    Ekoliterasi merupakan upaya yang diperlukan untuk mendorong lahirnya sikap dan perilaku untuk hidup selaras dengan alam dan lingkungan. Literatur yang ada hanya terbatas pada kajian pendidikan sebagai sarana untuk menanamkan ekoliterasi pada siswa sekolah. Penelitian ini mengelaborasi ekoliterasi dalam cara kerja media, baik di ruang redaksi maupun pemberitaannya. Fokus penelitian ini adalah rubrik Pojok Gambut yang diproduksi oleh redaksi situs berita online basajan.net. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi ekoliterasi pada media massa. Metode deskriptif yang ditetapkan adalah kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara kepada redaksi Pojok Gambut basajan.net baik pimpinan redaksi maupun jurnalisnya. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa Pojok Gambut yang dikembangkan oleh redaksi basajan.net menjadi sarana bagi implementasi jurnalisme lingkungan untuk mengadvokasi pelestarian Kawasan Hidrologis Gambut khususnya di wilayah Barat Selatan Aceh. Melalui penggunakan empat kriteria ekoliterasi yang diadopsi dari McBeth, penelitian ini menunjukkan jurnalis Pojok Gambut secara optimal menggunakan ruang ini tidak hanya untuk memberitakan informasi seputar gambut, namun juga memberikan edukasi alternatif pada masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan lahan gambut yang sesuai dengan tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Elaborasi lebih lanjut mengenai penerapan ekoliterasi, implikasi, dan rekomendasi bagi penelitian selanjutnya dijelaskan di dalam makalah ini

    PROSES KOMUNIKASI PELAKU USAHA KULINER DALAM MEMPEROLEH SERTIFIKASI HALAL DI KOTA BANDA ACEH

    Halal tourism is an accelerated development program carried out by the government in several regions in Indonesia. Aceh has been designated as a center for the development of halal tourist destinations. The increasing number of Muslim tourist visits has an effect on the provision of food and beverage products (culinary). The increase in tourist visits is not matched by the availability of halal-certified food and drinks. One of the reasons is the interest of culinary business actors to seek information about halal certification. This study aims to identify the characteristics of culinary business actors and analyze their communication process in obtaining halal certificates. This research was conducted in Banda Aceh-Indonesia in January-February 2020, using survey methods and in-depth interviews. The population determination and sample selection were carried out by purposive sampling with 77 respondents from culinary businesses and simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. The results of the study show that the characteristics of culinary business actors are MSMEs which are dominated by young entrepreneurs. PLS analysis shows that the characteristic factor (0.080) has no effect on the communication process. On the other hand, institutional support (0.709) has a significant effect on the communication process.

    Komunikasi Risiko Berbasis Masyarakat dalam Menghadapi Banjir di Kabupaten Aceh Barat

    Flooding is a hydrometeorological disaster that still poses a threat to people’s lives, especially in rural areas such as Blang Beurandang Village, West Aceh District. Ecological conditions, deforestation, and uncontrolled land use change increase the risk of flooding in an area, in addition to high-intensity rainfall factors. Flood mitigation efforts are not only a structural-technical approach but also require an understanding of community knowledge and experiences that are exchanged in social interactions. Using the concept of community-based risk communication, this research was conducted to explain the risk communication practices carried out by the community of Blang Beurandang Village in dealing with recurrent floods. Data was collected through interviews with ten community informants, who were selected based on predetermined criteria. The results showed that at the community level, risk perception is formed as a subjective assessment of environmental vulnerability, socio-economic vulnerability, hazards, and capacity. Risk perception plays a role in encouraging communities to seek flood risk information from easily accessible sources and use the information channels they have. We recommend a community-based risk communication model that considers the interrelated dimensions of risk perception and risk communication.     Framing is the way in which the reality constructed by media. This research aimed to investigative and analyze the framing and the siding of the polemic about the legalization of the Flag Qanun and Logogram of Aceh. The research used the qualitative method with the framing analysis approach the text of the online news website were analyzed using Gamson and Modigliani model, which refers to a frame consisting of two supporting elements, namely the framing devices and the reasoning devices. The research objects were two online news websites; Kompas.com and Antaranews.com. The total sample frames comprised 56 pieces of news from the two online news website in three mounthstime from March through May 2013. The research results revealed that the two websites considered the polemic about the Flag Qanun and Logogram of Aceh important because there was a news value in it. The framing substance used by two online news websites was the same, i.e. the Flag Qanun and Logogram of Aceh was inconstitutional and therefore had to be revised. Such a framing had an implication that the media took side with the groups who were against the Flag Qanun and Logogram of Aceh

    KOMUNIKASI INOVASI DALAM ADOPSI BENIH UNGGUL BARU TANAMAN PANGAN PADA KELOMPOK TANI DI KABUPATEN NAGAN RAYA: Communication on Innovation in Adoption of New Superior Seeds of Food Crops on Farmers’ Group in Nagan Raya Regency

    Superior seeds are one solution for improving agricultural production in Nagan Raya Regency. The main problem that occurs is the difficulty of adoption by farmers due to a lack of information regarding the benefits that will be obtained through superior seeds. Therefore, communication plays a role in the process of spreading ideas and technology so as to accelerate the process of agricultural modernization. This study aims to identify and explain the communication of innovations made between agricultural and food policymakers and farmers in Nagan Raya Regency. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative by extracting information from agricultural policymakers in Nagan Raya Regency consisting of farmer groups, agricultural extension workers, and employees of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock in Nagan Raya Regency. The results showed that superior seed innovation in Nagan Raya Regency still focused on three types, namely, Rice, Corn, and Soybeans (Pajale) which were imported from outside the region because there were not enough supporting resources for developing superior seeds independently in Nagan Raya Regency. The communication process carried out by agricultural policymakers in disseminating superior seeds to farmer groups includes (1) introduction of target audiences based on demographic aspects and socio-economic status of farmers; (2) designing messages that are appropriate to the target group's target audience; (3) determination of methods and techniques using comparative study methods, demonstration plots, and demonstration plots; and (4) selection of communication channels that are limited to face-to-face communication and limited use of audio-visual media. ABSTRAKBenih unggul merupakan salah satu solusi bagi perbaikan produksi pertanian di Kabupaten Nagan Raya. Permasalahan utama yang terjadi adalah sulitnya adopsi dilakukan oleh petani karena kurangnya informasi terkait manfaat yang akan didapatkan melalui benih unggul. Oleh karenanya komunikasi berperan dalam proses penyebaran ide dan teknologi sehingga mempercepat proses modernisasi pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukenali dan menjelaskan komunikasi inovasi yang dilakukan antara pemangku kebijakan pertanian dan pangan dengan petani di Kabupaten Nagan Raya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggali informasi dari pemangku kebijakan bidang pertanian di Kabupaten Nagan Raya yang terdiri atas kelompok tani, penyuluh pertanian, pegawai Dinas Pertanian dan Peternakan Kabupaten Nagan Raya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi benih unggul di Kabupaten Nagan Raya masih berfokus pada tiga jenis komoditas, yaitu, Padi, Jagung, dan Kedelai (Pajale) yang didatangkan dari luar daerah karena belum cukupnya sumber daya pendukung pengembangan benih unggul secara mandiri di Kabupaten Nagan Raya. Proses komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh pemangku kebijakan bidang pertanian dalam mensosialisasikan benih unggul kepada kelompok tani meliputi (1) pengenalan khalayak sasaran berdasarkan aspek demografis dan status sosio-ekonomi petani; (2) merancang pesan yang sesuai dengan target kelompok sasaran; (3) penetapan metode dan teknik yang menggunakan metode studi banding, demplot, dan demfarm; dan (4) pemilihan saluran komunikasi yang terbatas pada komunikasi tatap muka dan penggunaan media audio-visual secara terbatas

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis framing dan keberpihakan media dalam polemik pengesahan Qanun Bendera dan Lambang Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis framing. Teks berita dari situs berita online dianalisis menggunakan model Gamson dan Modigliani. Penelitian ini dilakukan di dua situs berita online: Kompas.com dan Antaranews.com. Sampel frame berjumlah 56 berita dari dua situs berita online dalam waktu tiga bulan (bulan Maret, April, dan Mei 2013). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua situs berita menganggap penting polemik Qanun Bendera dan Lambang Aceh karena nilai berita yang terkandung di dalamnya. Substansi framing yang dipakai yang dipakai dua situs berita online sama, yaitu, Qanun Bendera dan Lambang Aceh bertentangan dengan konstitusi dan harus direvisi. Framing ini mengarahkan keberpihakan media kepada kelompok kontra Bendera dan Lambang Aceh. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa media mengonstruksi realitas kewenangan Aceh memiliki Bendera dan Lambang Daerah dapat mengganggu stabilitas keamanan dan kedaulatan Republik Indonesia. Konstruksi ini menjadikan media memainkan genre media kebangsaan yang memandang kepentingan bangsa dan negara jauh lebih penting daripada peraturan daerah yang melanggar peraturan perundang-undangan. Media mendorong agar Pemerintah Pusat dan Pemerintah Aceh berunding guna menyelesaikan polemik secara hati-hati dan demi kepentingan bersama serta masa depan perdamaian di Aceh.

    Era digital membuka peluang bagi perempuan bukan hanya untuk merepresentasikan eksistensi diri, tetapi dapat dimanfaatkan bagi peningkatan kapasitas diri untuk lebih berdaya secara pendidikan dan ekonomi tanpa harus meninggalkan peran mereka dalam keluarga. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan menjelaskan representasi diri perempuan berdaya di era digital khususnya di media sosial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis konten kualitatif dengan objek kajian akun Instagram @RachelVennya. Berdasarkan hasil penelurusan, koding, dan analisis data ditemukan bahwa Rachel Vennya merepresentasikan diri sebagai pesohor Instagram dan pengusaha perempuan yang tetap memprioritaskan kehidupan domestiknya di keluarga. Bentuk-bentuk representasi dirinya adalah berdikari secara ekonomi, pentingnya pendidikan bagi perempuan, mengutamakan keluarga, perempuan harus mampu memimpin, dan perempuan dapat berekspresi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Rachel Vennya adalah sebuah bukti bahwa perempuan mampu merepresentasikan diri mereka sebagai sosok yang tidak hanya terampil di area domestik, tetapi juga berpeluang menjadi inspirator dan pemimpin di era digital

    Beach Clean Up: Sebuah Pemasaran Sosial Guna Meningkatkan Kesadaran Pengelolaan Lingkungan Pesisir

    Batee Puteh Beach, West Aceh Regency is a beach tourism object that has historical value, but in recent years this beach has had quite a serious problem with trash around its coast. Therefore it is deemed necessary to carry out a community service program in the form of joint action to clean up the Batee Puteh Beach area by knowing Beach Clean Up which can involve various elements including students, tourists, the youth community who are environmentalists, and local residents who are willing to be involved as volunteers. The implementation of this service began with the delivery of material on social marketing, the concept of Coastal Cleanup, followed by dividing the participants into several small groups consisting of 6 people and distributing them to several points around the coast of Batee Puteh Beach. Each group will clear the area for 30 meters. After the activity, service participants understood the importance of cleanliness and management of the coastal environment, and as many as 90 percent of participants also stated that the quantity of waste and pollution had been visibly reduced

     Education is the first step in building and forming a generation that has a constructive mindset. Education will create a golden age that can be used as a hope to change civilization. School institutions are the first place that plays a vital role in introducing the importance of higher education to students to motivate them to continue their education at a higher level. This service activity was carried out at Sultan Daulat 1 Public High School to first inform access to information on scholarships to continue their education at state universities. Second, to provide information related to the entrance route to state universities. Third, to inform about the basic terms that exist in tertiary institutions. Fourth, to help direct and introduce what study programs can be taken based on the interests and abilities of each individual who will run them. The methods used in this community service activity include (1) planning and preparation, (2) the implementation process using the lecture method, and (3) evaluation. The target group in this community service activity is students from grades 11 and 12 from the Science and Social Studies majors so that there is representation from each department to extend information to other students at the school. This activity resulted in a significant change in interest in continuing education from before socialization. There were only a few students who had an interest in continuing their education after the socialization. Some very many students wanted to continue their education
