Strategies of Italian firms in Romania. Evidence from selected case studies

The aim of this paper is to analyze the internationalization of Italian firms in Romania, operating in the sectors of footwear, furniture and industrial refrigeration. After describing and quantifying the internationalization process between Veneto and Romania, we discuss for each of the sectors, the changes that occurred in the organisation of the production processes within the firms, and particularly how such processes have been fragmented. Photoinduced two-proton knockout and ground-state correlations in nuclei

A factorized and analytical form for the A($\gamma$,pp) and A(e,e$'$pp) cross section is proposed. In the suggested scheme the two-proton knockout cross sections can be directly analyzed in terms of the ground-state correlation functions. Central, spin-spin and tensor correlations are considered. In the longitudinal channel, the (e,e$'$pp) cross section is predicted to exhibit a peculiar sensitivity to ground-state correlation effects.Comment: 11 pages in REVtex with embedded psfigure

SeDiCI (Servicio de Difusión de la Creación Intelectual): un recorrido de experiencias (2003-2011)

Created in 2003, the Servicio de Difusión de la Creación Intelectual (SeDiCI) [Intellectual Creation Diffusion Service] is the institutional repository of the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP). Its goal is to give visibility to the academic works produced at this university, since free access enable more quotations and therefore, greater impact, considering that a public institution’s key role is to socialize knowledge. Webometrics has currently ranked the SeDiCI among the 10 top digital repositories in Latin America, positioned as the leading institutional repository in Argentina. Some of the main features and services offered by the portal –from its founding to today– are presented in this document.El Servicio de Difusión de la Creación Intelectual (SeDiCI) es el repositorio institucional de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP), creado en el 2003 con el objetivo de dar visibilidad a la producción académica producida en esta casa de estudios considerando que el acceso libre posibilita un mayor número de citas y por tanto un mayor impacto, atendiendo al rol fundamental de una institución pública de socializar el conocimiento. Creado en el año 2003, actualmente SeDiCI se encuentra posicionado entre los primeros 10 principales repositorios digitales de América Latina según la Webometrics, y ocupa la primera posición en Argentina como repositorio institucional. Este primer número de “CIC: Ciencia y Tecnología en la Provincia de Buenos Aires” marca un hito inicial en la difusión de las actividades de los Investigadores, Centros de Investigación y Universidades vinculadas con la CIC y sobre todo relacionados con problemáticas de interés para la Provinicia y para el país. El objetivo de la difusión de actividades de Investigación, Desarrollo, Transferencia e Innovación vinculadas con los Centros CIC y con diferentes actores del área Ciencia y Tecnología es parte de una estrategia de comunicación que busca relacionar a la CIC con la sociedad y también intercambiar conocimientos y posibles aplicaciones de los mismos entre diferentes actores del sector científico y productivo de la Provincia

Parallelization of the N-queens problem : Load unbalance analysis.

The paper presents an analysis of three parallelization structures of the N-queens problem, taking into account N processors. The focus has been set on investigating the adaptation of the architecture structure to the proposed algorithm type, so as to study the load unbalance in each case, for which two different metrics have been established.
