Strengthening self-schemes through physical education in school children

El presente artículo surge de lo observado en las prácticas profesionales realizadas como parte del proceso de formación como licenciados en educación física, recreación y deporte de la Universidad Católica de Oriente, durante las cuales se evidencia que los alumnos que están finalizando su proceso de educación básica primaria y que se encuentran próximos a iniciar el ciclo de formación básica secundaria presentan dificultades en referencia a los autoesquemas, los cuales son: el autocuidado, autoimagen, autoestima, en donde se ve afectado el desarrollo integral de los niños, debido a las etapas de formación escolar. Teniendo en cuenta lo anterior se determinó la realización del presente artículo de reflexión, en el cual por medio de una rigurosa revisión documental se logro identificar de qué manera la educación física puede fortalecer dichos autoesquemas. Cabe indicar, que, para la solución de esta problemática, es necesario implementar estrategias que fomenten la expresión corporal, en donde los niños al realizar estas actividades fortalezcan su autoestima y autoimagen; para el fortalecimiento del autocuidado es necesario incentivar buenos hábitos alimenticios y deportivos, para el buen funcionamiento del cuerpo.This article arises from what is observed in the professional practices carried out as part of the training process as graduates in physical education, recreation and sport at the Universidad Católica de Oriente, during which it is evident that students who are finishing their basic education process primary school and who are close to starting the basic secondary training cycle present difficulties in reference to the self-schemes, which are: self-care, self-image, self-esteem, where the integral development of children is affected, due to the stages of schooling. Taking into account the above, it was determined to carry out the present article which, through a rigorous documentary review, it was possible to identify how physical education can strengthen said self-schemes. Cambio de la intensidad de una lámpara de LEDs desde un dispositivo móvil con SO Android

El sistema operativo Android ha tenido un gran crecimiento en dispositivos móviles en los últimos años. La mayoría de ellos cuenta con un módulo de transmisión Bluetooth para una comunicación inalámbrica entre móviles. Debido a las características de transmisión de voz y datos con este protocolo, es factible darle aplicaciones domóticas. En este documento se describe una aplicación para un dispositivo móvil como medio de manipulación de la intensidad de luz en una lámpara de LEDs. Para ello, se establece la comunicación entre un dispositivo móvil y el MCU ATmega16, el cual utiliza un módulo Bluetooth externo configurado en el modo SSP. Desde el móvil se mandan comandos, el MCU los recibe y genera una señal PWM para controlar la intensidad de luz de la lámpara de LEDs. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que este sistema es actible debido a su bajo costo y fácil manipulación, ya que la mayoría de los dispositivos móviles cuentan con sistema Android y una interfaz Bluetooth

Los humedales rioplatenses bonaerenses se extienden desde la localidad de Punta Lara hasta la localidad de Magdalena. Esta zona ha comenzado a degradarse desde finales del siglo XIX por la acción antrópica. El incumplimiento de las leyes de protección y conservación ambiental bonaerenses 11.723 y 12.756, ha acelerado la retracción areal de los humedales y la pérdida de su biodiversidad. La ley 12.756, declara Paisaje Protegido de Interés Provincial para el desarrollo ecoturístico al área del norte y centro de los humedales rioplatenses comprendida entre la Isla Santiago y el balneario Bagliardi, sin incluir su extremo sur que se extiende desde el balneario La Balandra hasta la zona ribereña de las localidades de Atalaya y Magdalena. Increased voltage-dependent K+ channel Kv1.3 and Kv1.5 expression correlates with leiomyosarcoma aggressiveness

Voltage-dependent K+ channels (Kv) are involved in the proliferation and differentiation of mammalian cells, since Kv antagonists impair cell cycle progression. Although myofibers are terminally differentiated, some myoblasts may re-enter the cell cycle and proliferate. Since Kv1.3 and Kv1.5 expression is remodeled during tumorigenesis and is involved in smooth muscle proliferation, the purpose of this study was to analyze the expression of Kv1.3 and Kv1.5 in smooth muscle neoplasms. In the present study, we examined human samples of smooth muscle tumors together with healthy speci­mens. Thus, leiomyoma (LM) and leiomyosarcoma (LMS) tumors were analyzed. Results showed that Kv1.3 was poorly expressed in the healthy muscle and indolent LM specimens, whereas aggressive LMS showed high levels of Kv1.3 expression. Kv1.5 staining was correlated with malignancy. The findings show a remodeling of Kv1.3 and Kv1.5 in human smooth muscle sarcoma. A correlation of Kv1.3 and Kv1.5 expression with tumor aggressiveness was observed. Thus, our results indicate Kv1.5 and Kv1.3 as potential tumorigenic targets for aggressive human LMS
