    No full text
International audienceThe thinking launched since the creation of "Catalyse" tools led in 2008 to the necessity of integrating the tools of quantitative, qualitative and spatial analysis in an information system managing the contents from data collection to results publishing according to actor's use. Within the framework of these information systems so-called TICS "Territorial Intelligence Community Systems" conception, an action of modelling started in 2009. After definition of first models, which describe the data manipulated by the existing tools of the "Valise Catalyse", we realized that it was important and essential, to define the vocabulary allowing territorial intelligence specialists and computing specialists to communicate. Reminding of realised works in the modelling action we present in this article this last aspect of our work.

Impaired cardiac control of intracellular diastolic Ca2+ gives rise to arrhythmias. Whereas exercise training corrects abnormal cyclic Ca2+ handling in heart failure, the effect on diastolic Ca2+ remains unstudied. Here, we studied the effect of exercise training on the generation and propagation of spontaneous diastolic Ca2+ waves in failing cardiomyocytes. Post-myocardial infarction heart failure was induced in Sprague–Dawley rats by coronary artery ligation. Echocardiography confirmed left ventricular infarctions of 40 ±â€‰5%, whereas heart failure was indicated by increased left ventricular end-diastolic pressures, decreased contraction-relaxation rates, and pathological hypertrophy. Spontaneous Ca2+ waves were imaged by laser linescanning confocal microscopy (488 nm excitation/505–530 nm emission) in 2 μM Fluo-3-loaded cardiomyocytes at 37°C and extracellular Ca2+ of 1.2 and 5.0 mM. These studies showed that spontaneous Ca2+ wave frequency was higher at 5.0 mM than 1.2 mM extracellular Ca2+ in all rats, but failing cardiomyocytes generated 50% (P < 0.01) more waves compared to sham-operated controls at Ca2+ 1.2 and 5.0 mM. Exercise training reduced the frequency of spontaneous waves at both 1.2 and 5.0 mM Ca2+ (P< 0.05), although complete normalization was not achieved. Exercise training also increased the aborted/completed ratio of waves at 1.2 mM Ca2+ (P < 0.01), but not 5.0 mM. Finally, we repeated these studies after inhibiting the nitric oxide synthase with L-NAME. No differential effects were found; thus, mediation did not involve the nitric oxide synthase. In conclusion, exercise training improved the cardiomyocyte control of diastolic Ca2+ by reducing the Ca2+ wave frequency and by improving the ability to abort spontaneous Ca2+ waves after their generation, but before cell-wide propagation

International audienceThis collaboration focuses on the data-processing software evolution which implements an editorial function in territorial information systems in various using contexts. It results from collaboration between humanities, social sciences, computer science and information and communication science researchers, and which has been established since 2000 within the ISTI21 and the MSH LEDOUX22 framework. In a previous paper, we summed up the research activities about territorial intelligence since the seventies'. Essentially, it was a friendly data processing solutions development: PRAGMA for quantitative data analysis; ANACONDA and NUAGE for qualitative data analysis. Thanks to computer science researchers collaboration, the SITRA23 research action allowed the completing of statistical analysis data by spatial analysis and cartography tools. Then the ICASIT24 started updating and making the statistical data and spatial analysis software, previously developed to evolve within the networks and Internet framework. Progressively, we became aware of the editorial function importance of this analytical chain, directed towards an online results edition. This paper deepens the specific added value of computer science as well as information and communication sciences to the design and the territorial intelligence systems modelling

Aim: Cardiac troponins and natriuretic peptides are established for risk stratification in light-chain amyloidosis. Data on cardiac biomarkers in transthyretin amyloidosis (ATTR) are lacking. Methods and results: Patients (n = 1617) with any of the following cardiac biomarkers, BNP (n = 1079), NT-proBNP (n = 550), troponin T (n = 274), and troponin I (n = 108), available at baseline in the Transthyretin Amyloidosis Outcomes Survey (THAOS) were analyzed for differences between genotypes and phenotypes and their association with survival. Median level of BNP was 68.0 pg/mL (IQR 30.5–194.9), NT-proBNP 337.9 pg/mL (IQR 73.0–2584.0), troponin T 0.03 μg/L (IQR 0.01–0.05), and troponin I 0.08 μg/L (IQR 0.04–0.13). NT-proBNP and BNP were higher in wild-type than mutant-type ATTR, troponin T and I did not differ, respectively. Non-Val30Met patients had higher BNP, NT-proBNP and troponin T levels than Val30Met patients, but not troponin I. Late-onset Val30Met was associated with higher levels of troponin I and troponin T compared with early-onset. 115 patients died during a median follow-up of 1.2 years. Mortality increased with increasing quartiles (BNP/NT-proBNP Q1 = 1.7%, Q2 = 5.2%, Q3 = 21.7%, Q4 = 71.3%; troponin T/I Q1 = 6.5%, Q2 = 14.5%, Q3 = 33.9%, Q4 = 45.2%). Three-year overall-survival estimates for BNP/NT-proBNP and troponin T/I quartiles differed significantly (p<0.001). Stepwise risk stratification was achieved by combining NT-proBNP/BNP and troponin T/I. From Cox proportional hazards model, age, modified body mass index, mutation (Val30Met vs. Non-Val30Met) and BNP/NT-proBNP (Q1–Q3 pooled vs. Q4) were identified as independent predictors of survival in patients with mutant-type ATTR. Conclusions: In this ATTR patient cohort, cardiac biomarkers were abnormal in a substantial percentage of patients irrespective of genotype. Along with age, mBMI, and mutation (Val30Met vs. Non-Val30Met), cardiac biomarkers were associated with surrogates of disease severity with BNP/NT-proBNP identified as an independent predictor of survival in ATTR

Modelling of the TICS Catalyse: realization of a project

An action of modelling of the Territorial Intelligence Community Systems or TICS began in 2009 at the end of the CaEnti project. It has several objectives: - Establish a set of documents understandable by computer specialists who are in charge of software developments, and by territorial intelligence specialists. - Lay the foundation of a vocabulary describing the main notions of TICS domain. - Ensure the evolution and sustainability of tools and systems, in a highly scalable research context. The definition of models representing the data manipulated by the tools of the suitcase Catalyse is not sufficient to describe in a complete way the TICS domain. We established a correspondence between this computer vocabulary and vocabulary related to the theme to allow communication between computer scientists and territorial intelligence specialists. Furthermore it is necessary to describe the roles of TICS. For that it is interesting to use other kinds of computing models. In this communication we present the modelling of TICS project with business process.Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la EducaciĂł

Main geochemical characteristics of the deep geothermal brine at Vendenheim (Alsace, France) with constraints on temperature and fluid circulation

International audienceThe first analytical results relative to the native geothermal brine discharged from the two deep wells drilled at Vendenheim, in the Rhine Graben, in Alsace (France), obtained within the framework of the Vendenheim FONROCHE geothermal project and the H2020 European DEEP-EGS project, suggest the geochemical composition of this brine is very similar to that of the fluid which was discharged from the neighboring Cronenbourg deep well, in the past. It is also close to that of the brines discharged from the other deep wells located in more northern areas of the Rhine Graben, such as Soultz-sous-Forêts, Rittershoffen, in France, and Landau, Insheim, in Germany. This Na-Cl brine has a TDS value around 100 g/l and a pH value close to 5, before cooling and degassing. Except for the calcium and strontium concentration values, which are much lower than those in the Soultz-sous-Forêts, Rittershoffen, Landau and Insheim brines, the other concentration values of major and trace species are comparable. Given the similarity of the geochemical composition of all these waters, their origin is probably similar but also multiple, because it results from processes of mixing between primary brines formed by advanced evaporation of seawater (probably until the stage of halite precipitation) and meteoric freshwaters, plus contributions from halite dissolution following successive marine transgression-regression cycles from the Triassic to Oligocene. As for the other deep brines, the main solute cation geothermometers give estimations of reservoir temperature close to 225 ± 25°C for the Vendenheim native brine. This estimation probably corresponds to the temperature of equilibrium at which this brine acquires its chemical composition by interaction with the reservoir rocks. The mineralogical assemblage in equilibrium with the brine at this temperature was described in previous studies. The concordant estimations of reservoir temperature, using thermometric relationships such Na-Li and Mg/Li, especially developed for oilfield and sedimentary basin brines, and existing thermal gradients from 40 to 60°C/km, suggest that the deep brines discharged from the granite basement could probably originate from Triassic sedimentary formations (Buntsandstein, for example) located at great depth (≥ 4 km), in the centre of the Rhine Graben, in which they acquire their high salinity and chemical composition at temperatures close to 225 ± 25°C. This assumption seems to be also supported by their Li, B and Sr isotopic signatures. These hot brines would then migrate through a complex, but still poorly defined system of deep faults (probably NE-SW but also NW-SE faults), from the sedimentary centre of the Rhine Graben to the granite-fractured basement and the Graben's NW borders
