Intruso, incômodo e urgente: lugares do testemunho No ensino de literatura

In this paper we discuss some contributions of testimonial texts to basic literature teaching. We develop an analysis of how the “testimonial literature” is addressed in oficial documents, textbooks and in some pedagogical projects. The research indicates the necessity of improving the work with testimonials in literature classes, defending its approach importance, focusing on the reflexive opening occasioned by such testimonial in relation to the links between fiction and reality, aesthetic pleasure, literature’s function and human rights.Neste artigo discutimos algumas eventuais contribuições de textos testemunhais para o ensino de literatura na educação básica. Desenvolvemos uma análise do modo como certa “literatura de testemunho” é abordada nas escolas, a partir de um olhar crítico sobre documentos oficiais da educação, livros didáticos e propostas de projetos pedagógicos. O trabalho atesta a necessidade de se aprimorar a abordagem do testemunho nas aulas de literatura, apontando alguns equívocos comuns na utilização destes textos, bem como salientando sua relevância para a compreensão da natureza e limites do literário, dos meandros entre ética e estética, ficção e realidade. Também damos destaque aos problemáticos vínculos entre testemunho, literatura, prazer estético, políticas da memória e direitos humanos

O testemunho na poesia lírica: inflexões e reflexões a partir de um poema de Thiago de Mello

This article discusses, in general terms, tensions, dilemmas and peculiarities of testimony in lyric poetry. Although poetry still occupies a marginal position in the investigations of testimony in brazilian literature, our poetic repertoire has an abundant and decisive presence of witness elements, such as trauma’s writing, the strength and troubled approchement between reality and memory , ethic and aesthetic. Based on development of these considerations, we propose a brief analysis of the poem “Iniciação do prisioneiro,” by Thiago de Mello, explaining how this poem, about the period wich he was imprisoned, can be understood from the testimony’s concept.Este artigo discute, em linhas gerais, algumas tensões, impasses e particularidades do testemunho ao se manifestar na poesia lírica. Embora ainda ocupe uma posição marginal dentro das investigações sobre o testemunho na literatura brasileira, percebemos em nosso repertório poético uma presença abundante, e decisiva, de elementos testemunhais, como a escrita do trauma, o desejo de resistência e a conturbada aproximação entre realidade e memória, ética e estética. Com base no desenvolvimento dessas considerações, proponho uma breve análise do poema “Iniciação do prisioneiro”, de Thiago de Mello, destacando como este relato poético sobre o período em que o autor ficou preso nos porões da ditadura pode ser compreendido à luz do conceito de testemunho

Até que a arte nos aproxime: violência, memória e testemunho na obra Novas diretrizes para tempos de paz

This article has as a purpose analyzing the aesthetics formulations about memory and forgetting presents in the work Novas diretrizes para tempos de paz (2007), by Bosco Brasil. We discuss how the text incorporates and explores some matters of philosophical thought in twentieth century, focusing the issue of experiences transmission and testimony (BENJAMIN, 1996; AGAMBEM, 2008), the banality of evil (ARENDT, 1999) and art dilemmas in context of disasters of the century, whosemajor symbol is Auschwitz (ADORNO, 2001). The paper also examines the tense approach that the book establishes between violence committed in Europe during World War II and authoritarian Estado Novo in Brazil.Este artigo desenvolve uma análise das formulações estéticas em torno da memória e do esquecimento presentes na obra Novas diretrizes para tempos de paz (2007), de Bosco Brasil. Discutese aqui como o texto retoma e explora algumas questões cruciais para o pensamento filosófico e historiográfico do século XX, com destaque para a problemática da transmissibilidade da experiência e do testemunho (BENJAMIN, 1996; AGAMBEM, 2008), a banalidade do mal (ARENDT, 1999) e os dilemas da arte no contexto das catástrofes do século, cujo emblema maior permanece sendo Auschwitz (ADORNO, 2001). Também é examinada a tensa aproximação que a obra estabelece entre a violência na Europa durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial e o autoritarismo do Estado Novo varguista

Poesia e história: considerações sobre Fernando Pessoa e Manuel Alegre

Este artigo propõe algumas reflexões sobre as intrincadas relações entre poesia e história. Para tanto, realiza uma leitura crítica do poema “Os jogadores de xadrez”, de Fernando Pessoa – mais precisamente de seu heterônimo Ricardo Reis –, e do poema “Lição do arquitecto Manuel da Maia”, de Manuel Alegre. Os dois textos colocam em questão a função e os limites da poesia diante das catástrofes históricas: o primeiro por meio da referência a uma guerra genérica e o segundo através da destruição deixada pelo terremoto que assolou a cidade de Lisboa em 1755. O objetivo é aproximar a postura de alheamento, à primeira vista hostil ao plano da História, presente no poema de Pessoa, da tarefa benjaminiana que assume o poema de Alegre, centrado na recuperação ativa das ruínas do passado como forma de reinvenção do presente.This article develops some reflections about the intricate relationships between poetry and history. In order to do so, we performs a critical reading of the poem "Os jogadores de xadrez", by Fernando Pessoa - more precisely from his heteronym Ricardo Reis -, and the poem "Lição do arquitecto Manuel da Maia", by Manuel Alegre. Both texts explores the function and limits of poetry in the face of historical catastrophes: the first through reference to a generic war and the second through the destruction caused by the earthquake that struck the city of Lisbon in 1755. The aim is to think about the attitude of alienation, at first sight hostile to the plane of History, present in Pessoa's poem, and the Benjaminian task that assumes the poem of Alegre, centered on the active recovery of the ruins of the past as a form of reinvention of the present

O presente trabalho desenvolve uma análise das imagens da velhice na poesia de Carlos Drummond de Andrade. Para isso, resgata alguns dos poemas e crônicas reveladores do temperamento característico dos últimos anos de vida do poeta, para, em seguida, fazer um retorno estratégico e ler em sua obra as primeiras manifestações de uma “velhice precoce”, revelando sua relação com o “mundo caduco” e com o sujeito gauche.The present paper develops an analysis of images of old age in the Carlos Drummond de Andrade’s poetry. As afinidades e dessemelhanças entre Ferreira Gullar e Thiago de Mello dão margem a que se trace um paralelo entre os versos dos dois poetas desde a ditadura até a atualidade. Irmanados no engajamento, na prisão e no exílio, o maranhense e o amazonense partilham também a mudança de tom quando da redemocratização. Todavia, desde o início se mostram muito distantes relativamente ao “temperamento poético”. O consumo alimentar residual e suas relações com medidas de desempenho e eficiência, características da carcaça e perfis hematológico e metabólico sanguíneo de cordeiros Ile de France

Defesa: Curitiba, 19/12/2011Bibliografia: fls. 61-64Área de concentração: ZootecniaResumo: Dentre as várias maneiras de se mensurar a eficiência alimentar, o consumo alimentar residual (CAR) tem sido estudado para bovinos de corte e mais recentemente, se destacado também em pesquisas com ovinos. Entretanto, ainda são escassos os resultados disponíveis com essa espécie. Diante disso, objetivou-se com a realização deste trabalho avaliar o CAR de cordeiros e verificar suas relações com os perfis hematológico e metabólico sanguíneo, com medidas de desempenho e com características in vivo da carcaça, bem como verificar as diferenças para essas variáveis em animais de diferentes classes de CAR (alto ou baixo). Foram utilizados 20 cordeiros da raça Ile de France com 115 ± 8 dias de idade e 31.3 ± 4.1 kg de peso vivo inicial (PVI), que tiveram o consumo de MS (CMS) mensurado ao longo de 65 dias e foram pesados a cada 13 dias para obtenção do ganho de peso médio diário (GMD). Na ocasião das duas últimas pesagens, amostras de sangue foram coletadas para análises dos componentes sanguíneos. As seguintes medidas de desempenho e eficiência dos cordeiros foram consideradas: PVI, peso vivo final (PVF), GMD, taxa de crescimento relativo (TCR=100X[logPF–logPI]/nº de dias em experimento), taxa de Kleiber (TK=GMD/PV0,75), conversão alimentar (CA=CMS/GMD), CMS e CMS em percentual do PV (CMSPV). Avaliações da carcaça foram realizadas por ultrassom e as medidas obtidas foram: área de olho de lombo, profundidade do músculo Longissimus e espessura de gordura subcutânea entre a 12a e 13a costelas, bem como os ganhos dessas características ao longo do tempo. Correlações simples de Pearson foram estimadas e os dados das classes de eficiência (CAR alto: >0,5*DP acima da média, n=8; e CAR baixo: 0,05) entre as classes de CAR para as características de carcaça avaliadas. Destacam-se as associações do CAR com o metabolismo protéico dos cordeiros, refletido pelos níveis séricos de albumina e creatinina, e a suscetibilidade ao estresse, reconhecida pelos resultados hematológicos, que deverão servir de base para pesquisas futuras. O CAR se mostrou ferramenta útil como medida de eficiência alimentar para cordeiros em confinamento, sem existência de relações com o ganho de peso e o tamanho corporal e sem alterações na carcaça.Abstract: Among various ways of measuring feed efficiency, the residual feed intake (RFI) has been studied for beef cattle, and more recently also been highlighted in studies with sheep. However, still there are few results available with this specie. Therefore, the objective of this work was to evaluate the RFI of lambs and to verify its relationships with hematologic and metabolic blood profiles, with performance traits and with in vivo carcass characteristics, as well to verify the differences for these variables in animals from different classes of RFI (high or low). Twenty Ile de France male lambs, 115 ± 8 days of age and 31.3 ± 4.1 kg of initial body weight (IBW), who had their dry matter intake (DMI) measured over 65 days and were weighed every 13 days to determine the average daily weight gain (ADG). At the last weighings two blood samples were collected for analysis of blood components. The following performance and efficiency traits were considered: IBW, final body weight (FBW), ADG, relative growth rate (RGR=[logFBW–logIBW]/nº of trial days), Kleiber ratio (KR=ADG/BW0,75), feed conversion ratio (FCR=DMI/ADG), DMI and DMI in BW percentual (BWDMI). The carcass evaluations were performed by ultrasound and measurements were: rib eye area, Longissimus muscle depth and fat thickness between the 12th and 13th ribs as well as the gains of these characteristics throughout time. Simple Pearson correlations were estimated and the data of the efficiency classes (high-RFI:> 0.5*SD above the mean, n = 8, and low-RFI: <0.5*SD below the mean, n = 6) were compared by F test with the 5% significance level. There were correlations (P<0.05) among RFI and albumin (+0.74) and creatinine (-0.45) and high-RFI had higher serum albumin and lower creatinine levels (P<0.05) with tendency (P=0.08) to have a greater concentration of total plasma protein. There was a correlation (P<0.01) between the percentage of eosinophils and RFI (-0.65), and low-RFI animals had a higher proportion of these cells (P<0.05) and a trend (P<0.10) to have a lower percentage of monocytes. The RFI was correlated (P<0,01) with the DMI (0,81), BWDMI (0,90) and with FCR (0,63) and there were not correlations or differences (P<0.05) among RFI classes for carcass traits. The highlights are the associations of RFI with the protein metabolism of lambs, as reflected by serum albumin and creatinine, and the susceptibility to stress, recognized by hematological results, which should serve as a basis for future researches. The RFI has proven effective as a measure of feed efficiency for housed lambs without existence of relations with weight gain and body size and without changes in carcass composition

Dose-response effects of systemic anandamide administration in mice sequentially submitted to the open field and elevated plus-maze tests

The endocannabinoid system is involved in the control of many physiological functions, including the control of emotional states. In rodents, previous exposure to an open field increases the anxiety-like behavior in the elevated plus-maze. Anxiolytic-like effects of pharmacological compounds that increase endocannabinoid levels have been well documented. However, these effects are more evident in animals with high anxiety levels. Several studies have described characteristic inverted U-shaped dose-response effects of drugs that modulate the endocannabinoid levels. However, there are no studies showing the effects of different doses of exogenous anandamide, an endocannabinoid, in animal models of anxiety. Thus, in the present study, we determined the dose-response effects of exogenous anandamide at doses of 0.01, 0.1, and 1.0 mg/kg in C57BL/6 mice (N = 10/group) sequentially submitted to the open field and elevated plus-maze. Anandamide was diluted in 0.9% saline, ethyl alcohol, Emulphor® (18:1:1) and administered ip (0.1 mL/10 g body weight); control animals received the same volume of anandamide vehicle. Anandamide at the dose of 0.1 mg/kg (but not of 0.01 or 1 mg/kg) increased (P < 0.05) the time spent and the distance covered in the central zone of the open field, as well as the exploration of the open arms of the elevated plus-maze. Thus, exogenous anandamide, like pharmacological compounds that increase endocannabinoid levels, promoted a characteristic inverted U-shaped dose-response effect in animal models of anxiety. Furthermore, anandamide (0.1 mg/kg) induced an anxiolytic-like effect in the elevated plus-maze (P < 0.05) after exposing the animals to the open field test.FAPESPCNP
