On the foundations and extremal structure of the holographic entropy cone

The holographic entropy cone (HEC) is a polyhedral cone first introduced in the study of a class of quantum entropy inequalities. It admits a graph-theoretic description in terms of minimum cuts in weighted graphs, a characterization which naturally generalizes the cut function for complete graphs. Unfortunately, no complete facet or extreme-ray representation of the HEC is known. In this work, starting from a purely graph-theoretic perspective, we develop a theoretical and computational foundation for the HEC. The paper is self-contained, giving new proofs of known results and proving several new results as well. These are also used to develop two systematic approaches for finding the facets and extreme rays of the HEC, which we illustrate by recomputing the HEC on $5$ terminals and improving its graph description. Ornaments from the Magdalenian burial area in El Mirón Cave (Cantabria, northern Spain). Were they grave goods?

International audienceEl Mirón Cave, located in northern Atlantic Iberia, has produced important evidence of human occupation during the Lower Magdalenian (19-17.5 cal kya). Among the finds dating to this period is that of a disturbed primary burial of an adult woman. The excavation of the small area around the burial yielded a considerable number of ornamental items (mainly shell beads), but the actual association of any of them with the interment is problematic. The results of our study of the perforated marine shells and mammal teeth suggest that the ornamental objects were not grave goods, but rather were simply artifacts present in the occupation layers in this part of the cave. The materials used to make ornaments were gathered by collecting shells along the Late Glacial shore and by hunting ungulates. The perforation techniques used were similar to those found at contemporary sites in the Franco-Cantabrian region and the appearance of various elements from the manufacturing operatory chain indicates that some of the ornaments were made at the site. It was also possible to determine that some of the shells were used—probably suspended or attached to other objects. From a functional standpoint, the ornaments probably played not only an aesthetic role, but also a symbolic one, facilitating communication and exchanges among human groups

Diseño de las intalaciones de electricidad, ventilación, climatización y contra incendios para una nave industrial y un edificio destinado a viviendas

Este proyecto desarrolla el estudio de los sistemas de ventilación, climatización, contra incendios e instalación eléctrica de un recinto formado por una nave industrial, un edificio destinado a viviendas y una zona común. Los estudios de sistemas contra incendios e instalaciones eléctricas han sido estudiados por David Ruiz García. Los estudios de climatización, de ventilación y luminotécnicos han sido diseñados por Enrique Gárate Cuenca. Todas las instalaciones se han proyectado teniendo en cuenta la normativa vigente. En el presente proyecto se calculan y se detallan los elementos de todas las líneas de alimentación eléctrica, ya sean utilizadas para iluminación o para fuerza, las protecciones, los cuadros generales de distribución, los subcuadros, las derivaciones individuales, las centralizaciones de contadores, las instalaciones de enlace y en definitiva, todos los elementos necesarios para el correcto funcionamiento de la instalación, tanto del edificio como de la nave industrial. Para determinar la iluminación se ha elaborado un estudio luminotécnico que ha permitido obtener la potencia eléctrica necesaria para la iluminación y seleccionar las luminarias adecuadas. Para ello, se ha utilizado el software "Dialux". La instalación de ventilación se ha proyectado en función de las necesidades de renovación del aire ambiental. Al respecto de la climatización, se ha tenido en cuenta las exigencias caloríficas a partir de la orientación geográfica de los edificios, los materiales constructivos y el calor latente en su interior.
