    Optimal quantum reservoir computing for the noisy intermediate-scale quantum era

    Universal fault-tolerant quantum computers require millions of qubits with low error rates. Since this technology is years ahead, noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) computation is receiving tremendous interest. In this setup, quantum reservoir computing is a relevant machine learning algorithm. Its simplicity of training and implementation allows to perform challenging computations on today's available machines. In this Letter, we provide a criterion to select optimal quantum reservoirs, requiring few and simple gates. Our findings demonstrate that they render better results than other commonly used models with significantly less gates and also provide insight on the theoretical gap between quantum reservoir computing and the theory of quantum states' complexit

    Magnetic Catalysis in AdS4

    We study the formation of fermion condensates in Anti de Sitter space. In particular, we describe a novel version of magnetic catalysis that arises for fermions in asymptotically AdS4 geometries which cap off in the infra-red with a hard wall. We show that the presence of a magnetic field induces a fermion condensate in the bulk that spontaneously breaks CP symmetry.     Karakterisasi Karbon Pelet Campuran Rumput Gajah (Pennisetum Purpureum Scumach) Dan Tempurung Nyamplung (Calophyllum Inophyllum Linn.)

    Karbon pelet adalah produk arang yang terbuat dari biomassa karbonisasi yang hancur menjadi bubuk halus dan dipadatkan menjadi pelet. Karbon pelet dirancang untuk energi alternatif terbarukan untuk memasak, proses pembakaran dan kemungkinan untuk pembangkit listrik tenaga uap sebagai pengganti batubara. Makalah ini mempelajari kualitas pelet karbon yang terbuat dari campuran rumput gajah dengan tempurung nyamplung. Setelah karbonisasi, rumput gajah dan kulit biji nyamplung hancur dalam 60 mesh bubuk untuk pelet dengan berbagai rasio rumput gajah arang dan arang tempurung nyamplung dari 100:0, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75, dan 0:100 homogen. Sepuluh persen PVAC perekat ditambahkan ke dalam campuran sebelum kompresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komposisi campuran 75% arang rumput gajah dan 25% arang tempurung nyamplung direkomendasikan untuk karbon pelet. Komposisi campuran tersebut meningkatkan sifat fisik karbon pelet dengan rata-rata kadar air 3,35%, zat terbang 26,19%, kadar abu 13,59%, karbon terikat 60,21%, kepadatan 0,68 kg/cm3, kuat tekan 5,91 kg/cm2 dan nilai kalor 6080 kal/g

    Investigating the formation of giant {Pd72}Prop and {Pd84}Gly macrocycles using NMR, HPLC and mass spectrometry

    The formation of giant polyoxometalate (POM) species are relatively underexplored as their self-assembly process is complex due to the rapid kinetics. Polyoxopalladates (POPds) are a class of POMs based on Pd, the largest of which is the {Pd84}Ac wheel, and the slower kinetics mean the system is more amenable to systematic study. Here, we show it is possible to follow the assembly of two types of Pd-wheel; the {Pd84}Gly the smaller {Pd72}Prop wheel formed using glycolate and propionate ligands respectively. We analyzed the formation of {Pd72}Prop and {Pd84}Gly using mass spec-trometry (SEC-HPLC-MS and preparative desalting followed by MS). This was accompanied by studies that followed the chemical shift differences between the outer/inner ligands and the free ligand in solution for the {Pd84}Ac, {Pd72}Prop, and {Pd84}Gly species using NMR; this showed it was possible to track the formation of the wheels. Our findings confirm that the macrocycles assemble from smaller building blocks which react together to form the larger species over a period of days. These findings open the way for further structural derivatives and exploration of their host-guest chemistry

The computer is one tool that is used to support the development of technology that information. The student data information system is very important for a school organization and other parties who need student data. We can find out about student data information effectively and efficiently. In this study the authors designed and built a system that can process student data at SMK Negeri 1 Lolowa'u Web-based with MySQL database. The tool used by the author in designing and modeling data processing information systems at SMK Negeri 1 Lolowa'u is to use the Unified Modeling Language (UML) while the programming language that the author uses is Hypertext Preprocessor or often known as PHP. The result of this research is the formation of a student data processing information system that is used to assist SMK Negeri 1 Lolowa'u, in the process of storing, collecting, and processing student data

    Bio4gas : evaluation and analysis of wastewater treatment facilities in the scope of biogas production maximization and energy production optimization

    The present work presents some of the results of five reports developed in the scope of optimization feasibility studies carried out at 6 small- and medium-sized wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) in Portugal. These 6 WWTP are operated by five companies that belong to the Águas de Portugal holding. The objective of the studies was twofold: to assess to which extent the production of biogas could be increased by means of operational modifications and/or by the implementation of co-digestion regimes; and also to simulate different scenarios for feed-in tariff of electricity taking in account energy prices calculated based upon the DL n.º 225/2007 of 11th May. In this way, several codigestion scenarios were defined based upon standard available organic residues. The results obtained showed that the implementation of co-digestion regimes represent a significative potential to increase the production of biogas, in some cases, over 600%. Even though, it was concluded that in some cases the costs of introducing new regimes of energy management were not supported by the increase of energy production, so a scale factor is associated to the revenues. This study contributed to the establishment of specific needs in terms of information management (digester operation, energy production/consumption, strategy for optimisation)

    A metamorphic inorganic framework that can be switched between eight single-crystalline states

    The design of highly flexible framework materials requires organic linkers, whereas inorganic materials are more robust but inflexible. Here, by using linkable inorganic rings made up of tungsten oxide (P8W48O184) building blocks, we synthesized an inorganic single crystal material that can undergo at least eight different crystal-to-crystal transformations, with gigantic crystal volume contraction and expansion changes ranging from −2,170 to +1,720 Å3 with no reduction in crystallinity. Not only does this material undergo the largest single crystal-to-single crystal volume transformation thus far reported (to the best of our knowledge), the system also shows conformational flexibility while maintaining robustness over several cycles in the reversible uptake and release of guest molecules switching the crystal between different metamorphic states. This material combines the robustness of inorganic materials with the flexibility of organic frameworks, thereby challenging the notion that flexible materials with robustness are mutually exclusive

    Cet article aborde les processus de focalisation mis en scène dans le texte scénarique. Il s'agit en premier lieu de faire état des différentes modalités de la focalisation dans le texte en établissant la spécificité du cadre scénarique qui relativise le statut des verbes de perception. En second lieu, il s'agit de mettre en évidence la focalisation qu'induisent les relations d'attribution dans le texte scénarique, un personnage étant alors tenu pour responsable d'un flash-arrière. L'article conclut à la nécessité de distinguer les différentes modalités de la focalisation dans le cadre spécifique du texte scénarique.This article studies the différent focalization processes involved in a script. First, the author depicts the modalities of focalization considering the value of the verbs of perception («we see") involved in script's descriptions. In a second time, he examines the focalization introduced by the "relationship of attribution" in a script (the impression of following a character's narration) which introduces a subjective effect in the objective treatment of film narration. In conclusion, he points out the necessity to distinguish différent modalities for the expression of focalization in the script
