La imagen y el estilo de la mujer política española como elementos básicos de su comunicación / The image and the style of the spanish politician women as the basics of their communication

This research analyses the image and style of the Spanish political woman, as a basis for her communication and key to her professional success. Firstly, we reviwed the state of the question on the elements used in our qualitative research, detailing the image of two active Spanish women politicians. They are Cristina González Calvar, general secretary of the Spanish Socialist Party (PSOE) in Álava, and Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría, vice president and minister of the Presidency and for the Territorial Administrations of the Government chaired by Mariano Rajoy (Popular Party, PP). Secondly, we have done a quantitative research, with an interview of four questions, answered by a hundred professionals of communication, image and advice of spokespersons. The main objective is to show that women politicians should not show a better image on the basis of aesthetic data, but should be comfortable with that image to project greater credibility.

The study is based on air-photograph interpretation, Landsat satellite image and field checking. The work presents to types of maps at regional scale of the río Salado basin in the Central Andes of Mendoza. One is a base map that shows the distribution and classificarion of historic and pre-historic mass-wasting processes (rockfall, slides, flows and complex); the other is a map of the hazard zones prone to instability classified into therr degrees of hazard,  in order to provide a rational land-use planning. A relationship between severe reinfalls and the occurrence of rockfalls and flows was found,. In addition, a correlation beteen the lithology and certain types of landslide events as detected.Fil: Espizua, Lydia Elena. Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas. Extending glacier monitoring into the Little Ice Age and beyond

Reconstructions of glacier front variations based on well-dated historical evidence from the Alps, Scandinavia, and the southern Andes, extend the observational record as far back as the 16th century. The standardized compilation of paleo-glacier length changes is now an integral part of the internationally coordinated glacier monitoring system

Fission-track Dating Of A Tephra Layer Related To Poti-malal And Seguro Drifts In The Río Grande Basin, Mendoza, Argentina

    No full text
Two old drift units called Poti-Malal and Seguro have been differentiated in the Río Grande basin based on relative-age criteria, stratigraphical relationships, morphology and fission-track dating. A tephra dated at 0.226±0.025 Ma was deposited on the Poti-Malal drift and underlies the Seguro outwash, which is inferred to equate with marine oxygen isotope stage 6. The stratigraphical position and age suggest that the tephra post-dates the Poti-Malal glaciation and that it is older than the Seguro drift. The Poti-Malal glaciation must be at least as old as Early-Middle Pleistocene, and the Seguro glaciation is assigned to the penultimate glaciation. The tephra unit may have been deposited during marine oxygen isotope stage 7. Geometric evolution of the Horcones Inferior Glacier (Mount Aconcagua, Central Andes) during the 2002-2006 surge

    Get PDF
The Central Andes of Chile and Argentina (31-35ï¿S) contain a large number and variety of ice masses, but only two surging glaciers have been studied in this region. We analyzed the 2002-2006 surge of the Horcones Inferior Glacier, Mount Aconcagua, Argentina, based on medium spatial resolution (15-30 m) satellite images and digital elevation models. During the buildup phase the glacier was stagnant, with velocities lower than 0.1 m/d. In the active-phase velocities reached 14 m/d and the glacier front advanced 3.1 km. At the peak of the active phase (2003-2004), the area-averaged elevation change was-42 m in the reservoir zone (2.53 km2) and +30 m in the receiving zone (3.31 km2). The estimated ice flux through a cross section located at 4175 meter above sea level was 108 m3 during a period of 391 days, a flux that suggests a mean glacier thickness at this location of ~90 m. The depletion phase showed a recovery of the reservoir zone elevation, the down wasting of the receiving zone (-17 m, 2007-2014), and a return to quiescent velocities. The short active phase, the abrupt change in the velocities, and the high level of the proglacial stream indicate a hydrological switch (Alaska type) trigger. The 2002-2006 and 1984-1990 surges of Horcones Inferior were synchronous with the surges of nearby Grande del Nevado Glacier. These events occurred after periods of positive mass balance, so we hypothesize a climate driver.Fil: Pitte, Pedro Miguel. Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas.
