    Práctica universitaria pedagógica en el semillero escolar de cuerdas típicas con énfasis en tiple y bandola para estudiantes seleccionados de grado once de la ciudad de Pereira

    El énfasis de cuerdas típicas del programa de Lic. En música de la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira ha direccionado sus objetivos hacia la creación de nuevas propuestas y proyectos que tengan como fin el fortalecimiento y la difusión de la música andina colombiana por medio de los instrumentos típicos (tiple, guitarra y bandola). Dichas propuestas se han condensado en el macro proyecto orquesta de cuerdas típicas, el cual tiene diseñado unos laboratorios de práctica instrumental en diferentes niveles: • Orquesta: Para estudiantes de semestres finales (7°, 8°, 9°, 10° semestre) • Estudiantina: estudiantes semestres intermedios (4°, 5° y 6° semestre). • Pre – estudiantina: estudiantes de semestres iniciales (1°, 2°, y 3° semestre). • Semillero juvenil: estudiantes de los colegios de bachillerato. Es por esto que surge entonces a partir del segundo período del año 2004 la iniciativa de enfocar esta visión en la creación de un proyecto nombrado “Semillero Escolar de Cuerdas Típicas U.T.P”, un proyecto que elaborado por los docentes del área de cuerdas típicas logra ser institucionalmente aprobado y acogido por la secretaría de educación. El Semillero Escolar de Cuerdas Típicas U.T.P pretende fortalecer el aprendizaje de los instrumentos típicos, tiple, bandola y guitarra, en la interpretación de la música andina colombiana. Orientado a la población de niños, niñas y jóvenes que cursan desde grado 6° hasta grado 11º en instituciones del sector oficial, busca además identificar la existencia de talentos estéticos típicos juveniles en la ciudad, y así mismo motivar a la población infantil y juvenil escolar pereirana para integrarla a un programa que estimule el desarrollo del gusto por el arte y la cultura y a su vez fortalezca la formación de valores humanos por medio de la música

    Lineamientos para entender la importancia del riesgo legal y su tratamiento, en el sistema financiero colombiano

    El presente artículo enuncia la gestión de algunos lineamientos que permiten facilitar la comprensión de la importancia del riesgo legal en las entidades del sistema financiero colombiano, tomando como base la regulación colombiana y extranjera, para así, ayudar a fortalecer las labores de las partes interesadas: la Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia, el autorregulador del mercado de valores, que es el Banco de la República, los consumidores y las entidades financieras. Se resalta la posibilidad de proponer nuevos negocios bancarios o mejorar los ya existentes, desde la óptica de los riesgos legales. Se analizó el concepto de riesgo legal y se les formuló entrevistas a funcionarios de tres entidades financieras, lo que ayudó a proponer una definición de riesgo legal, por cuanto en la actualidad no se cuenta con una que sea precisa y aplicable al sistema financiero. Se destaca la debida diligencia y la gestión de los riesgos legales, alineados con la estrategia de las entidades financieras analizadas, para finalmente, proponer un análisis de los riesgos legales de mayor importancia, debido a que en la actualidad son los que posiblemente se incumplen en alto grado.This article sets out the management of some guidelines, which facilitate the understanding of the importance of legal risk in the entities of the Colombian financial system, based on Colombian and foreign regulation, in order to help strengthen the work of the interested parties: the Financial Superintendence of Colombia, the self-regulator of the stock market, that is the Banco de la República, consumers and financial entities. The possibility of proposing new banking businesses or improving existing ones is stand out, from the perspective of legal risks. The concept of legal risk was analyzed, and interviews were conducted with officials from three financial entities, which helped to propose a definition of legal risk, since currently there is no one that is precise and applicable to the financial system. Due diligence and management of legal risks is stand out, aligned with the strategy of the financial entities analyzed, to finally propose an analysis of the most important legal risks, because at the present is possible that they are the ones that are breached in high grade

Purpose: To examine the archives' role in Portuguese public policies from 1976 to 2021, based on an analysis of decision-making and support mechanisms, as well as other legal and normative instruments (diplomas) associated with relevant policies and legal actions in government programs, major planning options, sectoral programs, and legislation. Findings: Survey results identified the presence of the archives on government agendas, and supported tracing an evolution in the development and application of measures in this area. Additionally, it was possible to relate these measures to socioeconomic and political contexts, and to previously identified reference studies. The conclusion is that the place of archives in Portuguese public policies between 1976 and 2021 was still based in historical and heritage dimensions, excluding the aspect of information management, which was not even included within the concept of archives.info:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersio

    One Shot Learning with class partitioning and cross validation voting (CP-CVV)

    Producción CientíficaOne Shot Learning includes all those techniques that make it possible to classify images using a single image per category. One of its possible applications is the identification of food products. For a grocery store, it is interesting to record a single image of each product and be able to recognise it again from other images, such as photos taken by customers. Within deep learning, Siamese neural networks are able to verify whether two images belong to the same category or not. In this paper, a new Siamese network training technique, called CP-CVV, is presented. It uses the combination of different models trained with different classes. The separation of validation classes has been done in such a way that each of the combined models is different in order to avoid overfitting with respect to the validation. Unlike normal training, the test images belong to classes that have not previously been used in training, allowing the model to work on new categories, of which only one image exists. Different backbones have been evaluated in the Siamese composition, but also the integration of multiple models with different backbones. The results show that the model improves on previous works and allows the classification problem to be solved, an additional step towards the use of Siamese networks. To the best of our knowledge, there is no existing work that has proposed integrating Siamese neural networks using a class-based validation set separation technique so as to be better at generalising for unknown classes.     Idoneidad de la Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio para ejercer su función de administrar justicia

    Con el presente artículo de reflexión se escudriñan las razones y conceptos base que dan sustento y otorgan funciones jurisdiccionales a un órgano de la Rama Ejecutiva, como es la Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio. Aquí se expone claramente que, dentro de la división de los poderes públicos, existe una necesidad de equilibro y, transversalmente, un control, además de una colaboración armónica. Se revisan las normas que regulan las funciones de la Superintendencia, teniendo en cuenta la principialística, en torno a la división tripartita de poderes, y el propio derecho vivo, expuesto en los pronunciamientos jurisprudenciales. Con ello se logra tener una certeza fundada respecto al rol que ejerce la Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio para administrar justicia, frente a temas específicos y delimitados. Se concluye que, por la necesidad de descongestión judicial, la entidad desarrolla labores jurisdiccionales de manera idónea y legal, siempre y cuando opere bajo el debido proceso y la legalidad.Universidad Libre Seccional Pereira -- Facultad de Derecho, Ciencias Políticas y Sociales -- Especialización en Derecho Procesal, Probatorio y OralidadWith this reflection article, the reasons and basic concepts that support and grant jurisdictional functions to an organ of the executive branch, such as the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce, are scrutinized. Here it is clearly stated that, within the division of public powers, exist a need for balance and, transversely, a control, in addition to harmonious collaboration. The rules that regulate the functions of the Superintendency are reviewed, and taking into account the principle, around of tripartite division of powers, and the living law itself, exposed in the jurisprudential pronouncements. With this, it is possible to have a well-founded certainty regarding the role exercised by the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce to administer justice, in front of specific and delimited topics. It is concluded that for to the need of judicial decongestion the entity develops jurisdictionally task in a suitable and legal way

    Video Streaming Service Identification on Software-Defined Networking

    It is well known that video streaming is the major network traffic today. Futhermore, the traffic generated by video streaming is expected to increase exponentially. On the other hand, SoftwareDefined Networking (SDN) has been considered a viable solution to cope with the complexity and increasing network traffic due to its centralised control and programmability features. These features, however, do not guarantee that network performance will not suffer as traffic grows. As result, understanding video traffic and optimising video traffic can aid in control various aspects of network performance, such as bandwidth utilisation, dynamic routing, and Quality of Service (QoS). This paper presents an approach to identify video streaming traffic in SDN and investigates the feasibility of using Knowledge-Defined Networking (KDN) in traffic classification. KDN is a networking paradigm that takes advantage of Artificial Intelligence (AI) by using Machine Learning approaches, which allows integrating behavioural models to detect patterns, like video streaming traffic identification, in SDN traffic. In our initial proof-of-concept, we derive the relevant information of network traffic in the form of flows statistics. Then, we used such information to train six ML models that can classify network traffic into three types, Video on Demand (VoD), Livestream, and no-video traffic. Our proof-of-concept demonstrates that our approach is applicable and that we can identify and classify video streaming traffic with 97.5% accuracy using the Decision Tree model

    Forecasting store foot traffic using facial recognition, time series and support vector machines

    In this paper, we explore data collected in a pilot project that used a digital camera and facial recognition to detect foot traffic to a sports store. Using a time series approach, we model daily incoming store traffic under three classes (all faces, female, male) and compare six forecasting approaches, including Holt-Winters (HW), a Support Vector Machine (SVM) and a HW-SVM hybrid that includes other data features (e.g., weather conditions). Several experiments were held, under a robust rolling windows scheme that considers up to one week ahead predictions and two metrics (predictive error and estimated store benefit). Overall, competitive results were achieved by the SVM (all faces), HW (female) and HW-SVM (male) methods, which can potentially lead to valuable gains (e.g., enhancing store marketing or human resource management).This work has been supported by COMPETE: POCI-01-0145-FEDER-007043 and FCT - Fundacao para a Ciencia e Tecnologia within the Project Scope: UID/CEC/00319/2013

    Low toxicity deep eutectic solvent-based ferrofluid for the determination of UV filters in environmental waters by stir bar dispersive liquid microextraction.

    [EN] In this work, a low toxicity deep eutectic solvent-based ferrofluid is presented for the first time as magnetic fluid to be used as an efficient solvent in liquid-based microextraction techniques. This ferrofluid is made of a hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent, composed by menthol and thymol in a 1:5 molar ratio as carrier solvent, and oleic acid-coated cobalt ferrite (CoFe2O4@oleic acid) magnetic nanoparticles. This material was characterized via magnetism measurement, scanning electron microscopy, infrared spectroscopy and density measurement. The determination of UV filters in environmental water samples was selected as model analytical application to test the extraction performance of this new ferrofluid by employing stir bar dispersive liquid microextraction, prior to liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry analysis. The response surface methodology was used as a multivariate optimization method for extraction step. Under the optimized conditions, good analytical features were obtained, such as low limits of detection between 7 and 83ngL-1, good repeatability (relative standard deviations, RSD (%) below 15%), enrichment factors between 46 and 101 and relative recoveries between 80 and 117%, proving the good extraction capability of this ferrofluid. Finally, the method was successfully applied to three environmental waters (beach and river waters), finding trace amounts of the target UV filters.     Metodología del diseño y modelado de un accionamiento mecánico

    This work presents a methodology for the design andmodeling of a mechanical drive for a jackhammer and a beltconveyor. Initially it is described the different systems of powertransmission of which this is composed, giving a perspective of thetransforming means movements. Subsequently the electric motorselection is made and the equations are show for calculating fordifferent steps (belt transmissions, chain sprockets and wheels).The results or parameters obtained must be standardized usingcommercial catalogs to then reach a possible construction of thedrive. Finally the assembly drawings and the exploded views of theelements that compose the system are made in a software ofmodeling 3D.Este trabajo presenta una metodología del diseño y el modelado de un accionamiento mecánico para un martillo neumático y un transportador de banda. Inicialmente se describen los diferentes sistemas de transmisión de potencia de los cuales éste se compone, dando una perspectiva de los medios de transformación de movimiento. Posteriormente se realiza la selección del motor eléctrico y se muestran las ecuaciones para el cálculo para los diferentes escalones (transmisiones por correa, ruedas dentadas y por cadena).Los resultados o parámetros obtenidos se deben normalizar utilizando catálogos comerciales para después llegar a una posible construcción del accionamiento. Finalmente se realizan los planos de  conjunto y el plano de despiece de los elementos que componen el sistema en un software de modelado 3D
