Auswirkungen der Corona-Krise auf betriebliche Transformationsprozesse in produzierenden Unternehmen: Begleitforschung zur Arbeitsweltberichterstattung im Auftrag des BMAS, Bd. 2

Vor dem Hintergrund der weitreichenden staatlichen Eingriffe zur Eindämmung des Coronavirus seit dem Frühjahr 2020 fragt die vorliegende Studie, wie sich diese Maßnahmen auf betriebliche Transformationsprozesse bei produzierenden Unternehmen auswirkten. Fünf Fallstudien produzierender Unternehmen unterschiedlicher Größen und Branchen liefern dabei qualitative Einblicke in die betrieblichen Umgangsweisen mit der Krise und diskutieren die Auswirkungen der Krise auf laufende Transformationsprozesse. Im Fall des kleinsten Unternehmens für Oberflächenveredelungen stoppte die Krise die Transformation betrieblicher Innovationsprozesse abrupt (Fall A). Im Fall eines weltweit führenden Spezialisten für Sensortechniken hatte die Krise kaum Auswirkungen auf dessen laufende Vorbereitungen für industrielle Transformationen (Fall B). Im Fall eines traditionellen Lieferanten hochwertiger Komponenten bremste die Corona-Krise die avisierte digitale Transformation (Fall C). Im Fall eines innovativen Unternehmens der Medizintechnikbranche verlangsamte sich dessen starkes Wachstum aufgrund der Corona-Pandemie (Fall D). Im letzten Fall eines großen Lieferanten und Produzenten für Bahntechniken beschleunigte die Krise eher den seit Jahrzehnten laufenden Transformationsprozess des Unternehmens (Fall E). Die Untersuchung liefert außerdem Einschätzungen, wie produzierende Unternehmen bei der Krisenbewältigung zukünftig besser unterstützt werden können.Against the backdrop of far-reaching state interventions to contain the Corona virus since the early 2020s, this study asks how these measures have affected transformation processes in manufacturing companies. Five case studies of producing firms of different sizes and from different industries provide qualitative insights into how businesses have dealt with the crisis, discussing the impact of the crisis on ongoing transformation processes. In the case of the smallest company in the sample (case A), the crisis abruptly halted the transformation of its innovation processes. In the case of a world-leading sensor technology specialist (case B), the crisis had little impact on its ongoing preparations for industrial transformation. In the case of a traditional supplier of high-quality components (case C), the Corona crisis slowed down the process of digital transformation. In the case of an innovative company in the medical technology sector (case D), its rapid growth was decelerated due to the Corona crisis. In the last case of a large developer and producer of railway technologies (case E), the crisis accelerated the company's ongoing transformation in terms of new digital products, work processes and management styles. The study also provides an assessment of how manufacturing companies can be better supported in overcoming the crisis

Sol-Gel Synthesis of Ceria-Zirconia-Based High-Entropy Oxides as High-Promotion Catalysts for the Synthesis of 1,2-Diketones from Aldehyde

Efficient Lewis-acid-catalyzed direct conversion of aldehydes to 1,2-diketones in the liquid phase was enabled by using newly designed and developed ceria–zirconia-based high-entropy oxides (HEOs) as the actual catalysts. The synergistic effect of various cations incorporated in the same oxide structure (framework) was partially responsible for the efficiency of multicationic materials compared to the corresponding single-cation oxide forms. Furthermore, a clear, linear relationship between the Lewis acidity and the catalytic activity of the HEOs was observed. Due to the developed strategy, exclusively diketone-selective, recyclable, versatile heterogeneous catalytic transformation of aldehydes can be realized under mild reaction conditions

Atomic layer deposition of titanium oxide films on As-synthesized magnetic Ni particles : Magnetic and safety properties

Spherical nickel particles with size in the range of 100-400 nm were synthesized by non-aqueous liquid phase benzyl alcohol method. Being developed for magnetically guided biomedical applications, the particles were coated by conformal and antimicrobial thin titanium oxide films by atomic layer deposition. The particles retained their size and crystal structure after the deposition of oxide films. The sensitivity of the coated particles to external magnetic fields was increased compared to that of the uncoated powder. Preliminary toxicological investigations on microbial cells and small aquatic crustaceans revealed non-toxic nature of the synthesized particles.Peer reviewe

Genusanalys av två kvinnliga karaktärer i fantasyserien Game of Thrones : "Fantasy is hardly an escape from reality. It's a way of understanding it." (Lloyd Alexander)

Denna uppsats analyserar hur genus gestaltas i fantasyserien Game of Thrones. Analysen är baserad på två kvinnliga gestalters skildringar i den första säsongen av teveserien. De två valda karaktärerna, Daenerys Targaryen och Arya Stark, analyseras och jämförs med Yvonne Hirdmans genuskontraktsteori och Paulina de los Reyes och Nina Lykkes intersektionalitets begrepp men även med Maria Nikolajevas schema om hur manligt och kvinnligt gestaltas i litterära texter. Resultatet visar att det förekommer en genuskontraktspakt i karaktärsskildringarna men också att maktpositionerna mellan manliga och kvinnliga karaktärerna beror på andra intersektionella kategorier än enbart kön. Undersökningens resultat tyder även på att Daenerys och Aryas karaktärer bryter mot de stereotypa skildringarna i Nikolajevas schema. Orsaken kan vara att genuskontraktet finns djupt inpräntat i våra samhällsnormer om hur manligt och kvinnligt bör vara. Mannen förväntas vara den starka och beskyddande medan kvinnan förväntas vara den svaga och omhändertagna. En annan anledning till att stereotyperna är svåra att bryta kan vara författarnas rädsla att läsarna inte kommer att kunna identifiera sig med karaktärerna
