Chiral Symmetry in Charmonium - Pion Cross Section
We perform a non-perturbative calculation of the cross section
using a effective Lagrangian. Our results differ from those
of previous calculations, specially in the description of vertices involving
pions.Comment: 6 pages, RevTeX including 2 figures in eps file
Recent developments in planet migration theory
Planetary migration is the process by which a forming planet undergoes a
drift of its semi-major axis caused by the tidal interaction with its parent
protoplanetary disc. One of the key quantities to assess the migration of
embedded planets is the tidal torque between the disc and planet, which has two
components: the Lindblad torque and the corotation torque. We review the latest
results on both torque components for planets on circular orbits, with a
special emphasis on the various processes that give rise to additional, large
components of the corotation torque, and those contributing to the saturation
of this torque. These additional components of the corotation torque could help
address the shortcomings that have recently been exposed by models of planet
population syntheses. We also review recent results concerning the migration of
giant planets that carve gaps in the disc (type II migration) and the migration
of sub-giant planets that open partial gaps in massive discs (type III
migration).Comment: 52 pages, 18 figures. Review article to be published in "Tidal

The Vertex in QCD Sum Rules
The form factor is evaluated in a QCD sum rule calculation for
both and off-shell mesons. We study the double Borel sum rule for
the three point function of two pseudoscalar and one vector meson current. We
find that the momentum dependence of the form factors is different if the
or the meson is off-shell, but they lead to the same coupling constant
in the vertex.Comment: 11 pages, Latex, 4 eps figure
J/psi D*D* vertex from QCD sum rules
We calculated the strong form factor and coupling constant for the vertex in a QCD sum rule calculation. We performed a double Borel sum
rule for the three point correlation function of vertex considering both
and mesons off--shell. The form factors obtained are very
different, but they give the same coupling constant.Comment: 7 pages and 4 figures, replaced version accepted for publication in

Progress in the determination of the cross section
Improving previous calculations, we compute the cross section using QCD sum rules. Our sum rules for the , , and hadronic
matrix elements are constructed by using vaccum-pion correlation functions, and
we work up to twist-4 in the soft-pion limit. Our results suggest that, using
meson exchange models is perfectly acceptable, provided that they include form
factors and that they respect chiral symmetry. After doing a thermal average we
get mb at T=150\MeV.Comment: 22 pages, RevTeX4 including 7 figures in ps file
How Hard Are the Form Factors in Hadronic Vertices with Heavy Mesons?
The and form factors are evaluated in a full
QCD sum rule calculation. We study the double Borel sum rule for the three
point function of one meson one nucleon and one current up to order
six in the operator product expansion. The double Borel transform is performed
with respect to the nucleon and momenta, and the form factor is
evaluated as a function of the momentum of the heavy meson. These form
factors are relevant to evaluate the charmonium absorption cross section by
hadrons. Our results are compatible with constant form factors in these
vertices.Comment: 12 pages, RevTeX including 5 figures in ps file
Dissociation cross sections of ground-state and excited charmonia with light mesons in the quark model
We present numerical results for the dissociation cross sections of
ground-state, orbitally- and radially-excited charmonia in collisions with
light mesons. Our results are derived using the nonrelativistic quark model, so
all parameters are determined by fits to the experimental meson spectrum.
Examples of dissociation into both exclusive and inclusive final states are
considered. The dissociation cross sections of several C=(+) charmonia may be
of considerable importance for the study of heavy ion collisions, since these
states are expected to be produced more copiously than the J/psi. The relative
importance of the productions of ground-state and orbitally-excited charmed
mesons in a pion-charmonium collision is demonstrated through the -dependent charmonium dissociation cross sections.Comment: 9 pages, 8 figure
Long-term aesthetics, patient-reported outcomes, and auricular sensitivity after microtia reconstruction: A systematic review.
Summary Background Auricular reconstruction for microtia is most frequently performed using autologous costal cartilage (ACC) or porous polyethylene (PPE) implants. Short-term results are generally promising, but long-term results remain unclear. Long-term outcomes were explored in this systematic review, and minimal reporting criteria were suggested for future original data studies. Methods A systematic literature search was conducted in MEDLINE, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials from inception through October 14, 2020. Articles on auricular reconstruction in patients with microtia using ACC or PPE were included if postsurgical follow-up was at least 1 year. Outcome reporting was split into separate publications, and results on complications were reported previously. This publication focused on long-term aesthetic, patient-reported, and sensitivity outcomes. Results Forty-one publications reported on these outcomes. Both materials led to aesthetically pleasing results and high rates of patient satisfaction. ACC frameworks grew similarly to contralateral ears, and the anterior surface of auricles regained sensitivity. Furthermore, postoperative health-related quality of life (HRQoL) outcomes were generally good. Data synthesis was limited due to considerable variability between studies and poor study quality. No conclusions could be drawn on the superiority of either method due to the lack of comparative analyses. Conclusion Future studies should minimally report (1) surgical efficacy measured using the tool provided in the UK Care Standards for the Management of Patients with Microtia and Atresia; (2) complications including framework extrusion or exposure, graft loss, framework resorption, wire exposure and scalp/auricular scar complications and (3) HRQoL before and after treatment using the EAR-Q patient-reported outcome measure (PROM)
Charmonium - Pion Cross Section from QCD Sum Rules
The , and cross sections as a function of are evaluated in a QCD sum rule
calculation. We study the Borel sum rule for the four point function involving
pseudoscalar and vector meson currents, up to dimension four in the operator
product expansion. We find that our results are smaller than the cross sections obtained with models based on meson exchange,
but are close to those obtained with quark exchange models.Comment: revised version accepted for publication in Phys. Lett.
Pentaquark Decay in QCD Sum Rules
In a diquark-diquark-antiquark picture of the pentaquark we study the decay
within the framework of QCD sum rules. After evaluation of
the relevant three-point function, we extract the coupling
which is directly related to the pentaquark width. Restricting the decay
diagrams to those with color exchange between the meson-like and baryon-like
clusters reduces the coupling constant by a factor of four. Whereas a small
decay width might be possible for a positive parity pentaquark, it seems
difficult to explain the measured width for a pentaquark with negative parity.Comment: 14pages, 5 eps figures. Contribution to the proceedings of LC200
