    This research contains about how tax holiday as one of the tax incentives used by the Indonesian government to attract investment Ease of Doing Business index (EoDB)  released by the World Bank. Tax holiday is expected to be able to provide a positive signal to investors that Indonesia is the right country to invest in. In this paper it was found that tax holidays are not capable of attracting investment alone, but other factors are needed in order for tax holidays to be successful in attracting investment. Penelitian ini berisi tentang bagaimana tax holiday sebagai salah satu insentif pajak yang digunakan oleh pemerintah Indonesia untuk menarik investasi Karena pajak merupakan salah satu yang menjadi perhitungan dalam indeks kemudahan bisnis yang dirilis oleh Bank Dunia. Tax holiday diharapkan mampu memberikan sinyal positif kepada para investor bahwa Indonesia adalah negara yang tepat untuk berinvestasi. Dalam penelitian ini dtemukan bahwa tax holiday tak mampu sendirian menarik investasi, akan tetapi dibutuhkan faktor-faktor lain agar tax holiday berhasil menarik investasi

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh kebijakan harga terhadap volume penjualan pada PT. Sinar Mitra Sepadan Finance Medan. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh kebijakan harga terhadap volume penjualan di PT. Sinar Mitra Sepadan Finance Medan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan di PT. Sinar Mitra Sepadan Finance Medan yang berjumlah 94 orang, maka sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan di PT. Sinar Mitra Sepadan Finance Medan yang berjumlah 94 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan data primer. Teknik analisis yang dipergunakan adalah analisa regresi tinier sederhana dengan menggunakan Sofware SPSS for 17.00. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa Terdapat pengaruh kebijakan harga terhadap volume penjualan sebesar 74,8%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Harga memegang peranan penting dalam menjaga dan meningkatkan posisi perusahaan di pasar serta dalam meningkatkan penjualan dan keuntungan perusahaan

    Islamic Rulings and Financial Technology (Fintech): An Analysis on the Relevance and Implications

    Industrial Revolution 4.0 has produced rapid technological developments to support the ease of human activity in all lines of life. In the economic and financial fields, this development is known as financial technology, commonly known as Fintech. Like two sides of a coin, financial technology offers ease of service in transactions, time efficiency, transaction flexibility, to increase financial literacy and information technology for the public. Conversely, some of the negative impacts of this financial technology include, the increasing culture of consumerism, hedonism to the practice of new style moneylenders that determine highinterest rates for borrowers online, as well as ways of billing outside the fair range. This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis related to the role of Islamic rulings in the development of financial technology. The conclusions of this study are some of the roles of Islamic rulings in developing financial technology divided into three key aspects; first, as a preventive mechanism to avoid fraud transactions. Second, as a moral guide (ethical guidelines) to maintain that all transactions prioritize the principles of honesty and compliance with sharia principles. Third, as a means of socializing Islamic rulings (muamalah fiqh), especially in transactions that use financial technology instruments

    Decreasing groundwater quality at Cisadane riverbanks: groundwater-surface water approach

    The decreasing of groundwater quality has been the major issue in Tangerang area. One of the key process is the interaction between groundwater and Cisadane river water, which flows over volcanic deposits of Bojongmanik Fm, Genteng Fm, Tuf Banten, and Alluvial Fan. The objective of this study is to unravel such interactions based on the potentiometric mapping in the riverbank. We had 60 stop sites along the riverbank for groundwater and river water level observations, and chemical measurements (TDS, EC, temp, and pH). Three river water gauge were also analyzed to see the fluctuations. We identified three types of hydrodynamic relationships with fairly low flow gradients: effluent flow at Segmen I (Kranggan - Batuceper) with 0.2-0.25 gradient, perched flow at Segmen II (Batuceper-Kalibaru) with gradient 0.2-0.25, and influent flow at Segmen III (Kalibaru-Tanjungburung) with gradient 0.15-0.20. Such low flow gradient is controlled by the moderate to low morphological slope in the area. The gaining and losing stream model were also supported by the river water fluctuation data. TDS and EC readings increased more than 40%\% from upstream to downstream. At some points the both measurements were two times higher than the permissible limits, along with the drops of pH values at those areas. This study shows the very close interaction between Cisadane river water and groundwater in the riverbank. Therefore the authorities need to be managed the areas with a very strict regulations related to the small and large scale industries located near by the river.Comment: 8 pages, 6 figures, have been presented in Asian Physics Symposium in Indonesia 2015 and will be published in IOP Conference Serie

Sehingga manusia akan selalu dituntut untuk menyelesaikan masalah tersebut demi kesempurnaan teknologi yang mereka buat. Di sisi lain, kepedulian manusia terhadap lingkungan, hewan dan tumbuhan, memberikan keuntungan tersendiri bagi manusia. Banyak teknologi manusia yang dibuat berdasarkan desain dan perilaku dari hewan dan tumbuhan tersebut. Selain itu, muncul ilmu pengetahuan baru yang terinspirasi oleh perilaku hewan tersebut.     Perhitungan Biaya Manufaktur Alat Pembulat Adonan Kosmetik Dengan Sistem Putaran Eksentrik Skala Usaha Kecil Menengah

    Pengembangan teknologi adalah kunci untuk peningkatan kuantitas dan kualitas hasil produksi. Hal ini juga berlaku pada sektor Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM). Banyak UKM yang telah menerapkan teknologi pada proses produksi yang dilaksanakan. Salah satunya adalah UKM obat dan kosmetik yang mengembangkan alat pembuat adonan kosmetik dengan sistem putaran eksentrik. Sistem kerja alat ini hampir sama dengan mesin nastar bulat profood dengan type mini encrusting ME-168 with DR-138 rounding machine. Dimana adonan yang keluar dari ekstruder akan terpotong sesuai dengan dimensi yang akan dikehendaki dan hasil potongan akan dihantarkan oleh belt conveyor ke sebuah plat yang bertumpu pada 4 buah poros eksentrik yang nantinya akan membulatkan adonan yang sudah terpotong. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung total biaya yang diperlukan untuk membuat satu alat pembuat adonan kosmetik. Perhitungan dilakukan pada komponen penyusutan biaya tetap, screw, hopper, nozzle, nozzle lock, rangka, plat landasan dan plat tertutup. Selanjutnya perhitungan dilandaskan pada waktu produksi dan biaya part yang dibutuhkan. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah total biaya produksi proses pemesinan = Rp. 5.620.241,114,- dan total jumlah biaya keseluruhan, pembelian material atau komponen, non pemesinan = Rp. 7.508.450,-. Sehingga harga pokok produksi untuk pembuatan mesin “Pembulat Adonan Kosmetik dengan Sistem Putaran Eksentrik” adalah Rp. 13.128.691,114 ,- /unit

    Cijulang and its surrounding area represent as karst morphology with the cavity network development as the result of groundwater dissolution process. The research of karst hydrogeology in Cijulang area was conducted by using hydrochemical analysis and compiled with the field hydrogeological observation data to identify the hydrogeological system. Based on hydrochemical analysis data as degree of acidity (pH), partial pressure of CO2 (Pco2), and saturation index of calcite (SIkalsit) that compiled with hydrogeological characteristics shown the change of groundwater flow mechanism on the spanning of certainly elevation. Diffusion flow mechanism happened at theelevation of 110–65 masl (transition zone-1) and then changed into conduit flow mechanism at the elevation of 65–35 masl (transition zone -2) and at the elevation of 35–20 masl (zone of continuous water circulation)

    First-line antibiotic susceptibility pattern of toxigenic Corynebacterium diphtheriae in Indonesia

    Background Diphtheria has been reported as an outbreak in some regions in Indonesia, most especially in East Java Province. Resistance to penicillin, erythromycin, and other antibiotics, single or multiple, has been reported in several studies. This study aims to evaluate the first-line antibiotic susceptibility pattern of toxigenic Corynebacterium diphtheriae isolates. Methods This descriptive observational study was performed from August to November 2018. C. diphtheriae isolates were collected from diphtheria patients and carriers in East Java from 2012 to 2017 and kept at the Balai Besar Laboratorium Kesehatan Daerah Surabaya or the Public Health Laboratory of Surabaya. Sample selection was done by random cluster sampling. The sensitivity test by E-test®of the five antibiotics (penicillin, oxacillin, erythromycin, azithromycin, and clarithromycin) was done to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). The Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute M45A (2015) Corynebacterium spp. for penicillin and erythromycin was used as standard. Results From 114 targeted isolates, 108 were viable and toxigenic. The E-test was performed on the viable isolates. The majority of the hosts were male (58.3%), with median (range) age of 6.5 (1–14) years. Half of the samples were from the 1 to 5-year-old age group. The isolates were acquired much more from patients (78.7%) than carriers (21.3%) and from pharyngeal swab (74.1%). Most of these isolates were from Madura Island (47.2%) and the northern and eastern parts of the province (horseshoe area). Mitis isolates were the major variant (76.9%). The susceptibility pattern of C. diphtheriae to erythromycin was better than that to penicillin. The E-test result for penicillin was 68.52% susceptible, 31.48% intermediate, and 0% resistant (MIC range,  256 μg/L) was 85.2% susceptible, 12% intermediate, and 2.8% resistant The MIC range for oxacillin was 1 to 96 μg/L, while for both azithromycin and clarithromycin were  256 μg/L. Conclusion The susceptibility rate of C. diphtheriae to erythromycin is higher than that to penicillin. The regular update of antibiotic selection to the national guidelines is recommended. The MIC reference standard to azithromycin and clarithromycin is also needed
