    This study aims to determine the effect on the cost aspects of quality management on the quality cost of pastry shop and bakery in the city of Palembang. The population in this study is a pastry shop and bakery in the city of Palembang contained in Cybo.com Website. Determination of the samples were calculated using census, where all members of a population of 35 sampled. The analytical method used in this study is a simple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing used was t test with SPSS. These results indicate that the quality management did not significantly affect the cost aspects of quality

    Intertwining Development concepts and Socio-Cultural Alienation: An ethno-linguistic analysis of cultural identity Crisis in Sub-Saharan African Countries

    It would be inappropriate to discuss issues of development without taking an overview of some of the factors that influence it. From our analysis of development strategies and projects carried out in developing countries, a study of the views and concepts of development in various parts of Africa south of the Sahara in general and Cameroon in particular reveals a tremendous degree of cultural value degradation. This study seeks to show to what extend popular notions of development lead to cultural alienation but without any real social impact in developing countries. In this study, I will equally analyse the prevailing situation of acculturation in Cameroon, provide some salient examples of adulterated development models which have not helped in reducing the general poverty index of the country.The paper equally has as objective to demonstrate that western concepts of development are at the centre of African cultural alienation and how this shift is more of disillusionment. Revisiting what some scholars like Verhelst (1990) Gheddo (1973) have clearly demonstrated in their works that the Western concept of development is a cultural illusion inferring that Africans should consider themselves as not only consumers but also creators of their own meaningful development independently of the western ideologies, this paper thus examines the implication of such a situation within the global context of cultural alienation, and the limited technological developments observed in African states south of the Sahara

    Persaingan industri telekomunikasi semakin ketat yang ditandai dengan turunnya customer loyalty. Pengembangan dan pengelolaan customer loyalty menjadi fokus utama bagi perencanaan pemasaran perusahaan, khusunya dalam menghadapi pasar kompetitif dengan pertumbuhan tak terduga. Solusi utama yang harus dilakukan perusahaan adalah dengan menjalin hubungan baik dengan pelanggan dan mempertahankan perusahaan dengan berbagai strategi, yaitu meningkatkan interpersonal relationship dan customer satisfaction. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran interpersonal relationship pada pengguna aplikasi My Smartfren di Indonesia, mengetahui gambaran customer satisfaction pada pengguna aplikasi My Smartfren di Indonesia, mengetahui gambaran customer loyalty pada pengguna aplikasi My Smartfren di Indonesia, dan memperoleh temuan besarnya pengaruh interpersonal relationship dan customer satisfaction terhadap customer loyalty pada pengguna aplikasi My Smartfren di Indonesia Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif eksplanatif, dan metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 149 responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis jalur dengan alat bantu software komputer SPSS 25.0 for Windows. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian secara keseluruhan nilai perhitungan yang diperoleh melalui analisis jalur lebih besar dibandingkan dengan yang terdapat pada tabel. Artinya secara keseluruhan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari interpersonal relationship dan customer satisfaction terhadap customer loyalty. Dalam upaya meningkatkan customer loyalty, pihak perusahaan harus senantiasa meningkatkan interpersonal relationship yang baik dan customer satisfaction. Interpersonal relationship, customer satisfaction dan customer loyalty sebagai variabel yang berpengaruh dominan harus tetap dapat dikendalikan secara langsung oleh perusahaan. The competition in the telecommunications industry is increasingly stringent, which is characterized by a decline in customer loyalty. Customer loyalty becomes a thing that cannot be ignored in a company. The main solution that must be done by the company is to establish good relationships with customers and maintain the company with various strategies, is to improve interpersonal relationship and customer satisfaction. This study aims to determine the description of interpersonal relationship on My Smartfren application user in Indonesian, find out the description of customer satisfaction on My Smartfren application user in Indonesian, find out the description of customer loyalty on My Smartfren application user in Indonesian, and obtain the findings of the influence of interpersonal relationship and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty on on My Smartfren application user in Indonesian. The type of research used is descriptive explanative, and the method used is the survey method using simple random sampling technique with a sample of 149 respondents. The data analysis technique used is path analysis with SPSS 25.0 for Windows computer software tools. Based on the results of the overall research the value of the calculation obtained through path analysis is greater than that found in the table. This means that overall there is a significant effect of interpersonal relationship and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty. In an effort to increase customer loyalty, the company must always increase good interpersonal relationship and customer satisfaction. Interpersonal relationship, customer satisfaction and customer loyalty as the dominant influential variable must still be directly controlled by the company.     IMPROVING STUDENTSā€™ NARRATIVE WRITING ABILITY BY IMPLEMENTING DIGITAL PICTURE SERIES IN ONLINE EFL CLASS

    Writing skill is considered as one of the most difficult skill to be learnt as it is an active productive skill. Students have to learn how to find out ideas and pour it into a certain type of writing product. In narrative writing, students have some difficulties to find idea and to organize the narrative text. Many studies have been conducted to figure out the ways in helping students improve their narrative writing ability. Picture series is one of many proven ways to help students improve their narrative writing. This study emphasized the use of digital narrative writing because during this research was being conducted, classes are conducted online due to Covid19 pandemic. Researcher used a web-side based application called StoryBoardThat.com as the media of digital picture series. This study is to prove that the implementation of digital picture series can improve studentsā€™ narrative writing ability and also to see studentsā€™ response of it. This research is done to 15 students of X MIPA 1 grader in Sekolah Citra Berkat, Surabaya. Researcher used two instruments to find out the data of this study. To find out whether digital picture series can improve studentsā€™ narrative writing, writer used pre-experimental research which took studentsā€™ pre-test and post-test result and processed using Paired Sample T-test to see the improvement of the narrative writing. Then to determine studentsā€™ response towards the implementation of digital picture series, researcher used questionnaire in a form of five-points Likert Scale consist of 21 statements which grouped into 7 topics, which each of the topic consisted of 3 statements. The result of this study showed a significant improvement of studentsā€™ narrative writing (2-Tailed) < 0.05 (Ha). From the questionnaire it can be seen that 80% students agreed that digital picture series implementation is more fun. Based on the result, it can be concluded that digital picture series implementation can improve studentsā€™ ability in narrative writing. Keywords: digital picture series, narrative writing &nbsp

    WEIGHTED QUANTILE SUM REGRESSION FOR ANALYZING CORRELATED PREDICTORS ACTING THROUGH A MEDIATION PATHWAY ON A BIOLOGICAL OUTCOME

Professor, Department of Biostatistics This work examines mediated effects of a set of correlated predictors using the recently developed Weighted Quantile Sum (WQS) regression method. Traditionally, mediation analysis has been conducted using the multiple regression method, first proposed by Baron and Kenny (1986), which has since been advanced by several authors like MacKinnon (2008). Mediation analysis of a highly correlated predictor set is challenging due to the condition of multicollinearity. Weighted Quantile Sum (WQS) regression can be used as an alternative method to analyze the mediated effects, when predictor correlations are high. As part of the WQS method, a weighted quartile sum index (WQSindex) is computed to represent the predictor set as an entity. The predictor variables in classic mediation are then replaced with the WQSindex, allowing for the estimation of the total indirect effect between all the predictors and the outcome. Predictors having a high relative importance in their association with the outcome can be identified by examining the empirical weights for the individual predictors estimated by the WQS regression method. Other constrained optimization methods (e.g. LASSO) focus on reducing dimensionality of the correlated predictors to reduce multicollinearity. WQS regression in the context of mediation is studied using Monte Carlo simulation for mediation models with two and three correlated predictors. WQS regressionā€™s performance is compared to the classic OLS multiple regression and the regularized LASSO regression methods. An application of these three methods to the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) dataset examines the effect of serum concentrations of Polychlorinated Biphenyls (independent variables) on the liver enzyme, alanine aminotransferase ALT (outcome), with chromosomal telomere length as a potential mediator.     ABSTRACT The title of this research is Suujoshi in Speech Act. The thesis is finished in 2016, conducted by Ade Evani Januarifin a student of Japanese Literature in Faculty of Humanity, Diponegoro University. The first advisor of my research is Maharani Patria Ratna, S.S M.Hum and Reny Wiyatasari, S.S M.Hum. The main matter of this research is; 1. What kind of Shuujoshi in speech act in a command form? 2. How is the relation between the person who speak shuujoshi in a directive speech? The purpose of this research is; 1. To know shuujoshi which appears in the directive speech acts in the form of command sentences. 2. To know the relation between the participants during the shuujoshi directive speech. The author used Descriptive Qualitative method on this research. For the data analyzing, the author used Descriptive Analysis method. This research found 5 kinds of shuujoshi which appears in directive speech, yo, ne, na, ya, and kana. Every shuujoshi has a different meaning depends on the context itself.     Pengaruh Net Profit Margin dan Current Ratio terhadap Harga Saham pada Perusahaan Food and Beverages

    This research aims to test and analyze the influence of net profit margin (NPM) and current ratio (CR) on share prices in food and beverages companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in the 2019-2022 period. The sampling method in this research uses a purposive sampling technique, using quantitative data types involving 108 data from 27 food and beverages companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data source in this research is secondary data obtained from financial reports, using a ratio scale. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this research show that net profit margin and current ratio influence stock prices. This study has limitations in processing data because the data tested before outliers is not normal, this is indicated that there is extreme data in several companies. Based on this, researchers can suggest further researchers using other sub-sectors such as the financial sector, mining sector, agricultural sector, and basic & chemical sectors, and other sectors besides the food and beverage sector

    Kantor otoritas bandar udara merupakan suatu lembaga pemerintah yang mempunyai tugas melaksanakan peraturan, pengendalian dan pengawasan kegiatan penerbangan dibandar udara. kegiatan pengawasan tersebut dapat dilakukan oleh inspektur angkutan udara.  salah satu pengawasan yang dapat dilakukan  oleh inspektur angkutan udara adalah melaksanakan pengawasan delay management pada sebuah badan usaha angkutan udara niaga berjadwal dalam negeri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran inspektur angkutan udara terhadap pengawaasan delay manajemen dan hambatan yang ditemui dibandar udara internasional kualanamu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan 2 sumber data yaitu sumber data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data ditinjau melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran inspektur angkutan udara terhadap pelaksanaan pengawasan delay management adalah melakukan pengawasan secara rutin dan berkala serta pemantauan atas kesesuaian badan usaha dalam memberikan kompensasi kepada penumpang dan melaporkan hasil pengawasan. terdapat hambatan yang ditemukan yaitu keterlambatannya badan usaha angkutan udara dalam memberikan informasi terkait keterlambatan penerbangan
