O lado escuro da força: a ditadura militar e o curso de história da Faculdade Nacional de Filosofia da Universidade do Brasil (FNFi/UB)

The aim of this article is to focus on the final years of the course of history at the FNFi/UB (1958-1968), in order to recover the political and historiographical conflicts that took place there, and to understand the trajectory of this disciplinary field and its professionalizationprocess at a moment of great transformations. Estão igualmente contempladas as discussões relativas a problemáticas que caracterizam as memórias de eventos traumáticos e a história do tempo presente. Para isto foram consultadas diferentes tipos de fontes como depoimentos orais, jornais, documentos da FNFi, arquivos policiais

Notas iniciais sobre a história do tempo presente e a historiografia no Brasil

A proposta deste texto é apresentar algumas considerações iniciais acerca da introdução e legitimação da história do tempo presente no Brasil, buscando uma articulação com os diferentes contextos historiográficos que dificultaram sua afirmação ou, ao contrário, que funcionaram como estímulo para seu desenvolvimento. O ponto central do nosso argumento é destacar que, diferentemente de outros países, a história oral foi um elemento fundamental para estimular e garantir a afirmação, no Brasil, da história do tempo presente, numa primeira fase, enquanto um conceito que promove uma reflexão sobre seu estatuto, seus marcos cronológicos e sua relação com as demandas sociais. Um segundo ponto é assinalar a relação da instalação da Comissão da Verdade e da Lei de Acesso à Informação como responsáveis por imprimir uma nova dinâmica para as pesquisas da história do tempo presente.Palavras-chave: História do Tempo Presente. O ensino da História, a formação de professores e a Pós-graduação

This work presents some reflections about the challenges of teaching development of elementary and high school education. The basic idea is to follow the different moments of these trajectory, beginning with the first courses in the 1930’s; the changes bringing the military regime with university reform and development of Postgraduate courses in Brazil; finally we analyse the beginning of professional master courses.O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar algumas reflexões sobre os desafios para a formação dos professores da educação básica tendo como eixo o ensino de história. A ideia básica é acompanhar os diferentes momentos desse percurso, que se inicia com as primeiras licenciaturas nos anos trinta; as transformações profundas trazidas pelo regime militar, com a Reforma Universitária a e a expansão das pós-graduações; e finalmente  a emergência dos mestrados profissionais, em especial o ProfHistória

O CUIDADO AO RECÉM-NASCIDO SUBMETIDO À DIÁLISE PERITONEAL: DESAFIOS PARA A EQUIPE DE ENFERMAGEM

Objetivou-se neste estudo caracterizar recém-nascidos que apresentaram Lesão Renal Aguda e necessitaram de diálise peritoneal em uma unidade de terapia intensiva neonatal do sul do Brasil no período de 2007 a 2010. Para tanto, realizou-se uma pesquisa descritiva do tipo estudo de caso, no primeiro semestre de 2012, a partir da busca de dados em prontuários, coletados por meio de um instrumento estruturado. Identificaram-se dez recém-nascidos com Lesão Renal Aguda; destes, dois foram submetidos à diálise peritoneal, pois eram prematuros extremos, porém apresentaram complicações e evoluíram a óbito. Conclui-se que conhecer os impasses no cuidado em diálise peritoneal leva à compreensão da necessidade de capacitação profissional e da educação continuada nos serviços de saúde neonatais.Se objetivó en este estudio caracterizar recién nacidos que presentaron Lesión Renal Aguda y necesitaron de diálisis peritoneal en una unidad de terapia intensiva neonatal del sur de Brasil en el periodo de 2007 a 2010. Para eso, fue realizada una investigación descriptiva del tipo estudio de caso, en el primer semestre de 2012, a partir de la búsqueda de datos en prontuarios, obtenidos por medio de un instrumento estructurado. Fueron identificados diez recién nacidos con Lesión Renal Aguda; de estos, dos fueron sometidos a la diálisis peritoneal, pues eran prematuros extremos, pero presentaron complicaciones y evolucionaron a óbito. Se concluye que conocer los obstáculos en el cuidado en diálisis peritoneal lleva a la comprensión de la necesidad de capacitación profesional y de la educación continuada en los servicios de salud neonatales.This study aimed to characterize newborns with Acute Kidney Injury and who needed peritoneal dialysis in a neonatal intensive care unit in the south of Brazil, in the period 2007 – 2010. To this end, a descriptive study of the case study type was undertaken in the first semester of 2012, based on a search for data in medical records, collected using a structured instrument. A total of 10 newborns with Acute Kidney Injury was identified; of these, two underwent peritoneal dialysis, as they were extremely premature. However, they presented complications and died. It is concluded that knowing the problems in the care in peritoneal dialysis leads to an understanding of the need for professional training and continuous education in the neonatal health services

Growing old, unhealthy and unequal: an exploratory study on the health of Portuguese individuals aged 50+

NIMA Working PapersIn this study we provide evidence on the health status and the role of gender and socioeconomic inequality in self reported health and morbidity status amongst the elderly in Portugal. We find a negative self-perception of health status amongst the elderly; high prevalence of chronic diseases since an earlier age; high level of depression problems reported by women; and high levels of disability amongst the oldest old. There are, nonetheless, substantial differences in health status between age groups that suggest a potential for health gains in the future. The prevalence of chronic diseases, mental problems and high disability requires an adequate (re)organization of healthcare delivery to the elderly.
