With this issue we are starting a new section ofthe Journal Dialogue. Our investigations are proceeding to open up new areas in science, and uncertainty exists as to lines of inquiry to pursue, and as to meaning of results obtained. In this new section we invite two outstanding researchers to respond to a ground breaking paper. When we receive those comments, we send copies to the original author, who then has opportunity to respond. Then comments and the author's response are published together in this journal. we hope that this new section ofdialogue will interest you, will be thoughtprovoking, that it will help us to think through the hidden assumptions and issues that underlie investigations in this field. Creatividad para la innovación de la Empresa Café Apante del departamento de Matagalpa, durante el año 2017

La siguiente investigación describe el análisis de la creatividad para la innovación de las pequeñas y medianas empresas (PYMES) del departamento de Matagalpa durante el año 2017, se definen a continuación que es creatividad e innovación: La creatividad se define como la posibilidad de formular nuevas iniciativas de acción que se pueden concretar en ―ideas creativas‖ esto quiere decir que la creatividad se enfoca en tener iniciativa para lograr metas que tengan que ver con la facultad de crear. La innovación es la capacidad organizativa para convertir una buena idea en un producto, servicio, proceso, valorado con éxito, este es uno de los elementos más importante de una persona, se debe de realizar cambios en la forma de pensar y actuar incorporando elementos tecnológicos que les permita proyectar los resultados. El propósito es conocer la creatividad para la innovación de la Empresa Café Apante basándose en los procesos de ventas que se aplican en la empresa para lograr un crecimiento en el mercado. Los principales hallazgos encontrados definen que la empresa aplica diferentes tipos de creatividad plástica en el uso de señales e imágenes, la creatividad científica e inventiva , así como las características creativas que fomentan el crecimiento individual de los colaboradores; están las actitudes optimistas para lograr el desarrollo integral y funcional, en la innovación de la empresa se encuentran elementos que implementan estrategias básicas de innovación en los procesos y en los productos, estrategias de mercadotecnia como técnicas de merchandising , teniendo un comportamiento reactiv

The 9/30/2007 ASC Level 2 Post-Processing V&V Milestone (Milestone 2360) contains functionality required by the user community for certain verification and validation tasks. These capabilities include loading of edge and face data on an Exodus mesh, run-time computation of an exact solution to a verification problem, delivery of results data from the server to the client, computation of an integral-based error metric, simultaneous loading of simulation and test data, and comparison of that data using visual and quantitative methods. The capabilities were tested extensively by performing a typical ALEGRA HEDP verification task. Scalable Collaborative Infrastructure for a Learning Healthcare System (SCILHS): Architecture

We describe the architecture of the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) funded Scalable Collaborative Infrastructure for a Learning Healthcare System (SCILHS, http://www.SCILHS.org) clinical data research network, which leverages the $48 billion dollar federal investment in health information technology (IT) to enable a queryable semantic data model across 10 health systems covering more than 8 million patients, plugging universally into the point of care, generating evidence and discovery, and thereby enabling clinician and patient participation in research during the patient encounter. Central to the success of SCILHS is development of innovative ‘apps’ to improve PCOR research methods and capacitate point of care functions such as consent, enrollment, randomization, and outreach for patient-reported outcomes. SCILHS adapts and extends an existing national research network formed on an advanced IT infrastructure built with open source, free, modular components

Combined point of care nucleic acid and antibody testing for SARS-CoV-2 following emergence of D614G Spike Variant

Rapid COVID-19 diagnosis in hospital is essential, though complicated by 30-50% of nose/throat swabs being negative by SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid amplification testing (NAAT). Furthermore, the D614G spike mutant now dominates the pandemic and it is unclear how serological tests designed to detect anti-Spike antibodies perform against this variant. We assess the diagnostic accuracy of combined rapid antibody point of care (POC) and nucleic acid assays for suspected COVID-19 disease due to either wild type or the D614G spike mutant SARS-CoV-2. The overall detection rate for COVID-19 is 79.2% (95CI 57.8-92.9%) by rapid NAAT alone. Combined point of care antibody test and rapid NAAT is not impacted by D614G and results in very high sensitivity for COVID-19 diagnosis with very high specificity

A Roadmap for HEP Software and Computing R&D for the 2020s

Particle physics has an ambitious and broad experimental programme for the coming decades. This programme requires large investments in detector hardware, either to build new facilities and experiments, or to upgrade existing ones. Similarly, it requires commensurate investment in the R&D of software to acquire, manage, process, and analyse the shear amounts of data to be recorded. In planning for the HL-LHC in particular, it is critical that all of the collaborating stakeholders agree on the software goals and priorities, and that the efforts complement each other. In this spirit, this white paper describes the R&D activities required to prepare for this software upgrade.Peer reviewe
