma to risk-based therapeutic regimens
Detection of Bursts from FRB 121102 with the Effelsberg 100-m Radio Telescope at 5 GHz and the Role of Scintillation
FRB 121102, the only repeating fast radio burst (FRB) known to date, was
discovered at 1.4 GHz and shortly after the discovery of its repeating nature,
detected up to 2.4 GHz. Here we present three bursts detected with the 100-m
Effelsberg radio telescope at 4.85 GHz. All three bursts exhibited frequency
structure on broad and narrow frequency scales. Using an autocorrelation
function analysis, we measured a characteristic bandwidth of the small-scale
structure of 6.41.6 MHz, which is consistent with the diffractive
scintillation bandwidth for this line of sight through the Galactic
interstellar medium (ISM) predicted by the NE2001 model. These were the only
detections in a campaign totaling 22 hours in 10 observing epochs spanning five
months. The observed burst detection rate within this observation was
inconsistent with a Poisson process with a constant average occurrence rate;
three bursts arrived in the final 0.3 hr of a 2 hr observation on 2016 August
20. We therefore observed a change in the rate of detectable bursts during this
observation, and we argue that boosting by diffractive interstellar
scintillations may have played a role in the detectability. Understanding
whether changes in the detection rate of bursts from FRB 121102 observed at
other radio frequencies and epochs are also a product of propagation effects,
such as scintillation boosting by the Galactic ISM or plasma lensing in the
host galaxy, or an intrinsic property of the burst emission will require

Search for Second-Generation Scalar Leptoquarks in Collisions at =1.96 TeV
Results on a search for pair production of second generation scalar
leptoquark in collisions at =1.96 TeV are reported. The
data analyzed were collected by the CDF detector during the 2002-2003 Tevatron
Run II and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 198 pb. Leptoquarks
(LQ) are sought through their decay into (charged) leptons and quarks, with
final state signatures represented by two muons and jets and one muon, large
transverse missing energy and jets. We observe no evidence for production
and derive 95% C.L. upper limits on the production cross sections as well
as lower limits on their mass as a function of , where is the
