Entre 1626 y 1632 el pintor Vicente Carducho realiza cincuenta y seis cuadros de iconografía cartuja para el convento del Paular, Madrid. En este artículo se analiza la labor intelectual del mentor, el prior Juan de Baeza. Unprecedented layered coordination polymers of dithiolene group 10 metals: Magnetic and electrical properties
One-pot reactions between Ni(ii), Pd(ii) or Pt(ii) salts and 3,6-dichloro-1,2-benzenedithiol (HSC6H2Cl2SH) in KOH medium under argon lead to a series of bis-dithiolene coordination polymers. X-ray analysis shows the presence of a common square planar complex [M(SC6H2Cl2S)2]2- linked to potassium cations forming either a two-dimensional coordination polymer network for {[K2(μ-H2O)2(μ-thf)(thf)2][M(SC6H2Cl2S)2]}n [M = Ni (1) and Pd (2)] or a one-dimensional coordination polymer for {[K2(μ-H2O)2(thf)6][Pt(SC6H2Cl2S)2]}n (3). In 3 the coordination environment of the potassium ions may slightly change leading to the two-dimensional coordination polymer {[K2(μ-H2O)(μ-thf)2][Pt(SC6H2Cl2S)2]}n (4) that crystallizes together with 3. Mitigating energy poverty: Potential contributions of combining PV and building thermal mass storage in low-income households
The issue of energy poverty has devastating implications for the society, and it has been aggravated in the past years due to the economic crisis and the increase of energy prices. Among the most affected are those with low incomes and living in inefficient buildings. Unfortunately, the bitter reality is that sometimes this part of the population are facing the next question: Heating, or eating? The declining prices of distributed energy technologies such as photovoltaics provides an opportunity for positive social change. Although their use does not address energy poverty directly, substantial contributions may be made.
Measurements of indoor temperatures in a social housing district of southern Spain in 2017 have revealed the unbearable temperatures that the occupants have to endure, both in summer and winter. Using this district as a case study, the present work aims to evaluate the benefits of exploiting its rooftop PV potential to cover part of the electricity consumption of the district (reducing the energy bills), and use the surplus electricity to supply power for the heat pumps in the district. Optimal alternatives regarding maximum PV production, maximum self-sufficiency ratio and minimum investment costs have been found, considering as well different options when sharing the available electricity surplus to improve the thermal comfort of the occupants. As far as the authors know, no previous study has followed an approach aimed at energy poverty alleviation such as the one presented in this work. The results show that using the surplus electricity to heat or cool the whole dwellings would improve the thermal comfort of the occupants in average up to 11% in winter and 26% in summer. If all the PV generation was used or more buildings in the area were employed to install PV modules, improvements up to 33% in winter and 67% in summer could be obtained, reducing at the same time the thermal comfort differences among the dwellings of the district
Electricity clustering framework for automatic classification of customer loads
Clustering in energy markets is a top topic with high significance on expert and intelligent systems. The main impact of is paper is the proposal of a new clustering framework for the automatic classification of electricity customers’ loads. An automatic selection of the clustering classification algorithm is also highlighted. Finally, new customers can be assigned to a predefined set of clusters in the classificationphase. The computation time of the proposed framework is less than that of previous classification tech- niques, which enables the processing of a complete electric company sample in a matter of minutes on a personal computer. The high accuracy of the predicted classification results verifies the performance of the clustering technique. Desarrollo de un prototipo de tostador de granos de cacao de 6 Kg/hora que funcione con energía solar concentrada
La presente tesis expone el diseño energético y las pruebas respectivas sobre un
prototipo de tostador solar de granos de cacao de manera que pueda ser replicado en
el sector rural del Perú. Esto tiene como finalidad brindarle al agricultor una tecnología
nueva de tostado que esté de acuerdo con la calidad del mercado.
El tostador usa la potencia térmica otorgada por un concentrados Scheffler de 8m2 de
superficie llegado a aprovechar 3.8 kW de potencia, haciendo posible tostar 3 kg de
granos de cacao en media hora, es decir, 6 kg en una hora en dos etapas.
En los capítulos iniciales se muestra una descripción del funcionamiento y aplicaciones
de uso del concentrador Scheffler. También la metodología del diseño para definir un
proyecto definitivo óptimo.
Luego se realiza un análisis térmico del tostador, evaluando las temperaturas, potencia
entregada por el sol y la potencia recibida, con la finalidad de obtener expresiones que
permitan simular el comportamiento del tostador antes de construir un primer prototipo.
De la misma manera, se realiza un análisis de las partes más importantes de la
máquina como son la estructura, el motor y el sistema de transmisión.
Finalmente, el prototipo construido se somete a diversas pruebas para así validar todo
el análisis teórico realizado y comprobar que, efectivamente, el tostador cumple con la
meta principal que es tostar granos de cacao.Tesi

Equivariant Poincar\'e series of filtrations and topology
Earlier, for an action of a finite group on a germ of an analytic
variety, an equivariant -Poincar\'e series of a multi-index filtration in
the ring of germs of functions on the variety was defined as an element of the
Grothendieck ring of -sets with an additional structure. We discuss to which
extend the -Poincar\'e series of a filtration defined by a set of curve or
divisorial valuations on the ring of germs of analytic functions in two
variables determines the (equivariant) topology of the curve or of the set of
divisors

This article may be used for non-commercial purposes in accordance with Wiley-VCH Terms and Conditions for Self-ArchivingSolvothermal reactions between copper(I) halides and 4-mercaptophenol give rise to the formation of three coordination polymers with general formula [Cu3X(HT)2]n(X=Cl, 1; Br, 2; and I, 3). The structures of these coordination polymers have been determined by X-ray diffraction at both room- and low temperature (110 K), showing a general shortening in Cu−S, Cu−X and Cu−Cu bond lengths at low temperatures. 1 and 2 are isostructural, consisting of layers in which the halogen ligands act as μ3-bridges joining two Cu1 and one Cu2 atoms whereas in 3 the iodine ligands is as μ4-mode but the layers are quasi-isostructural with 1 or 2. These compounds show a reversible thermochromic luminescence, with strong orange emission for 1 and 2, but weaker for 3 at room temperature, whereas upon cooling at 77 K 1 and 2 show stronger yellow emission, and 3 displays stronger green emission. DFT calculations have been used to rationalize these observations.
