Privacy-Preserving Reengineering of Model-View-Controller Application Architectures Using Linked Data

When a legacy system’s software architecture cannot be redesigned, implementing additional privacy requirements is often complex, unreliable and costly to maintain. This paper presents a privacy-by-design approach to reengineer web applications as linked data-enabled and implement access control and privacy preservation properties. The method is based on the knowledge of the application architecture, which for the Web of data is commonly designed on the basis of a model-view-controller pattern. Whereas wrapping techniques commonly used to link data of web applications duplicate the security source code, the new approach allows for the controlled disclosure of an application’s data, while preserving non-functional properties such as privacy preservation. The solution has been implemented and compared with existing linked data frameworks in terms of reliability, maintainability and complexity

Professional knowledge about the cultural heritage that have build students in initial teacher train- ing and the knowledge that the school achieved students on cultural heritage are two dimensions that organize the Cultural Heritage Didactics. The initial training programme, which is taught in Early Childhood Education Degree and Master's Degree in Secondary Education, involves a cur- riculum development for the construction of both types of knowledge whose educational purpose is criticism and citizen

The infantile museum. An offer of awareness of the cultural heritage in the initial formation of the professorship

This degree work pretends to make visible the dynamic of meanings and experiences construction of homosexuality in young people. To carry this out, some semi-structured interviews were made to 4 youngsters, to a heterosexual woman, to a heterosexual man, to a lesbian woman and to a homosexual man, trying to notice the way they have changed concepts about homosexuality, dilemmas and tensions around the topic, gender socialization and the way on which they comprehend it and exert different recognition practices and discrimination. In this way, gender regularization approaches made by Judith Butler and regularization mechanisms proposed by Michel Foucault from several speeches which pretend regulate people s sexuality, were addressed.Psicólogo (a)Pregrad

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the impacts of the care to the population displaced by violence on the health system and the challenges that this entails. METHODS: This is a narrative review of the national and international literature in PubMed, SciELO, WHO/PAHO, and Bireme. Inclusion criteria were date of publication ( from 2000), relation with the subject, and language (Spanish or English). We found 292 documents, of which 91 met the inclusion criteria. RESULTS: The main challenges are the intersectoral, participatory, and integral approach (with emphasis on mental health and sexual and reproductive health), ensured accessibility to health services, the need for a reliable registration and information system of the population displaced by violence and its characteristics, and the addressing of the biopsychosocial problems of the different groups, especially women, persons with disabilities or infectious diseases, adolescents, children, ethnic minorities, older adults and the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, and intersexual population. CONCLUSIONS: The lack of political will to accept and see the internal displacement by violence and its importance as a humanitarian and public health problem is an obstacle to the adequate and timely care of the population displaced by violence in Mexico

Is There an Estimation Bias in Occupational Health and Safety Surveys? The Mode of Administration and Informants as a Source of Error

    Get PDF
Information quality deficiencies have been detected in occupational safety and health surveys in Europe, which typically gather self-reported data responded by employers or their representatives. For instance, their low response rates and informant profiles make estimations on establishments with safety representatives (SRs) unreliable. We tested the mode of administration and informants as sources of error regarding establishments with SRs in Catalonia, Spain. Two sources of information were compared: the Second Catalan Survey of Working Conditions 2011 (IICSWC) with a methodology similar to surveys conducted at the state and European level and the Progam on Prevention of Risks Management in Companies (PPRMC) in which the labor authority collected data using a documentary verification in another sample of establishments. Percentage of establishments with SRs was estimated using the data from the PPRMC and also the differences in percentage between sources and informant profiles (with 95 percent confidence interval). Results show that the IICSWC overestimates the percentage of establishments with SRs
