Background Women’s sexual well-being has been the center of attention in the field of sexology. Study of sexual behavior and investigating its predictors are important for women’s health promotion. This study aimed to explore the components of women’s sexual behaviors and their possible associations with demographic variables. Materials and Methods This study was a cross-sectional study (descriptive and analytic) that was conducted in Kashan city, Iran. A National Sexual Behavior Assessment Questionnaire was completed by 500 women of 15 to 49 who referred to the public health centers. To analyze the data, R software was used, ANOVA or Kruskal-Wallis (for parametric or nonparametric data, respectively) were used to compare outcomes among different groups. In order to evaluate the correlation between the subscales, the Pearson correlation coefficient was used. Results From all participants, 31.8% obtained high scores in the sexual capacity, 21.2% had high scores in sexual motivation and 0.2% had high scores in sexual function. In sexual script component, 86.2% of women who held traditional beliefs toward sexual behaviors; the majority (91.5%) of women believed in mutual and relational sexuality, 83.4% believed in androcentricity (male-dominated sexuality). Pearson correlation test showed a significant positive correlation between sexual capacity, motivation, function and sexual script. Linear Regression model showed that sexual capacity is associated with women’s education and age of her spouse. Sexual function and sexual motivation were significantly associated with the age of subjects' spouses. Conclusion In this study, subjects had low scores in sexual performance while higher scores were achieved in sexual capacity and motivation. This discrepancy can be attributed to the role of sexual scripts dominating the participants’ sexual interactions in this study. We suggest gender-specific and culturally-sensitive education should become a part of women’s health programs in Iran. Keywords: Iran, Sexual Behaviors, Women

Cilj rada je monitoring suše upotrebom različitih indeksa uključujući China-Z indeks (CZI), Z-score, standardizirani oborinski indeks (SPI) i efektivni indeks suše (EDI) i usporedba indeksa u Chahrmahal- Bakhtyari oblasti u razdoblju 1980. – 2013. Drought monitoring is important for risk assessment and management, as well as for effective action to prevent and reduce the effects of drought. Drought characteristics such as intensity, duration and extent can be analyzed by 14 different drought indices. Choosing drought indices should be based on available data and its quality and ability of the index to de- termine spatial and temporal characteristics of drought. The objective of the present study is drought monitoring by different indices, including China-Z index (CZI), Z-score, Standard- ized precipitation index (SPI) and Effective drought index (EDI) indices, and comparing the performance of drought indices in the Chaharmahal-Bakhtiyari province, duration 1980- 2013.Results showed that SPI and CZI, Z-score have the strong relationships, particularly dur- ing normal years. Furthermore, the results of frequency analysis showed that the drought oc- currence of during 1998- 2012 have been increased compared to 1983- 1998 period. CZI showed a similar behavior to the SPI, especially in normal and dry condition and EDI and Z- score showed similar results. Finally, the results of the present study showed that EDI index is more sensitive to detect the onset of drought, compared to other indices

Background: Designing a valid and reliable questionnaire that allows a fair evaluation of sexual knowledge and attitudes and develop a proper sexual educational program is necessary. Objective: The present study was designed to develop and psychometric evaluation of the sexual knowledge and attitudes scale for premarital couples. Materials and Methods: An exploratory mixed method study was conducted in two phases; in the first, in order to develop a questionnaire an item pool was generated on sexual knowledge and attitudes through focus group discussions and individual interviews. In the second phase, the psychometric properties of the questionnaire were examined. For this purpose, face validity, content validity as well as construct validity were conducted. Reliability was assessed by the Cronbachs alpha coefficient to assess internal consistency and test-retest reliability. Results: In the first phase an item pool with 88 questions was generated (sexual knowledge 45 items and sexual attitudes 43 items). In the second phase, the number of final items reduced to 33 and 34 items of sexual knowledge and sexual attitudes respectively, through exploratory factor analysis (EFA). Five factors for sexual knowledge and six factors for sexual attitudes identified by EFA. The Cronbachs alpha coefficient for two sections was 0.84 and 0.81 respectively. The test- retest correlations for sexual knowledge and sexual attitude was 0.74 and 0.82 respectively. Conclusion: The findings suggest that the Sexual Knowledge and Attitudes Scale for Premarital Couples is a valid and reliable instrument. Further studies are needed to establish stronger psychometric properties for the questionnaire. © 2018, Research and Clinical Center for Infertitlity. All rights reserved

Wastes from olive oil and wine industries (as exhausted grape marc, vineshoot trimmings, two-phase olive mill waste, vinasses, and olive mill wastewater) were evaluated for lignocellulolytic enzyme production (as endocellulases, endoxylanases, and feruloyl esterases) by solid-state fermentation (SSF) with Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus ibericus, and Aspergillus uvarum. To study the effect of different solid medium composition and time in enzyme production, a PlackettBurman experimental design was used. Variables that had a higher positive effect in lignocellulolytic enzyme production were urea, time, and exhausted grape marc. The maximum values of enzymatic activity per unit of substrate dry mass were found with A. niger for feruloyl esterase. Enzymatic extracts from SSF with A. niger achieved maximum feruloyl esterase activity (89.53 U/g) and endoxylanase activity (3.06 U/g) and with A. uvarum for endocellulase activity (6.77 U/g). The enzyme cocktails obtained in the SSF extracts may have applications in biorefinery industries.Jose Manuel Salgado is grateful for the postdoctoral fellowship (EX-2010-0402) of the Education Ministry of Spanish Government. The synthesis and characterization of five [Cu(P^P)(N^N)][PF6] complexes in which P^P = 2,7-bis(tert-butyl)-4,5-bis(diphenylphosphino)-9,9-dimethylxanthene (tBu2xantphos) or the chiral 4,5-bis(mesitylphenylphosphino)-9,9-dimethylxanthene (xantphosMes2) and N^N = 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy), 6-methyl-2,2'-bipyridine (6-Mebpy) or 6,6'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine (6,6'-Me2bpy) are reported. Single crystal structures of four of the compounds confirm that the copper(I) centre is in a distorted tetrahedral environment. In [Cu(xantphosMes2)(6-Mebpy)][PF6], the 6-Mebpy unit is disordered over two equally populated orientations and this disorder parallels a combination of two dynamic processes which we propose for [Cu(xantphosMes2)(N^N)]+ cations in solution. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations reveal that the energy difference between the two conformers observed in the solid-state structure of [Cu(xantphosMes2)(6-Mebpy)][PF6] differ in energy by only 0.28 kcal mol‒1. Upon excitation into the MLCT region (λexc = 365 nm), the [Cu(P^P)(N^N)][PF6] compounds are yellow to orange emitters. Increasing the number of Me groups in the bpy unit shifts the emission to higher energies, and moves the Cu+/Cu2+ oxidation to higher potentials. Photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs) of the compounds are low in solution, but in the solid state, PLQYs of up to 59% (for [Cu(tBu2xantphos)(6,6'-Me2bpy)]+) are observed. Greatly increased excited-state lifetimes at low temperature are consistent with the complexes exhibiting thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF). This is supported by the small energy difference calculated between the lowest-energy singlet and triplet excited states (0.17-0.25 eV). The compounds were tested in simple bilayer light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs). The optoelectronic performances of complexes containing xantphosMes2 were generally lower with respect to those with tBu2-xantphos, which led to bright and efficient devices. The best performing LECs were obtained for the complex [Cu(tBu2xantphos)(6,6'-Me2bpy)][PF6] due to the increased steric hindrance at the N^N ligand resulting in higher PLQY
