    Electrochemical determination of an antitumour platinum(IV) complex: trans-[PtCl2(OH)2(dimethylamine)(isopro­pylamine)]. Application to biological samples

    A differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) method has been applied for the first time for determination of trans-Pt[Cl2(OH)2(dimethylamine)(isopropylamine)]. To this end, all chemical and instrumental variables affecting the determination of trans-Pt[Cl2(OH)2(dimethylamine)(isopropylamine)] were optimized. From studies of the mechanisms governing the electrochemical response of trans-Pt[Cl2(OH)2(dimethylamine)(isopropylamine)], it was concluded that it is an electrochemically irreversible system with a reduc­tion under diffusion control, with a reduction potential of -425 mV. Under optimal conditions, the variation in the analytical signal (Ip) with trans-Pt[Cl2(OH)2(dimethylamine)(isopropylamine)] concentration is linear in the 0.8 µg mL-1 to 20 µg mL-1 range, with an LOD of 97 ng mL-1 and a LOQ of 323 ng mL-1, RSD = 1.58 % and Er = 0.83 %.     La reacción de Diels-Alder ha sido ampliamente analizada tanto desde el punto de vista teórico como experimental debido a su gran importancia en la química orgánica. Del mismo modo, la reacción de hetero Diels-Alder entre vinilalenos y aldehídos se ha estudiado en profundidad, y se ha podido confirmar a partir de cálculos computacionales que se trata de una reacción pericíclica asíncrona. No obstante, el uso de aldehídos y de vinilalenos con un sustituyente como el trialquilsililoxi, como grupo activante, no ha sido objeto de estudios computacionales. Este Trabajo de Fin de Máster se enfoca en el análisis teórico de la reacción de Hetero Diels-Alder entre un aldehído y un vinilaleno con un sustituyente activante sililoxi y del efecto de un ácido de Lewis en la reacción.The Diels-Alder reaction has been widely analyzed both theoretically and experimentally due to its great importance in organic chemistry. Similarly, hetero Diels-Alder reaction between vinylallenes and aldehydes has been studied in-depth, and it has been possible to confirm from computational calculations that it is an asynchronous pericyclic reaction. However, the use of aldehydes and vinyl-allenes with a substituent such as trialkylsilyloxy, as an activating group, has not been the subject of computational studies.     Isolation and Sequencing of Actin1, Actin2 and Tubulin1 Genes Involved in Cytoskeleton Formation in Phytophthora cinnamomi

    Oomycetes from the genus Phytophthora are fungus-like plant pathogens that are devastating for agriculture and natural ecosystems. On the Nordeste Transmontano region (northeast Portugal), the Castanea sativa chestnut culture is extremely important. The biggest productivity and yield break occurs due to the ink disease, caused by Phytophthora cinnamomi which is one of the most widely distributed Phytophthora species, with nearly 1000 host species. The knowledge about molecular mechanisms responsible for pathogenicity is an important tool in order to combat associate diseases of this pathogen. Complete open reading frames (ORFs) of act1, act2 and tub1 genes who participate in cytoskeleton formation in P. cinnamomi were achieved by high-efficiency thermal asymmetric interlaced (HE-TAIL) polymerase chain reaction (PCR). act1 gene comprises a 1128 bp ORF, encoding a deduced protein of 375 amino acids (aa) and 41,972 kDa. act2 ORF comprises 1083 bp and encodes a deduced protein of 360 aa and 40,237 kDa. tub1 has a total length of 2263 bp and encodes a 453 aa protein with a molecular weight of 49.911 kDa. Bioinformatics analyses shows that actin1 is ortholog to the act1 genes of Phytophthora infestans, Phytophthora megasperma and Phytophthora melonis; actin2 is ortholog to the act2 genes of P. infestans, Phytophthora brassicae, P. melonis and Pythium splendens and tubulin1 shows the highest orthology to P. infestans and P. capsici α-tubulin genes.     Male infertility can have different causes, one of which may be the presence of etiologic agents that cause sexually transmitted infections. Among the most important sexually transmitted infections are human papillomavirus and Chlamydia trachomatis, which are as‐ sociated with infertility in females – whether they cause infertility in men is controversial. The purpose of the chapter is to review the effect of these two pathogens on male fertility, the evidence suggests that the most important infertility effect is linked to the condition of the sperm.     Seasonal copula models for the analysis of glacier discharge at King George Island, Antarctica

    Modelling glacier discharge is an important issue in hydrology and climate research. Glaciers represent a fundamental water resource when melting of ice and snow contributes to runoff. Glaciers are also studied as natural global warming sensors. GLACKMA association has implemented one of their Pilot Experimental Catchment areas at the King George Island in the Antarctica which records values of the liquid discharge from Collins glacier. In this paper, we propose the use of time-varying copula models for analyzing the relationship between air temperature and glacier discharge, which is clearly non constant and non linear through time. A seasonal copula model is defined where both the marginal and copula parameters vary periodically along time following a seasonal dynamic. Full Bayesian inference is performed such that the marginal and copula parameters are estimated in a one single step, in contrast with the usual two-step approach. Bayesian prediction and model selection is also carried out for the proposed model such that Bayesian credible intervals can be obtained for the conditional glacier discharge given a value of the temperature at any given time point. The proposed methodology is illustrated using the GLACKMA real data where there is, in addition, a hydrological year of missing discharge data which were not possible to measure accurately due to problems in the sounding.We are very grateful to the GLACKMA association.     El presente estudio tuvo como propósito identificar que el clima organizacional afecta el desempeño laboral de los trabajadores de la Institución Carlos Salazar Romero - 2018, habiendo usado la investigación descriptiva, diseño no experimental, siendo la población la institución antes citada, donde laboran personal docentes, administrativos y de servicios, quienes constituyen las unidades de análisis, en número de 86, siendo la muestra 46; la técnica usada fue la encuesta y el instrumento el cuestionario. Entre otros resultados obtenidos, se estableció que, el clima organizacional no es adecuado, ni se orienta a cumplir los objetivos institucionales, existe un escaso reconocimiento en cuanto a la calidad del trabajo por parte de la Dirección y las remuneraciones no están en relación a la labor desempeñada.Tesi

    Análisis de los problemas de Optimización Multiperíodo sobre Redes No Determinísticas a gran escala. Se modelizan los problemas vía Análisis de Escenarios. El modelo propone una política de Optimización Robusta, a la vez que recoge la idea de no anticipatividad de las decisiones. En la modelización se usa una norma especial resultado de aplicar dos normas de forma secuencial. Todo conduce a un modelo de grandes dimensiones, llamado Modelo de Recurso Total. Los siguientes dos capítulos tratan dos tipos de representación matemática del modelo, la Formulación Compacta, que usa variables enganche entre etapas consecutivas y la Formulación Extendidda que aunque es de mayores dimensiones, pues utiliza restricciones enganche entre las etapas, su matriz de restricciones es menos densa. También se presentan los métodos de resolución empleados con ambas formulaciones. Un procedimiento que obtiene una solución básica inicial, junto el método de Sprint. Una particularización de la Descomposición de Benders, y Métodos de Punto Interior, para la primera. Mientras que con la segunda, se usan los Métodos de Punto Interior, y las técicas de Descomposición de Benders, de Dantzig-Wolfe, y Lagrangiana Aumentada. Los resultados Computacionales indican que esta última técnica es más eficiente que las otras. Además se tratan el modelo bietápico, la genralización del modelo, donde el enlace es entre varias etapas no necesariamente consecutivas y el la resolución de tres aplicaciones reale

    In the theatre scene of the 1930s in Spain, in addition to the traditional commercial theatre and the republican avant-garde of Las Misiones Pedagógicas or La Barraca, an alternative proposal emerged whose objectives went beyond the pedagogical and the artistic. Proletarian, or political theatre, linked to European theatrical avant-garde with Soviet roots, was inspired by the principles of Bertolt Brecht and Erwin Piscator. They proposed, from a Marxist perspective, class struggle as means to achieve an alternative socialist model. The theatre company Nosotros, directed by Peruvian exile César Falcón, is the best example of this theatrical avant-garde.En la escena teatral de los años treinta en España, además del tradicional teatro comercial y la vanguardia republicana de Las Misiones Pedagógicas o La Barraca, surgió una propuesta alternativa cuyos objetivos fueron más allá de lo pedagógico y lo artístico. El teatro proletario, o político, heredero de la vanguardia teatral europea de raíz soviética, se inspiró en los principios de Bertold Brecht y Edwin Piscator que proponían, desde una óptica marxista, la lucha de clases que permitiese alcanzar un modelo alternativo socialista.
