Sorting Networks Design Using Coevolutionary CGP

Tato práce se zabývá návrhem řadicích sítí pomocí kartézskeho genetického programovaní s využitím koevoluce. Řadicí sítě jsou abstraktní modely schopné seřadit posloupnost čísel. Výhodou řadicích sítí je snadná implementovatelnost do hardware, ale jejich návrh je velmi složitý. Jednou z nekonvečních a efektivních možností jak navrhovat řadicí sítě je pomocí kartézskeho genetického programování (CGP). CGP je algoritmus patřící do skupiny evolučních algoritmů inspirovaných Darwinovou evoluční teorii. Efektivitu CGP algoritmu je možno zvýšit použitím koevoluce. Koevoluce je přístup, který pracuje s více populacemi, které se vzájemně ovlivňují a neustále vyvíjejí, čímž zabraňují uváznutí prohledávání v lokálním optimu. V práci je ukázané, že pomocou koevolúcie je možné dosiahnuť takmer dvojnásobné urýchlenie v porovnaní s evolučným návrhom.This paper deals with sorting networks design using Cartesian Genetic Programming and coevolution. Sorting networks are abstract models capable of sorting lists of numbers. Advantage of sorting networks is that they are easily implemented in hardware, but their design is very complex. One of the unconventional and effective ways to design sorting networks is Cartesian Genetic Programming (CGP). CGP is one of evolutionary algorithms that are inspired by Darwinian theory of evolution. Efficiency of the CGP algorithm can be increased by using coevolution. Coevolution is an approach that works with multiple populations, which are influencing one another and  constantly evolving, thus prevent the local optima deadlock. In this work it is shown, that with the use of coevolution, it is possible to achieve nearly twice the acceleration compared to evolutionary design.

A Comparative Analysis of Text and Music and Gender and Audience in Duke Bluebeard\u27s Castle

Andrea Fábry discusses in her article, A Comparative Analysis of Text and Music and Gender and Audience in Duke Bluebeard\u27s Castle, the image of Bluebeard as a metaphor for gender relations. Béla Bartók\u27s opera and its libretto represent a prime example of the metaphor that in turn can be found in a range of text types, from fairy tales through novels to films. In the article, Fábry analyzes Bartók\u27s contribution to the metaphor, namely with his opera, Duke Bluebeard\u27s Castle. She relates the opera to the text of the opera\u27s libretto, written by film theoretician Béla Balázs, and places her analysis in the larger historical framework of audience research in modernity. The analysis reveals that in a pronounced misogynistic artistic climate of the time and working from a libretto whose tragic ending denies transcendence to the female character of the opera, Bartók\u27s opera can be understood as the representation of simplistic domesticity where the real story remains un-mediated and un-narrated

Intersection of Roads II/471 and III/4712 in Rychvald

Import 23/07/2015Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou bezpečnosti silničního provozu na křižovatce silnic II/471 a III/4712 v obci Rychvald v Moravskoslezském kraji a návrhem potřebných opatření na zvýšení plynulosti a bezpečnosti. První část práce je věnována popisu lokality, zjištěným problémům, videoanalýze a vyhodnocením konfliktních situací ze získaného dopravně - inženýrského průzkumu. Dopravně - inženýrský průzkum sloužil ke zjištění intenzit, skladbě dopravních proudů a konfliktních situací. Druhá část bakalářské práce se zabývá návrhem na zlepšení plynulosti a bezpečnosti a kapacitními výpočty. Tato část zahrnuje úpravu stávajícího stavu křižovatky do dvou variant. V poslední části jsou vytvořeny simulační modely křižovatky v programu PTV VISSIM.This Bachelor´s thesis deals with the analysis of the road traffic safety at the crossroads of the II/471 road and the III/4712 road in the village Rychvald in the Moravian-Silesian Region and also with the proposal of necessary measures to increase the traffic flow and safety. The first part is devoted to the locality description, ascertained problems, the video analysis and the evaluation of conflict situations obtained from the road transport - engineering survey. The road transport - engineering survey was used to determine the intensity, the structure of traffic flows and conflict situations. The second part of the thesis focuses on the proposal to improve the traffic flow and safety and looks into capacity calculations. This section includes a landscaping of the current state of the crossroads in two variants.
