deltercer milenio._________________________In the current society the work is a very valued element that it ends up acting as axis regulator of
the life of the individuals and of the entirety óf the social system, The work you can consider a phenomenon social in permanent evolution, due to the influence that be receives so much of
social, economic and cultural factors that they condition it, as of the perceptions and subjetive
valuations that people that develop the labour activity cam, out.
In this sense, along the last year they have taken place a series of changes of political, economic,
social type and even singular or so much personnel in the international context as in the national
one that, without a doubt, they have affected to the work concept that they have the individuals at
the present time. For it, presently article will try to describe the transformations happened in those
different environments, as well as -the repercussions that it has more than enough the world of
the work have been derived of all these changes, keeping in mind that we confront the year 2000
with a labour future full with uncertainty although with the hope of reaching those bigger levels
ofsatisfaction and social well-being that seem to be glimpsed in the horizon of the third millennium

Mass spectrometry coupled to imaging techniques: The better the view the greater the challenge
These are definitively exciting times for membrane lipid researchers. Once considered just as the cell membrane building blocks, the important role these lipids play is steadily being acknowledged. The improvement occurred in mass spectrometry techniques (MS) allows the establishment of the precise lipid composition of biological extracts. However, to fully understand the biological function of each individual lipid species, we need to know its spatial distribution and dynamics. In the past 10 years, the field has experienced a profound revolution thanks to the development of MS-based techniques allowing lipid imaging (MSI). Images reveal and verify what many lipid researchers had already shown by different means, but none as convincing as an image: each cell type presents a specific lipid composition, which is highly sensitive to its physiological and pathological state. While these techniques will help to place membrane lipids in the position they deserve, they also open the black box containing all the unknown regulatory mechanisms accounting for such tailored lipid composition. Thus, these results urges to different disciplines to redefine their paradigm of study by including the complexity revealed by the MSI techniques. This work was supported by the Instituto Carlos III (Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad) CP12/03338, Gwendolyn Barceló-Coblijn holds a “Miguel Servet” contract from the Instituto Carlos III. Caracterización de una lente zurda plana para la excitación de antenas planas de ranuras
“Metamaterials” are artificially engineered structured materials exhibiting novel properties due to their special architecture and not because of the constituent homogeneous materials used to manufacture them. This enables to design new materials with characteristics not available in conventional materials, as a negative refractive index. A new form of excitation for parallel plate slot antennas based in a planar “left handed” lens is proposed in [1]. This excitation allows enhancing the efficiency of these kinds of antennas. The lens is constructed using the well known “mushroom” structure. Here the characterization of the left handed lens with the mushroom structure in terms of their geometrical parameters (lattice constant, diameter of via, height of substrate) is presented using the dispersion diagram of the unit cell. Some simulations results are shown
Modular Planar Antenna at X-band for satellite communications
An antenna which has been conceived as a portable system for satellite communications based on the recommendations ITU-R S.580-6 [1] and ITU-R S.465-5 [2] for small antennas, i.e., with a diameter lower than 50 wavelengths, is introduced. It is a planar and a compact structure with a size of 40×40×2 cm. The antenna is formed by an array of 256 printed elements covering a large bandwidth (14.7%) at X-Band. The specification includes transmission (Tx) and reception (Rx) bands simultaneously. The printed antenna has a radiation pattern with a 3dB beamwidth of 5°, over a 31dBi gain, and a dual and an interchangeable circular polarizatio
Association between Sexual Satisfaction and Depression and Anxiety in Adolescents and Young Adults
Abstract: The role of sexual satisfaction in adolescents and young adults’ mental health has not been thoroughly investigated. The aim of this work is to study di_erences in sexual satisfaction and mental health (anxiety and depression) based on romantic relationship status (having a partner vs. not having one) and gender. Likewise, the association between sexual satisfaction and mental health and the moderating e_ect of romantic relationship status and gender was addressed in this research. A total of 1682 Spanish adolescents (14–17) and young adults (1829) agreed to participate in this cross-sectional investigation. Two-factor ANOVA and MANOVA, and hierarchical regression models were utilized in this study. In general, results showed more mental health for those not in a current relationship and for women. Additionally, higher levels of sexual satisfaction was associated with lower levels of anxiety for adolescents and lower levels of depression for young adults. These associations were stronger for those in a current relationship. This study highlights the importance of sexual satisfaction as a modifying factor against mental health problems, especially in the context of a current romantic relationshipThis research was funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Business (grant number PSI2013-46830-P) and Regional Ministry of Education of Castile and Leon, in Spain (grant number SA081A11-1

Does service quality matter in measuring performance of water utilities?
Quality is a dimension of water services that has been repeatedly omitted in
the study of performance of water utilities. In this paper, we make use of Data Envelopment
Analysis techniques (DEA) to compute both conventional quantity-based and
quality-adjusted indicators of technical efficiency for a sample of Spanish water utilities.
The key assumptions are that a lack of quality (bad quality) can be regarded as a bad
output, and the existence of a trade-off between quantity and quality. Our main results
indicate that quality matters in measuring technical performance, the difference between
conventional and quality-adjusted evaluations representing the opportunity cost of maintaining
quality. Averages and distribution functions significantly differ between both
assessments of performance, although water utilities do not seem to rank differently
Rhodium-Catalyzed (5+1) Annulations Between 2-Alkenylphenols and Allenes: A Practical Entry to 2,2-Disubstituted 2H-Chromenes
NOTICE: This is the peer reviewed version of the following article: Casanova, N., Seoane, A., Mascarelas, J. L., Gulías, M. (2015), Rhodium-Catalyzed (5+1) Annulations Between 2-Alkenylphenols
and Allenes: A Practical Entry to 2,2-Disubstituted 2H-Chromenes. Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., 54: 2374-2377 [doi: 10.1002/anie.201410350]. This article may be used for non-commercial purposes in accordance with Wiley Terms and Conditions for self-archiving.Readily available alkenylphenols react with allenes under rhodium catalysis to provide valuable 2,2-disubstituted 2H-chromenes. The whole process, which involves the cleavage of one C-H bond of the alkenyl moiety and the participation of the allene as a one-carbon cycloaddition partner, can be considered a simple, versatile, and atom-economical (5+1) heteroannulation. The reaction tolerates a broad range of substituents both in the alkenylphenol and in the allene, and most probably proceeds through a mechanism involving a rhodium-catalyzed C-C coupling followed by two sequential pericyclic processes. This work was supported by the Spanish MINECO (grant: SAF2013-41943-R), the ERDF, the European Research Council (Advanced Grant No. 340055), and the Xunta de Galicia (grants: GRC2013-041, EM2013/036 and a Parga Pondal contract to M.G.).
