Revisiting Ciric type nonunique fixed point theorems via interpolation

[EN] In this paper, we aim to revisit some non-unique fixed point theorems that were initiated by Ciric, first. We consider also some natural consequences of the obtained results. In addition, we provide a simple example to illustrate the validity of the main result.Karapinar, E. (2021). Revisiting Ciric type nonunique fixed point theorems via interpolation. On the weak form of Ekeland s Variational Principle in quasi-metric spaces

[EN] We show that a quasi-metric space is right K-sequentially complete if and only if it satisfies the property of the weak form of Eke land's Variational Principle. This result solves a question raised by S. Cobzas (2011) [3]. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. Strong convergence theorem for strict pseudo-contractions in Hilbert spaces

Abstract In this paper, inspired by Hussain et al. (Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2015:17, 2015), we study a modified Mann method to approximate strongly fixed points of strict pseudo-contractive mappings. In (Hussain et al. in Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2015:17, 2015) it is shown that the same algorithm converges strongly to a fixed point of a nonexpansive mapping under suitable hypotheses on the coefficients. Here the assumptions on the coefficients are different, as well as the techniques of the proof

A discussion on generalized almost contractions via rational expressions in partially ordered metric spaces

    Get PDF
The main purpose of this paper is to give some fixed point results for mappings involving generalized (Formula presented.)-contractions in partially ordered metric spaces. Our results generalize, extend, and unify several well-known comparable results in the literature (Jaggi in Indian J. Pure Appl. Math. 8(2):223-230, 1977, Harjani et al. in Nonlinear Anal. 71:3403-3410, 2009, Luong and Thuan in Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2011:46, 2011). The presented results are supported by three illustrative examples. MSC: 46N40, 47H10, 54H25, 46T99.Scopu
