During the past years, people’s life styles have been changing due to the new
trends adopted around the world.
Nowadays, people live faster and dedicated more time to work and the families are
smaller.
The Ecuadorians are adopting this XXI lifestyle and this provokes the consuming
habits change, and in a specific way the feeding habits.
The traditional elaboration of meals in the kitchen that requires of long time and
dedication has left behind. For that reason, food markets require of nutritious
products of quick preparation and ready to be consumed.
The present Project consist in the development of a product designed for a market

the product. The marketplace is focused in Quito’s high class institutional market.
In addition, the financial study and the legal aspect are also shown in this project.
Hoy en dÃa se vive más rápido y cada vez se le dedica más tiempo al trabajo;

Analysis of class 2 integrons as a marker for multidrug resistance among gram negative bacilli
Class 1 and 2 integrons are considered the paradigm of multidrug resistant (MDR) integrons. Although class 1 integrons have been found statistically associated to Enterobacteriaceae MDR isolates, this type of study has not been conducted for class 2 integrons. Escherichia coli and 3 species that were found that harbored more than 20% of class 2 integrons in clinical isolates, were selected to determine the role of intI2 as MDR marker. A total of 234 MDR/191 susceptible non-epidemiologically related isolates were analyzed. Seventy-four intI2 genes were found by PCR and sequencing. An intI2 relationship with MDR phenotypes in Acinetobacter baumannii and Enterobacter cloacae was found. No statistical association was identified with MDR E. coli and Helicobacter pylori isolates. In other words, the likelihood of finding intI2 is the same in susceptible and in MDR E. coli and H. pylori strains, suggesting a particular affinity between the mobile element Tn7 and some species. The use of intI2 as MDR marker was species-dependent, with fluctuating epidemiology at geographical and temporal gradients. The use of intI2 as MDR marker is advisable in A. baumannii, a species that can reach high frequencies of this genetic element.Fil: Rodriguez, Maria Cecilia. Is the orthodontic smile considered as aesthetic in adult patients?
Distributed under Creative Commons Licence CC-BY 4.0In the last five years, pioneer studies were carried out in the Egas Moniz University Clinic surrounding the mental representation of the smile, centred on adolescent patients wearing orthodontic appliances, emerging with the results obtained as a new form of categorizing the perfect smile: The Orthodontic Smile. The present study is qualitative and exploratory and aims to understand the importance of the self-perception (mental representation) of the smile, now with the help of a new age range - Adult Patients. The sample consists of 100 subjects in the adult phase (25–59 y), namely patients wearing orthodontic appliances who were asked to draw two percepts about the self-perception of their own smile in two distinct moments: the first drawing, corresponding to before the wear of the orthodontic appliance (M1), and the second one, corresponding to drawing their smile after undergoing the orthodontic treatment (M2). The content analysis of the 200 drawings obtained was realized through a grid of content analysis, constituted by categories and subcategories. The patients also filled out a sociodemographic questionnaire, in which they responded to four open-ended questions in relation to the mental representation of the smile. Regarding the content analysis of the narrative, we highlight the fact that a Nice Smile seems to be mostly described as a Natural Smile and Aligned, being a motive for the seeking of dental treatment, primarily aesthetic issues, followed by functional considerations. When comparing the drawings before (M1) and after (M2) the wear of orthodontic appliances, the Category Broad Smile, is set up as the smile chosen as the most aesthetic. It seems that aesthetic motives represent the motivational power for the patient in the adult phase, when they decide to look for Orthodontic treatment.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Hepatic manifestations of drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms syndrome
Drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) syndrome is a potentially life-threatening drug reaction, which can affect multiple organs. Patients with DRESS syndrome and hepatic manifestations may present alterations ranging from mild hepatitis to acute liver failure. The diagnosis might be difficult, and the management of these patients is challenging. This report analyzes a series of five cases reporting the clinical presentation, which ranged from acute hepatitis to liver failure, and discussed their treatment
The chilean tornado outbreak of may 2019: Synoptic, mesoscale, and historical contexts
In late May 2019, at least seven tornadoes were reported within a 24-h period in southern Chile (western South America, 36°–38°S), including EF1 and EF2 events causing substantial damage to infrastructure, dozens of injuries, and one fatality. Despite anecdotal evidence and chronicles of similar historical events, the threat from tornadoes in Chile was regarded with skepticism until the 2019 outbreak. Herein, we describe the synoptic-scale features instrumental in the development of these tornadic storms, including an extended southwest–northeast trough along the South Pacific, with a large postfrontal instability area. Tornadic storms appear to be embedded in a modestly unstable environment (positive convective available potential energy but less than 1,000 J kg−1) and strong low- and midlevel wind shear, with high near-surface storm-relative helicity values (close to −200 m2 s−2), clearly differing from the Great Plains tornadoes in North America (with highly unstable environments) but resembling cold-season tornadoes previously observed in the midlatitudes of North America, Australia, and Europe. Reanalyzing rainfall and lightning data from the last 10 years, we found that tornadic storms in our region occur associated with locally extreme values of both CAPE and low-level wind shear, where a combination of the two in a low-level vorticity generation parameter appears as a simple first-order discriminant between tornadic and nontornadic environments. Future research should thoroughly examine historical events worldwide to assemble a database of high-shear, low-CAPE midlatitude storms and help improve our understanding of these storms’ underlying physics.
Risk of degradation and coastal flooding hazard on geoheritage in protected areas of the semi-arid coast of Brazil
Geoconservation should be incorporated in the discussions regarding climate change impacts on geoheritage degradation, especially in coastal areas that are directly affected by extreme climate events. The geoheritage degradation risk in protected areas of the Brazilian semi-arid coast was assessed using a quantitative method. A correlation with the tidal flooding hazard predicted with the climate change scenario was also considered for the study areas. The results show that most of the geosites assessed present a high risk of degradation due, mainly, to their exposure to negligence and inadequate public management regarding their uses. All geosites located in the plain areas are exposed to the risk of flooding by rising tides, which is associated with human action and leads to worrying scenarios regarding the loss of scientific and aesthetic values. The collected data support the need to rethink geoheritage management in protected areas and the mitigation of problems that may become major threats in conjunction with global climate change. This study was partially financed by the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de NÃvel Superior–Brasil (CAPES)–Finance Code 001, Fundação de Amparo e Promoção da Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação do Rio Grande do Norte (FAPERN), Conselho Nacional para o Desenvolvimento CientÃfico e Tecnológico-Brasil (CNPq)
Aplicação da estimulação diafragmática elétrica transcutânea em indivÃduos idosos para avaliação da força muscular respiratória / Application of transcutaneous electric diaphragmatic stimulation in elderly individuals for assessment of respiratory muscular strength
