Resilience and individual competitive productivity: the role of age in the tourism industry

This study evaluates the conceptual and metrical correspondence between the construct measurements of the individual Competitive Productivity model and the scale that measures individual resilience in tourism. An individual work resilience scale was adapted to the context of the tourism industry. Scale items were operationalised on an online survey (n = 425) with tourism professionals and students. The role of age as an influence variable on individual resilience levels was explored. The results point to correspondences between the scale designed to measure personal resilience and the construct that identifies the ICP components. Una propuesta flexible para acompañar las trayectorias de nuestros estudiantes

Objetivos de la propuesta: Ofrecer una opción pedagógica semipresencial a personas mayores de 18 años sin título secundario completo, que por razones de distinta índole no puedan asistir diariamente al CENS, garantizando la democratización de la enseñanza a partir de una oferta flexible. Alternativas de aloxamento turístico na provincia de Ourense: análise da evolución recente da oferta e dos novos patróns de conduta da demanda nun contexto de irrupción do fenómeno das vivendas de uso turístico

Da mesma maneira que os servizos de aloxamento poden considerarse un dos trazos distintivos da actividade turística, a competitividade de calquera destino depende, en boa medida, do seu mercado de aloxamento. No presente traballo faise, a partir das fontes secundarias dispoñibles, un diagnóstico do mercado de aloxamento turístico da provincia de Ourense, nas súas vertentes de oferta e de demanda, con especial atención ás vivendas de uso turístico comercializadas a través das plataformas P2P. Ademais, segundo os datos obtidos mediante unha enquisa en liña a turistas, afóndase nas preferencias e nas eleccións de aloxamento dos e das turistas e, en particular, na súa percepción das vivendas de uso turístico. A análise realizada permite comprobar, entre outras cousas, como a oferta de aloxamento evolucionou e se diversificou nos últimos anos en Ourense, especialmente coa proliferación de vivendas de uso turístico, ou a desigual distribución comarcal dos distintos tipos de aloxamento. No caso da demanda, os datos reflicten o efecto negativo da crise económica iniciada en 2008 e o impacto moi negativo da pandemia sobre os fluxos de visitantes e noites nos establecementos da provincia. Así mesmo, verifícase que a densidade e a penetración turística da provincia son as máis baixas das catro provincias galegas. Por outra banda, maniféstase a importancia que teñen factores como o prezo, a localización, a liberdade de horarios e de movementos ou a facilidade á hora de reservar na elección do tipo de aloxamento. Ademais, confírmase que as vivendas de uso turístico son unha alternativa de aloxamento moi utilizada e valorada e que, fronte ao aloxamento hoteleiro tradicional, é unha opción preferible para viaxar en familia ou con amizades. En definitiva, o traballo bota luz sobre importantes aspectos relativos ao mercado de aloxamento, que poden axudar a que os axentes turísticos da provincia melloren a súa toma de decisións

Conductance and application of organic molecule pairs as nanofuses

We propose that a pair of organic molecules can mimic the behavior of a macroscopic fuse at nanoscale, one component of the pair being the on state and the other the off state. For this task wemake use of density-functional theory to calculate the physical properties of selected molecules, which have also been synthesized by our team. By this means we obtain the transmission spectra and the current of the proposed devices, which allows us to compare the behavior of the on and off states.Of particular interest is the on/off switch ratios, defined as the current ratios of the on and off structures at the corresponding bias voltage. In a first stage, we examine the best linker between the device and the electrode for high on/off switch ratios. Once this is determined, we test the influence of the electron richness of the system to provide a high on/off switch ratio. The entire analysis is also supported by the molecular projected self-consistent Hamiltonian, which provides a good way of understanding the molecular behavior. Two-dimensional carbon-based conductive materials with dynamically controlled asymmetric Dirac cones

The design of two dimensional graphene-type materials with an anisotropic electron flow direction in the X- and Y-axes opens the door for the development of novel electronic materials with multiple functions in nanoelectronics. In the present work, we have studied the electronic transport properties of a new family of 2D graphene-graphyne hybrids presenting conformationally free phenylethylene subunits. This system ensures two different conductive pathways that are perpendicular to each other: an acene nanoribbon subunit, in the X-axis, with graphene-type conduction, and a free to rotate phenylethylene subunit, in the Y-axis, in which the magnitude of the conduction depends dynamically on the corresponding torsion angle. Our calculations have confirmed that this system presents two different conduction pathways, which are related to the presence of asymmetric Dirac-type cones. ¿Te animas a leer? Una experiencia de animación a la lectura en Educación Primaria

El fi principal d’aquesta proposta didàctica és promoure una forma d’educar en el gust per la lectura, coneguda com animació a la lectura. Comcretament, s’utilitza el mètode de Montserrat Sarto (Sarto, 1984, 1998), basat en tres objectius: apropar els joves a lectures que puguin comprendre, procurar que els estudiants gaudeixin amb la lectura i fomentar la reflexió sobre el que s’ha llegit. En aquesta línia, s’elabora una programació d’animació a la lectura dirigida a l’alumnat de sisè curs d’Educació Primària d’un centre educatiu de Segòvia. Aquesta proposta s’elabora a partir de les estratègies extretes de publicacions de referència (Sarto, 1984, 1998). Com a resultat, els participants d’aquesta experiència puntual, a més de mostrar interès per la lectura, han manifestat ganes per a millorar la seva comprensió lectora i per continuar aprenent amb aquest mètode. En conclusió, s’ha aconseguit el principal, a més dels tres objectius que proposa el mètode d’animació utilitzat, cosa que posa de manifest que la proposta atrau l’atenció dels joves, promovent un apropament positiu a la lectura.The main aim of this didactic proposal is to show a method to educate reading comprehension among children, also known as motivation to reading. This is achieved using the Montserrat Sarto’s method (Sarto, 1984, 1998), which established three objectives: approach children to readings that they can understand, promote reading enjoyment, and encourage self-reflection about what they have read. In this line, we prepared a motivation to reading experience for the sixth course of Primary Education in a state-funded school from Segovia. The reading motivation was implemented from strategies extracted from the method previously mentioned (Sarto, 1984, 1998). As a result, we observed that the participants of this specific experience showed more interest in improving their reading comprehension and wanted to continue learning with the method mentioned. In conclusion, the main aim was achieved in addition to the three objectives proposed by the animation method used, which shows that the proposal has a positive in uence in grabbing the students’ attention, thus promoting a positive approach to reading.El fin principal de esta propuesta didáctica es dar a conocer una forma de educar en el gusto por la lectura, conocida como animación a la lectura. En concreto, se emplea el método de Montserrat Sarto (Sarto, 1984, 1998), basado en tres objetivos: acercar a los jóvenes lecturas que puedan comprender, procurar que los estudiantes disfruten con la lectura y fomentar la reflexión sobre lo leído. En esta línea, se elabora una programación de animación a la lectura dirigida al alumnado de sexto curso de Educación Primaria de un centro educativo de Segovia. Dicha programación se elabora a partir de las estrategias extraídas de publicaciones de referencia (Sarto, 1984, 1998). Como resultado, se observa: que los participantes han realizado la lectura, a pesar de no ser una actividad obligatoria; que se han emocionado con la misma y estaban interesados en profundizar en su comprensión, así como que estos han manifestado interés por continuar con el método. En conclusión, se ha logrado cumplir el fin principal, además de los tres objetivos que propone el método de animación empleado, lo cual pone de manifiesto que la propuesta atrae rápidamente la atención de los jóvenes promoviendo un acercamiento positivo a la lectura

Novel variant in HHAT as a cause of different sex development with partial gonadal dysgenesis associated with microcephaly, eye defects, and distal phalangeal hypoplasia of both thumbs: Case report

Different sexual development; Minigene studiesDesarrollo sexual diferente; Estudios de minigenesDesenvolupament sexual diferent; Estudis minigènicsThe palmitoylation of the Hedgehog (Hh) family of morphogens, named sonic hedgehog (SHH), desert hedgehog (DHH), and Indian hedgehog (IHH), is crucial for effective short- and long-range signaling. The hedgehog acyltransferase (HHAT) attaches the palmitate molecule to the Hh; therefore, variants in HHAT cause a broad spectrum of phenotypes. A missense HHAT novel variant c.1001T>A/p.(Met334Lys) was described in a patient first referred for a 46,XY different sexual development with partial gonadal dysgenesis but with microcephaly, eye defects, and distal phalangeal hypoplasia of both thumbs. The in silico analysis of the variant predicted an affectation of the nearest splicing site. Thus, in vitro minigene studies were carried out, which demonstrated that the variant does not affect the splicing. Subsequent protein in silico studies supported the pathogenicity of the variant, and, in conclusion, this was considered the cause of the patient’s phenotype.This study was partly supported by a grant from the Fondo de Investigación Sanitaria (PI15/01647 [to MF-C and SB-S])

Diagnóstico do nivel de congruencia na oferta enoturística da provincia de Ourense

O presente traballo pretende diagnosticar o nivel de desenvolvemento na oferta do enoturismo na provincia de Ourense. Para iso, en primeiro lugar, e co fn de contextualizar o tema, lévase a cabo unha revisión teórica da unión do turismo e do viño, e a tipoloxía turística do enoturismo. A continuación, defínense e caracterízanse os principais aspectos da oferta enoturística provincial actual. Como parte empírica do traballo analízase o grao de explotación e de desenvolvemento deste potencial na actualidade. Para tal fn realízase unha análise cualitativa vía entrevistas en profundidade semiestruturadas a persoas expertas, técnicas e adegueiras da provincia de Ourense. Tamén se establece o nivel de coordinación e de cooperación existente entre os axentes públicos e privados, promoción e posicionamento estratéxico desta modalidade turística e da oferta complementaria requirida polos e polas enoturistas: gastronomía, cultura, tradicións. Finalmente, proponse unha matriz DAFO onde se diagnostica a situación do enoturismo na provincia a través das debilidades, ameazas, fortalezas e oportunidades que operan sobre unha futura actuación estratéxic

En el presente trabajo, se busca formular un modelo de negocio para su implementación. Dicho modelo de negocio debe lograr cubrir una necesidad insatisfecha del público objetivo. Una vez encontrada la necesidad, se propone una alternativa de solución para la que hemos realizado múltiples experimentos con el objetivo de validar que la propuesta genera valor en el mercado. Por lo cual, hemos entrevistado a diversos usuarios y ejecutados experimentos de validación, obteniendo información necesaria para ir mejorando nuestra propuesta en función de los gustos y preferencias de nuestros potenciales clientes. Como resultado, hemos obtenido un aplicativo que logra brindar información relevante a partir de experiencias de otros usuarios, y de esta forma brindar al cliente un buen lugar gastronómico evitando malas experiencias y ahorro. También, se realizó un plan del concierge y simulación de las ventas, mediante el cual se validó la intención de compra del usuario. Esto llevado a cabo mediante 4 experimentos de marketing en redes sociales donde se pudo determinar el alcance de nuestra idea de negocio, la interacción del público con el contenido y el porcentaje de clientes que están dispuestos a acceder a una suscripción premium de nuestro proyecto. Finalmente se hizo un plan financiero, donde se hizo la proyección de las ventas para 3 años y se estableció el financiamiento adecuado para la idea de negocio. Lo que resulto que ADONDE COMER.PE es un negocio innovador y viable porque significara mayores ganancias que perdidas en un futuro.In the present work, we seek to formulate a business model for its implementation. Said business model must manage to cover an unsatisfied need of the public objective. Once the need is found, a solution is proposed for which we have carried out multiple experiments with the aim of validating that the proposal generates value in the market. For this reason, we have interviewed various users and carried out validation experiments, obtaining the necessary information to improve our proposal based on the tastes and preferences of our potential clients. As a result, we have obtained an application that manages to provide relevant information based on the experiences of other users, and thus provide the customer with a good gastronomic place, avoiding bad experiences and saving. Also, a concierge plan and sales simulation were carried out, through which the user's purchase intention was validated. This was carried out through 4 social media marketing experiments where it was possible to determine the scope of our business idea, the interaction of the public with the content and the percentage of clients who are willing to access a premium subscription of our project. Finally, a financial plan was made, where the sales projection was made for 3 years and the adequate financing for the business idea was established. As a result, ADONDE COMER.PE is an innovative and viable business because it will mean greater profits than losses in the future.Trabajo de investigació
