Objective: To describe the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to patients referred for periapical surgery. Materials and Methods: An observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted from January 2014 to January 2015, at the Faculty of Stomatology Raúl González Sánchez. We worked with 57 patients referred to the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery for periapical surgery. Results: The most frequent cause of referral was the presence of periapical radiolucent area ≤1 cm (47.37%). The misdiagnosis was identified referral of patients with radiolucent areas without pulporadicular treatment performed (28.07%). The mistake was detected therapeutic shutter ductal extension defect (38.60%). The (29.82%) patients was treated by apical curettage. Conclusions: The main misdiagnosis was remission of radiolucent areas untreated root octopus. The main therapeutic mistake was the fault of the ductal extension seal

Purpose: The Palliative Care Study Group in conjunction with the Oral Care Study Group of the Multinational Association for Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) formed a sub-group to develop evidence-based guidance on the management of common oral problems in patients with advanced cancer. Methods: This guidance was developed in accordance with the MASCC Guidelines Policy. A search strategy for Medline was developed, and the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials were explored for relevant reviews and trials, respectively. Guidance was categorised by the level of evidence, and “category of guideline” (i.e., “recommendation”, “suggestion” or “no guideline possible”). Results: Twelve generic suggestions (level of evidence – 5), three problem-specific recommendations and 14 problem-specific suggestions were generated. The generic suggestions relate to oral hygiene measures, assessment of problems, principles of management, re-assessment of problems and the role of dental/oral medicine professionals. Conclusions: This guidance provides a framework for the management of common oral problems in patients with advanced cancer, although every patient requires individualised management

The degree of relationship between the styles of management leadership and quality of education in the Educational Institution José Antonio Encinas UGEL 15 – Huarochirí 2019.is what sets this investigation. In terms of methodology is the descriptive method and descriptive correlational design. As data collection technique and an instrument survey questionnaire with Likert responses we were used; applied to a representative sample of 132 teachers from the institution. Previously before being applied to the whole sample content validity was performed by expert judgment and reliability of the instrument through a pilot with the statistical technique Cronbach's alpha, the result shows indicates a very high reliability, which means the instrument should be applied to the entire sample, to present a favorable internal consistency and thus demonstrating its validity and reliability. Exploring the styles of management leadership consisted of three basic dimensions: Interpersonal, political and administrative. hypothesis testing with Pearson chi-square statistic was evaluated; obtaining values (P-values) lower than 0.05 (significance level), which indicated reject the null hypotheses and accept the alternative, the end result proves the existence of significant relationships between the two variables of study.

Integration of decision support systems to improve decision support performance

Decision support system (DSS) is a well-established research and development area. Traditional isolated, stand-alone DSS has been recently facing new challenges. In order to improve the performance of DSS to meet the challenges, research has been actively carried out to develop integrated decision support systems (IDSS). This paper reviews the current research efforts with regard to the development of IDSS. The focus of the paper is on the integration aspect for IDSS through multiple perspectives, and the technologies that support this integration. More than 100 papers and software systems are discussed. Current research efforts and the development status of IDSS are explained, compared and classified. In addition, future trends and challenges in integration are outlined. The paper concludes that by addressing integration, better support will be provided to decision makers, with the expectation of both better decisions and improved decision making processes
