Combining benchmarking and chain-linking for short-term regional forecasting

In this paper we propose a methodology to estimate and forecast the GDP of the different regions of a country, providing quarterly profiles paper offers a new instrument for short degree of synchronicity among regional business cycles. Technically, we combine time series models with benchma quarterly indicators and to estimate quarterly regional GDPs ensuring their temporal and transversal consistency with the National Accounts data. The methodology addresses the issue of non-additivity taking into account linked volume indexes used by the National Accounts and provides an efficient combination of structural as well as short-term information. Sobre la esencia del sentimiento. Un diálogo hermenéutico crítico con M. Scheler y M. Henry

Drawing on a hermeneutic-critical dialogue first with M. Scheler’s position and then with M. Henry’s stance, this article attempts a phenomenological analysis of feelings as intentional acts. First, it explores the essence of feeling as a strict correlation between the self-affectivity experienced by the lived body (subjective correlate) and the pathetic character of the world (objective correlate).This relationship is characterized according to a twofold reversion of the intentional direction that holds between both correlates. Second, the notion of “capability of taking interest in” is introduced as an originary transcendental condition of possibility for feelings.A partir de un diálogo hermenéutico-crítico con el pensamiento primero de M. Scheler y luego de M. Henry el artículo emprende un análisis fenomenológico de los sentimientos en tanto actos intencionales. Primero se elucida la esencia del sentimiento como una estricta correlación entre la auto-afectividad experimentada en el cuerpo viviente (correlato subjetivo) y el carácter patético del mundo (correlato objetivo), y se caracteriza esta correlación en función de una doble reversión de la dirección intencional que se da entre ambos correlatos. Luego se introduce la noción de “interesabilidad” como condición originaria tracendental de posibilidad de todo sentimiento

When the eternity makes history: Observations on the relationship between history, existence and eternity from the philosophy of the history of Jan Patočka

El artículo desarrolla una hermenéutica fenomenológica de las relaciones entre historia, sentido, existencia y eternidad en la filosofía de la historia de Jan Patočka. Primero determina las nociones de sentido e historia. Luego explicita en qué medida la existencia humana constituye la condición de posibilidad de un sentido problemático y concurrente de la historia. Finalmente analiza la "existencia en la verdad" como resultado de una correlación entre existenciariedad y eternidad y comprende la interpelación de la eternidad como origen del sentido.This article develops a phenomenological hermeneutics of the relationship between history, meaning, existence, and eternity, on the basis afforded by Jan Patocka’s philosophy of history. First, it outlines the notions of meaning and history. Second, it attempts to make clear the degree in which one can find in the constitution of human existence the condition of possibility for a problematic and concurrent meaning of history. Maurice Halbwachs : oficialidad y clandestinidad de la memoria

Este trabajo pretende mostrar, en lineas generales, la presencia y vitalidad atribuidas por Maurice Halbwachs, un digno continuado del pensamiento durkheimiano, a las memorias colectivas excluidas del campo socialmente institucionalizado. Para el desvelamiento de su opaca operatividad, sugiere optar por una sociología de las profundidades, por una mirada sociológica que, desmarcándose del positivismo dominante en las ciencias sociales, logre penetrar en la permanente lógica subterránea que actúa siempre en la vida social. De este modo, busca radiografiar la naturaleza de una memoria colectiva que consigue pervivir a los avatares del tiempo, así como sus tensas relaciones tanto con la memoria oficial como con la temporalidad histórica dominante.This article tries to show, in general terms, how Maurice Halbwachs has discovered presence and vitality in the collective memorieswhich have been excluded from the sociallyinstitutionalized world. In order to decipher his opaque writing, one should try for a sociology of the depths, for a sociological look that, separating itself from the dominant positivism of the social sciences, manages to penetrate the hidden logic that permanently underlies social life. This article seeks to uncover the nature of a collective memory that respects the vicissitudes of time, as well as its difficult relations both with official memory and with the dominant historical record

En torno a las fórmulas alternativas de religiosidad : la re-elaboración de nuevas modalidades de vínculo comunitatio

El artículo pretende interpretar el auge cobrado por las nuevas expresiones de religiosidad en las sociedades occidentales contemporáneas. Parte, a modo de presupuesto, de la capacidad antropológica atesorada en la religión para propiciar un sentimiento de integración comunitaria. Analiza el proceso de descomposición de la fuerza vinculante de la religión como resultado de la aparición de la modernidad, así como el surgimiento de la nueva modalidad de vínculo social por ésta provocado. Profundiza, finalmente, en la idiosincrasia de las nuevas formas de religiosidad contemporánea, proponiendo que la auténtica comprensión de su naturaleza exigiría contemplarlas como reacciones al tipo de vínculo social institucionalizado por la modernidad.The article tries to interpret the height acquired by the new expressions of religiousness in the contemporary western societies. It starts off, as a budget, of the anthropological capacity hoarded in the religion to cause a feeling of communitarian integration. It analyzes the process of decomposition of the binding force of the religion as a result of the appearance of modernity, as well as the sprouting of the new modality of social bond by this one caused. It article deepens, finally, in the idiosyncrasy of the new forms of contemporary religiousness, proposing that the authentic understanding of its nature would demand to contemplate them like reactions to the type of institutionalized social bond by modernity
