Gastos, conocimientos y actitudes en relación a los cuidados paliativos en una casa de salud pública de Guayaquil, 2021

El estudio del estudio fue: Evaluar los gastos, conocimientos y actitudes en relación a los cuidados paliativos en un centro de lucha contra el cáncer de Guayaquil, 2021. Esta investigación fue descriptiva transversal. De 400 enfermeros, se calculó una muestra no probabilística de 196 trabajadores. Se utilizaron datos de gastos del período 2020 y 2021. Se aplicó un cuestionario en octubre 2021 sobre conocimientos (Hasta 15 puntos) cuya escala fue nominal dicotómica, y de actitudes valoradas en escala ordinal (De 15 a 60 puntos). El cuestionario pasó la validación por cinco expertos (V de Aiken = 0,9) y la confiabilidad de consistencia interna (alfa de Cronbach > 0,8). Se encontró que el gasto sanitario de cuidados paliativos promedio anual ascendió en promedio a 18.417 USD distribuidos en personal (±70%) y dispositivos-insumos (±30%). La media de conocimientos fue de 13,11±14,55, puntos siendo la dimensión atención personal y espiritual la de menor puntaje de respuestas correctas (47,45%) con diferencias significativas. La media de actitudes fue de 48,46±21,34 puntos siendo la dimensión experiencia y valores la de menor puntaje de respuestas de actitudes positivas (2,56%) con diferencias significativas. Se concluye resultados sub-óptimos de cuidados paliativos de conocimientos en la atención y de actitudes ante la condición del paciente

Estudio de factibilidad para el sistema de generación fotovoltaica aplicada a la fundación “Children of The Andes Humanitarian”

A continuación se presenta el trabajo que contiene el estudio de factibilidad de la instalación de un sistema fotovoltaico para las instalaciones de la fundación COTAH pueda instalar el diseño debía suplir toda la demanda energética de la fundación, el diseño más viable tanto técnica como económicamente es un sistema conecta a la red con almacenamiento, la fundación cuenta con un gran espacio en sus instalaciones para poder instalar el sistema fotovoltaico, para realizar el modelamiento y observar si cumple con el requerimiento energético se utilizó Homer pro, es un software para el modelamiento de energías renovables, antes de realizar el diseño del sistema se realizó un estudio de irradiación solar tomando los datos del “Atlas Solar del Ecuador” y así consiguiendo la HSP, para realizar la estimación de carga de la fundación COTAH se utilizó tablas. Con este proyecto los representantes de la fundación esperan ser autosustentables energéticamente, además quieren inculcar en sus estudiantes el cuidado al medio ambiente, demostrándoles que se puede generar energía eléctrica a partir de generación distribuida, caso particular de este estudio, generación solar fotovoltaica. Plan de marketing para la comercialización de bicicletas de montaña

El presente informe de investigación se llevó a cabo con el objetivo de mostrar los principales resultados obtenidos luego de realizar un estudio sobre la viabilidad de un Plan de Marketing para la comercialización de Bicicletas de Montaña en el Distrito Metropolitano de Quito. En el primer capítulo, titulado “Análisis del entorno”, se lleva a cabo un estudio de los principales factores que inciden en la comercialización de bicicletas de Downhill, además de mostrar las diferentes modalidades y evolución que presenta este deporte extremo. El segundo capítulo, “Análisis del mercado”, resume las principales ideas referentes a las fuerzas competitivas de Porter, analiza la matriz FODA que tendrá el proyecto y establece las principales estrategias genéricas de Porter. En el capítulo tercero, “Segmentación e investigación de mercado”, se establece primeramente quién será la población objeto del estudio a través de un exhaustivo proceso de segmentación, para luego llevar a cabo un plan de muestreo y el análisis e interpretación de los resultados obtenidos. El cuarto capítulo “Estrategias de Marketing”, define cuáles serán las principales acciones a tomar en cuenta en el proyecto sobre Green Marketing, Comercio Electrónico, Marketing Deportivo y Marketing Mix. El quinto capítulo, titulado “Presupuesto de ventas”, determina los principales elementos económicos que no se pueden obviar a la hora de implementar un plan de comercialización, tales como los costos y gastos, la estimación de las ventas, así como el cálculo de las herramientas financieras que contribuirán a la toma de decisiones. En el sexto capítulo se establecen las conclusiones y recomendaciones del proyecto y por último, se presenta la bibliografía utilizada y los anexos

Testing the Motivational Strength of Positive and Negative Duty Arguments Regarding Global Poverty

We would also like to thank Thomas Pogge and Peter Singer for helping us develop the versions of the arguments used in Study 2 and the replication study, Jaclyn Murray for the Spanish backtranslation, and Marcus Mayorga for assistance with the statistical analyses used in the paper.Two main types of philosophical arguments have been given in support of the claim that the citizens of affluent societies have stringent moral duties to aid the global poor: "positive duty" arguments based on the notion of beneficence and "negative duty" arguments based on noninterference. Peter Singer's positive duty argument (Singer Philosophy and Public Affairs 1:229-243, Singer 1972) and Thomas Pogge's negative duty argument (Pogge 2002) are among the most prominent examples. Philosophers have made speculative claims about the relative effectiveness of these arguments in promoting attitudes and behaviors that could lead to the alleviation of poverty. In this article we present the results of two empirical studies that evaluate these claims, and suggest that both arguments have a modest effect on people's attitudes and behaviors regarding global poverty. In a replication of the second study, the negative duty argument, in particular, had a statistically significant effect on donations. We discuss the theoretical and practical significance of these results and suggest directions for further research on the role that philosophical arguments can play in engendering concern and action on pressing moral problems

Cruise P453 & P458 with R/V POSEIDON aim to conduct 3D wide-angle ocean bottom recording (OBR) data during the acquisition of 3D multichannel seismic (MCS) reflection data (D. Sawyer, Rice University & T.J. Reston, Birmingham) and to analyze and interpret a highresolution densely sampled 2D OBR wide-angle profile. The primary goal of the wide-angle data will be to provide an accurate and detailed 3D P-wave velocity model for the 3D reflection data. Particularly the densely sampled 2D profile will help to determine the degree of thinning within the crust and the degree of serpentinisation of the uppermost mantle. The collection of 3D MCS data gives the unique opportunity to obtain densely sampled water column reflection data and to analyze spatial and temporal (4D) variations of the internal wave field which will yield new understanding and insights into water mass mixing processes offshore west Iberia. Contemporaneously hydrographic data will be collected to calibrate and analyze the oceanic thermohaline structures originating from the interaction between Atlantic waters and the Mediterranean Sea Outflow

Estudio de la gestión de la relación de la COOPERATIVA AGRARIA AGROEXPORTADORA DEL NORTE con sus socios proveedores del sector banano orgánico en Sullana - Piura

En la presente investigación se estudia a la cooperativa Agroexportadora del Norte y cómo esta gestiona la relación con sus socios proveedores. Esta cooperativa cuenta con 25 socios y opera en un área dedicada al cultivo del banano orgánico en Sullana, Piura. Al ser una organización pequeña y haberse mantenido estable en este sector altamente competitivo, su estudio resulta de interés. Se busca determinar cómo la cooperativa maneja las relaciones con sus socios que son al mismo tiempo, los que le suministran el banano orgánico que es su producto de exportación. El ser socios y, por tanto, compartir la propiedad y el gobierno de la organización, se combina con una relación comercial que desarrolla cada uno de ellos, a través de la cual entregan su producto a la cooperativa para que esta reúna una oferta exportable. Así cada miembro tiene una doble condición, ser socios y ser proveedores, que se constituye en una característica particular de este tipo de organizaciones y define sus relaciones internas como sus relaciones con las otras organizaciones con las que compite y sus clientes. Para evidenciar esta dinámica, se presenta la gestión de la relación con los socios proveedores como un proceso importante dentro del conjunto de la cadena de suministro. An Experimental Study of Power Smoothing Methods to Reduce Renewable Sources Fluctuations Using Supercapacitors and Lithium-Ion Batteries

The random nature of renewable sources causes power fluctuations affecting the stability in the utility grid. This problem has motivated the development of new power smoothing techniques using supercapacitors and batteries. However, experimental studies based on multiple renewable sources (photovoltaic, wind, hydrokinetic) that demonstrate the validity of power smoothing techniques under real conditions still require further study. For this reason, this article presents a feasibility study of a renewable grid-connected system, addressing various aspects based on power quality and energy management. The first of them is related to the fluctuations produced by the stochastic characteristics of renewable sources and demand. Two power smoothing algorithms are presented (ramp rate and moving average) combining photovoltaic, wind, and hydrokinetic sources with a hybrid storage system composed of supercapacitors and lithium-ion batteries. Then, the self-consumption for an industrial load is analyzed by studying the energy flows between the hybrid renewable energy sources and the grid. The main novelty of this paper is the operability of the supercapacitor. The experimental results show that when applying the power smoothing ramp rate method, the supercapacitor operates fewer cycles with respect to the moving average method. This result is maintained by varying the capacity of the renewable sources. Moreover, by increasing the capacity of photovoltaic and wind renewable sources, the hybrid storage system requires a greater capacity only of supercapacitors, while by increasing the capacity of hydrokinetic turbines, the battery requirement increases considerably.
